Well we are back online with the new version of phpbb.

I am not finish setting up everything has there are many options that I have to go through and make sure that they are set correctly. If you have any problem please pm me using the pm me button or going to the user control panel "aka profile".

I will have a solution soon for the avatars and the style will change.

One thing that I think lacks in all PHPbb boards is the "fast reply" section which means you can reply without having to click to open a seprate reply box.

I cant help agreeing. I did like the old version. But i know that Louis put much work and effort into this and it is really nice.

for one thing we no longer have the saphiracoins, but I plan to make all the games and more available to the Dragonriders.

Some of the smilies are missing, don't know where they went.

friend and foes option in ucp "aka profile" is now working, the file that I had transfered was empty.

It's a new option which I am not used to, sorry, but you might want to check the FAQ faq.php#f60

phpbb 3 is very good indeed. Not to say anything but the phpbb 3 forum concept has given me ideas....

The new colour option is good to, although I think I'll continue to write in normal colours.

For the moment we are not running bbprotection, but the moment that the phpbb3 version comes out I will install it.
At the bottom of the posts there is a little "!" which users can use to report a post and then we would see these reports in the mcp

The "master control panel" would usually mean the Admin Control panel.

There's always been a way, you just have to go in the very first post of a topic and if you edit it you can change the name of the topic.

Don't worry, most dangerous things will ask you ... "do you want to do this" ... if you are fooling around and you get this, this means that you should put on the brakes and make sure of what you are doing. Then if you are sure try away and if somethings happen we now have logs that will tell me what happen and I can fix it.

Those Google[bot] ect, are spiders sent out from the search engines to crawl and store information and keywords in the search engines databases. (Note that the "spiders or crawlers" are actually just codes and scripts) The spider categorizes the words that its comes accross and keywords according to how imortant it is. You can also make bots come via the "meta tags" often found in Html and webpages. (Note if you want to view the source code for a web page, just right click -> View source, then you'll get the complete source code for that web page and how its constructed using that code, all except PHP which you can't view in a browser since its server sided) Meta tags can also contain important keywords which the bots then account for and place them as the most important. Bots from these search engines crawl the internet 24/7 looking through web pages and then categorizing all the data that it comes accross. A search engine usually send out 3 or 4 bots at a time to patrol the internet.

No problem, with the new forum software phpbb version 3, it was built to allow spiders to patrol the pages and collect data -- a new improved feature.

By the way, i think it sends out 3 or 4 spiders at a time.. might have to check myself up on that, but I;m pretty sure thats correct.
