I think the're going to make a 2nd and 3rd movie. Hopefully they'll be better to the book... but I don't see how that's possible since they screwed up so badly with the first movie. No Twins, dwarves, elves or anything x.x

They might make the second and third movies, just get a new director and/or screenwriter. (i hope they do) But some of the reviews were so bad they may have just gave up on the Eragon movies. Probably depends on how many movies they sell.

true but you must remember that it wasnt entirely their fault. It also depends on the amount of money they are given. they had a limited amount so they could do as much.

Yeah, the HAVE to make a second movie...otherwise i would be infuriated! I didnt care for the movie, but since they started the series, they may as well finish it.

Got a rumour for you. i saw someone on youtube you made a movie video and they said that Orik is suppose to be introduced early in the second movie (if there is going to be one). don't know if it's true but if would be fitting.

I'm a little skeptic about a sequel, didn't like the changes to the first, not so sure how much they will change of the second (if there is one).

Well Orik should certainly be in the next movie if they make one.

There's no doubt that they'll have to change the 2nd book too to make up for the mistakes they've made in the first...

But what /really/ matters is that they set the stage for making an AMAZING 3rd movie. If they add all of the missed details from the first movie into the 2nd movie (like adding more Katrina and Roran, etc.) then it could be possible that the third movie would be really really good.

The could do the second movie coz Arya could return mayb and Eragon goes with her and then the story could still carry on as Mutragh and Ajihad could still attacked and all that stuff. I wonder who would play oromis tho?.......

Half of that goes to the theaters, and not the guys who made it.

The fact that fans probably sent in a hundred death threats.

I think the plot of the eragon movie has been too much changed to have a good movie two and three.

i havent played the game but i hear its better than the movie.

I heard that the guy who played eragon (ed speleers or sumthin) already signed to do a second movie and i also did hear that they were supposed to start out with orik.

( The movie was way different from the book which dissapointed me a little but i still though the movie wasnt that bad...)

well yea thats the type of person i am too .... if i see 1 movie of a series i got to see them all... But I really think they will pull this off. I mean you know how many people have said how horrible it was just cuase it didnt go by the book. well.. i guess they heard that becuase i heard they were really going to stick to the book this time, also they have already started gathering new characters that are in the movie. I seriously cant wait for the second movie to see if they pull it off..... i got my fingers crossed!!

Yes i will deffinatly admit for CP allowing fox to make the first movie, and not going by the book must have really disappointed him.... but if CP is allowing Fox to make a second... well think about it. They must be doing something better

yea what zygot said about IGN saying it will come in in 2008, I totally belive it will take that long too. I bet prolly not till winter 2008 too. DO you know how long it will take to get the movie right( as long as they go by the book that is.... which i think they will). With all the scene swiches in between with eragon to roran to the varden... and so on. Also hey need new settings for the dwaven cities and ellsmera and what not. But once the movie is done.... with all this stuff in it.... I cant wait. Im trusting that they can pull this off and i hope they do very badly. i guarantee it; there will b a second and third movie. it is a planned series and they can't back out on it now. just as long as they get a new director and a new Eragon.

But what I don't get is how are they going to be able to do that even if they introduce all the key characters after they killed the ra'zac. Isn't that one of the main reason that Eragon and Roran band together at the end of Eldest to save Katrina from the Razac...but how is that going to happen if they killed them in Eragon the movie?

they'll figure out a way to do it without redoing eragon...all they have to do is introduce some charys they missed in book one and some info maybe in another way before they acually get into the book of eledest... so like the movie may have a different entrence then in the book. but if it gets the movie to be more accurate, im perfectly fine with that

Well its still a good movie... just get it through your head that its not like the book and its good... think of it as there was never a book of this movie, and the movie was not based off anything

They could not make a movie of the next few books with how many important details they missed on the first movie. they didnt even have his back cut open which is Eragons main problem in the second movie.

He did get his back cut by durza's sword but they just didn't show his back after that. I hope they do make a second and thrid movie.

they should re-do eragon and make it more like Lord of the Rings. Long and full of details. There are rumors about them making eldest next year but who really knows. They did buy all the rights for the movies but you wont get that much out of movie 3 cause they got the rights before CP made up his mind to do 4 books so be ready to have the 3rd movie to have a lot left out

I would like them to release at least one more movie. I mean, yeah, I would want all the books to become movies, them stick closer to the book, but I'm not really seeing that happen. But I do think they should do at least one more movie, simply because at the end of Eragon, we see Galbatorix cut open the map curtain to reveal his dragon, so that tells me that the story isn't over. So, at least one more to complete the movies, if not all, but closer to the books.

I agree, but I would want the cast back, I did like them. Sadly, I doubt they'd redo the first movie. Maybe if they can take some of the deleted scenes from the first one, they can use those as like a flash back for Eragon or something. Like start the movie with him talking, then show things like Roran and Katrina leaving, as well as the Twins testing him. Might help with the storyline, could get it closer to the books then. Maybe...

i did not like the movie it was a joke compared to the book.

they completly screwed themselvs by killing sloan and the razac they are both a major part of book two and three so they cant make a secconed or third movie w/o redoing the first one.

when did they kill sloan? As for the razac they might not have died. They could still be resurrected. As for a second movie the only guess as to the time would be in 2011.

It might be possible that they could redo Eragon, and do it better than the first attempt. Then Eldest and the other books would be a much bigger possibility.
