What's an avatar?

An avatar is the pic under our names you can choose to add one(ill leave that explaination to louis)
You can only put anything 100 piks in with and length or lower and it has to be 49k or less also


and please do not post nudity pictures or somthing stuped(note:you can get banned)

I would like to help all who cannont find an avatar, Number one, please remain calm, number TWO, Google has a very nice selection on their image page, just remember to put "avatar" in the search bar. You have to open a hyperlink some how.

Just by making posts. I think once you have 40 posts, you get your first sword and go up a rank. The highest rank is at 3000 posts, Sovereign rider.

What's after master dragonrider?

Well, normally an extra field appears in your profile called custom rank name or something, and you just type in whatever rank name you want.

Well.. yeah that's something only Admins can do. It's like a basic setting for the forum.

to pm someone you look at the bottom of one of their posts and it should have a small panel with the letters 'pm' on it. click that panel and it'll go to the pm screen, where you type your message and a subject and hit send, just like a post

The only reason that the group is closed is that you cannot add yourself to it, shade or an admin has to do it. That only has to do with permissions, it doesn't mean that we don't want you.

If the images are too big, I suggest shrinking them so ppl don't need to scroll though a whole page to get to the next post; unlike some members of this forum *caugh*i_love_arya!*caugh**caugh*

how do you put pics in the signiture area?

If its on a url(like if you go to google, find an image, click on it so its the only thing on the page), take the web address(copy and paste) and put the url inbetween this "[img]'s".

If you have to take an image from the internet, please be sure to include the website from whence you got the pic from. That's called achknowledging the owner of the pic.

I would recommend using Photobucket if you have registered there or http://www.tinypic.com if you don't want to register. Just upload the picture there, and post the url from the IMG Code for Forums and Message Boards text box into your signature. Hope that helps.

I always used imageshack.us. I used to try several imagehosts on the net, but months after, turned out I ended up with broken links... meaning, I lost all of my pics I put there. So careful with your imagehost choice... If the site die, your pics vanished along with it

What do you mean by board presence?
Well the 'peasant' thing is your current rank. Your rank changes as your post count gets higher. Here is the topic: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=54

Simply click on the little picture of the egg.

That was probably because your posts were not yet approved by the staff. You only need our approval for your first post, and this is only to make sure you are not a spambot. Sometimes there is a delay, as we are only human.

-Click on User Control Panel in the top left corner of your screen.

That should show you a place where you can write in the area below your posts.

The moderators or the admins select an option that we have to sticky it.
We try and do it to the important topics.

It was a system we had eons ago, where you'd get two coins for a post. Others could also donate coins to each other. It was intended for these coins to purchase things, but I don't think that ever worked right. I don't remember exactly, I wasn't on the staff back then anyway.

If my memory serves me correctly, we had an 'arcade' section with various flash games in it complete with forum-wide scoreboards, you had to pay coins to play the games.

Why did we get rid of that anyway? I thought it was a rather good idea, the scoreboards added a fun competitive edge.

I think it's a great idea personally, but we'd have to get Louis' thoughts on that subject.
