i jus started reading these recently, and loved them. i read them really fast (goblet of fire in one day), and cant wait for year seven. I cant believe dumbledore died tho that mad me mad. who knows what day-month/etc 7 comes out?

I think the date is different. It's suppose to be closer to the movie, which comes out on the 13th, one day before my birthday.
I'll be in line for the book, and I'll actually read this one. Our bookstore has this sweet event for the books.

My sister insists on reading it first, and she will not go to sleep until she has read the entire book.

great book. but alot of spoilers are either: fake, well known, or just plain stupid.

i WILL get the first copy in public sale. i will kill for it.

ohh, i would do anything to get my hands on the last Harry Potter book the night it is released. i'm gonna beg my parents to reserve my copy or i swear to the Almighty, i will sneak out and walk to Barnes and Noble so i could buy it myself.

Where I live it's free to reserve the book and you don't have to pay for the book until you have it.

I had to read that part three times before I believed it actually happened... I have read it many times since trying to find a loophole in a way that Dumbledore had really survived it, but I always cry on that part no matter how many times I read through it.....

In each Harry Potter book, the 'bad guy' seems to make their appearance in Chapter Thirteen!


Sorcerer's Stone - Professor Snape threatens Professor Quirrell, who we think is a decent man for resisting Snape. We soon discover that Professor Quirrell has joined with Lord Voldemort.


Chamber of Secrets - We learn about T.M. Riddle, which stands for Tom Marvolo Riddle, and is an anagram for I Am Lord Voldemort. We thought at first that Tom was a good person because he led us to believe that he had captured Hagrid with the creature from the Chamber of Secrets.


Prisoner of Azkaban - Wormtail, or Peter Pettigrew, fakes his death by hiding, making everyone believe that he had been eaten by Hermione's cat, Crookshanks. Of course, he's a rat, so how could we have thought there could possibly be anything wrong with him?


Goblet of Fire - 'Mad Eye' Moody, or at least, who we think is 'Mad Eye' Moody, makes his appearance, and turns Draco Malfoy into a white ferret, leading everyone to believe that he's a cool guy. A little Veritaserum, and short supply of Polyjuice Potion help reveal the truth!


Order of the Phoenix - Harry has detention with Dolores Jane Umbridge, and at no point during the book could anyone have thought that she was even remotely close to being a nice, caring, or loving person.


Half-Blood Prince - Harry and Professor Dumbledore go into the Pensieve and see the first meeting of Professor Dumbledore and Tom Riddle (who is already showing his 'Dark Lord' tendencies) at the orphanage.
