i think that Arya might have some feelings for Eragon but is afraid to say anything or show it because of her age and position ans of Eragons positon cuz he needs to keep his mind on his responsiblities.....another reason i think Arya likes Eagon in the 2nd book Saphira said she sensed something but idk maybe she doesnt but i think she does.

But in angela prediction she said something about "eternal life" and once oromis said that since eragon share eleves' age he's yet very young (i forgot, maybe on the conversation when oromis first knowing about eragon's feeling). Arya definately has feelings for Eragon... you could tell when she was talking with him about the Menoa Tree. She could still be getting over the loss of Faolin, I think she did love him considering she had his flower in her room. Also yes I agree that she feels that its a matter of a duty between them and no love can come between them. She also might be afraid of what would happen. Considering Angela said it could go either way... maybe it means Arya will die in the next book. Any thoughts?

I respectfully disagree. Part of being very quiet is one of her personality traits.
She is determined , intelligent, strong, soft, empathic, wise, respectful of traditions, she is her own person and even if her decisions was at the cost of being banished from her mother's presence-she went on with what she wanted to do and not what her mother expected or wanted. She is loyal,
compassive and does not act hastely.
I don't know. She may not have a lot of dialogue, but her character has been given to us thoughout the storyline. Otherwise how could I have been able to draw these traits. I think she is awesome and I would say a feminist to some degree.
But, hey! That's my opinion. That's what's great in having freedom of speech.

Perhaps, due to the horror and pain of loosing Faolin, her father, Evandar, and her mother’s love, Arya became more unfeeling and bottled up than she originally was? And, now that she has come to terms w/ Ellesmera again, she can face some of this pain and work towards other things, perhaps being a Rider or Eragon’s love, or other things entirely.

I think she likes Eragon, but just as a friend. Eragon himself realized how big the difference of age is. Eragon is a child compared to Arya. You would not like to be together with someone not even half your age, would you?
She is a lot more experienced then Eragon. So, maybe she is just trying to stay away from him, so she does not hurt him.

there is no evidence to support Arya loving Eragon. And personaly i don't think CP would turn this into a happily ever after win the battle and the girl kindof story. I really doubt Eragon will fall in love with someone and actualy start a true relationship with them.

I agree completely!!!! I have seen several shows and read books where there are people who are not suppose to be in love because of their jobs: Jack and Sam (Stargate SG1) Lee and Amanda (Scarecrow and Mrs.King) Ron and Hermione (Harry Potter and the Deathly hallows) and sevral others too. . . and they all actually helped to get the job done. Because if one is in trouble, but getting whatever they are suppose to be doing (fighting evil) done helps the other person get out of danger, than the first person would want to work extra hard so the other person could be safe. . . so it helps to have someone u love working with u. So I don't see why Arya and Eragon's relationship wouldn't work out!
