Despite being turned into an elf, their mental connection still held and it was easy for Eriel to reach Emrhyst. Using the knife as a pick-lock, she opened the door and, with Emrhyst, headed towards to armoury. When they reached, they were surprised to see no guards there. They checked every hiding spot they could find, there were still no guards. Then, as fast as lighting, Eriel dashed forwards, took her dagger, sword, longbow, arrows and then found a rapier for Emrhyst. She headed into the place where they felt Star Gazer was.

OOC: o, i guess so. I'll remember to incorporate that when my next turn comes around.

OCC: I think it is your turn

OOC: ok then.

Faefnir first blocked and decapitated the guard, then he used his sword as kind of a climbing tool. He thrust it into one of the cracks in the wall, then used his newfound flexibility to stand on top of it. Fortunately, he was still very tall in human form, so reaching Reb from the sword was very easy. he used the hair pin, which he kept in his pocket, to pick her locks. When she started to drop down, he quickly caught her and put her on his shoulder. He jumped back onto the floor and took his sword out of the wall. After sheathing it, he felt her neck for a pulse and listened for breathing. She still had a faint pulse and her breathing was slow and laborious. He took her onto his shoulders again, then went back to the medical room. "Is Star gazer alright? I managed to find Reb.

Eriel knelt beside Star gazer. The doctor struck her with the hilt again and she moaned in pain. 'This is going nowhere...' she snatched the sword from the doctor's hand and muttered, "Brisingr Heill." Star gazer started to sweat. When the doctor touched her brow, he turned and slapped Eriel, shouting, "You fool! You made it worse!" Eriel glared at him, and then calmly said, "She is a dragon, she breathes fire." After awhile, Feafnir came in with Reb. "Oh great, another one to heal." The doctor complained. Eriel ignored him and let Emrhyst answer him. She said, "Well then, maybe you'd want to be out there." She pointed at the men fighting for their lives. Eriel looked at the semi-concious Star gazer, with her mind, Eriel told her, "This is going to hurt. But it will make you a dragon again. Atra ono skulblaka." Eriel watched as Star gazer writhed in pain as wings grew out of her back. Her head became more triangular, a tail started growing. "Help me Emrhyst! I cant sustain it!" Instantly, they melded their minds. Scales started to form. "Reb, put your hands on her head!" Claws started to form and then Star Gazer let out a roar. She was a dragoness again.

OOC: Feafnir.... stop calling me a 'he' pls. I'm going to put it into the story muahaha-

IC: "I am not going to do anything for you after such an insult on great golden dragon of wrath." Emrhyst snorted in amusement. You know Feafnir, I could crush you right now..."

OOC: star... bad move =P

IC: "Stargazer! What are you thinking? The whole room's gonna come down on us!" Emrhyst snorted. They merged their minds again and teleported everyone out of the room just as Feafnir's golden form materialiased. "Phew... That was close."

"Wha-??" Emrhyst snarled, I'm a female you...you... ruthless barbarian! Eriel then continued, "Gah! After travelling for so long together and you dont even know my gender?!" Eriel stomped away from the group and sat on a nearby rock, her dragon curled protectively around her. When Feafnir tried to apologize, she snarled at him.

OOC: I think i'll wait for Feafnir =P I wanna see what he'll do haha~

Faefnir stood shocked at Star's comments. But he decided to do nothing since Star clearly knew how to mediate better than he. At least concerning this situation. He just stood by and let Star do her work.

OOC: surprised? lol

OOC: I was expecting that. Just... not as much as a heartfelt apology LOL still... this could be interesting =P

IC: Eriel allowed a tinge of blue to come into her eyes before she suddenly noticed and forcefully removed it. She dearly hoped Reb didn't see it. She heard Reb's joke about Feafnir's eyesight and allowed herself a giggle, She was grateful for it. "Thanks Reb."

OOC: HELLO!!! im in the cave with the stag!!!

OOC: i thought u were out there? well, take your turn and think of some excuse why we didn't see you.

OOC: AHHHHHHH!!!!!
IC: Aurum was flying over the desert back to the urgl city. The stag ran below him, easilly keeping Aurum's pace. As soon as he had recounted the story to the stag they had decided to depart and try to find Faefnir. As they neared the city, Aurum decided to try and find him with his mind and contact him as Faefnir taught him. He reached out and found the great force that he recongnized as Feafnir's concionce. "Feafnir? Where are you? I've brought the Stag to help."

"Oh great..." Eriel mounted Emrhyst and took off for the castle. Then, something caught her eye. Without a word, Emrhyst swerved and soon caught to with the Falcon. (OOC:You ARE a falcon, right alfa?)

OOC: yes but im gonna wait for feafnir...

Emrhyst and Eriel soon returned to the lair. "Okay guys, I'm back. How's Star and Reb?" She looked at them then said ,"Never mind." She sat on a rock and Emrhyst curled around her.

"Well thanks for letting me worry guys," Aurum said as he landed behind Emrhyst and shifted forms. "Okay first things first. If you guys always enjoy this much excitement, I'm going to need a sword. Faefnir, can you help me with that?" then catching sight of Eriel he looked around and said confused "What'd I miss?"

OOC: she was talking to me.

Eriel winced as she saw Star (OOC:Shouldn't that be Reb?) sit up then spoke to Reb, "So... How're you doing?" She was interrupted by a peculiar scent that reminded her of an under-used scroll. She turned back and saw that a rack of scrolls had fallen off a shelf, revealing something shining.

OOC: Yay! we're back!

OOC: yeah, sorry. I was waiting for Alfa, but I guess it wasn't his turn.

"Good morning sleepy head." Eriel cheerfully said. Emrhyst snorted a little in an attempt to contain her 'laughter'.

Aurum followed the stag out of the main chamber, down a long passage to the armory. There he marveld at the many swords, daggers, bows, and other weapons which he didnt even recognize. He finally selected a short sword which was amazinglly light for its size. He liked that becaus he would be able to carry it in flight. The stag said he had buisness to attend to and asked if Aurum would be able to find his way back on his own. He assured the stag he would. The stag left, traveling farther down the hall. Aurum set out in the other direction towards the main chamber, suddenlly there was a sharp pain his his side. He fell over clutching his side. He looked and could find no injury, but his hands were now stained with blood, his own blood. He cried out, but was sure he was so far that none would hear him...

OOC: sorry i was gone... went out of town...

OOC: it's no problem. who's turn is it now?

OOC: it would be mine.

IC: Eriel heard Aurum's cry and stood rigid. Her dragon flicked her tail in rage. Emrhyst spoke afew words to Eriel, after a minute, they noded their heads. Emrhyst rushed into the hall with Eriel who had already nocked her bow. She strode up to Aurum and touched his brow with her Gedwey Ignasia. She then shoved Leth back and muttered afew words of power which rang through the hall. Immediately, she crumpled to the ground, as did her dragon, but not before she told the others, "I'm transfering my life force into his body, my own as well as my dragon's will have very little energy after this, keep it safe while I venture into Aurum's mind."

OOC: OK, guess I can't. sorry about that everyone.

OOC: I don't know LOL well anyway, the story can go in different directions now. if you are consious, your in pain, and im helping to alleviate it. If you arent, im helping to bring you out of your 'coma' hm....

OOC: Lets go with concious...
IC: Aurum fell to the ground, his mind reeling. He knew there was a fight ensueing but he could not concentrate. He just felt like his head was going to explode. He yelled in pain. He was still bleeding from his side, but now there was a long gash there. He could not control his thoughts. They were wildlly spinning through memories and random ideas. He then felt his mind suddenlly reach out. He felt the great power of Faefnir's concious and forced out a solid thought, hoping Faefnir would hear it:
"HELP!"
He then frelt a power moving near his side. The wound seemed to heal for a moment, but then refused to yeild to whatever power was trying to close it. Something was preventing the wound from being healed. It ripped open again and he screamed in agony, the cry going out from mind and mouth...

Eriel worked hard to alleviate the pain, but even her energy combined with her dragon's could do only so much to help. "C'mon Aurum, you can survive this." She focused her energy again and tried to close the wound. It hurt being in his mind as she felt what ever he was feeling, and the feeling that dominated his being now was none other than immense pain. While she struggled with the wound, she said words of encouragement in the ancient language, transfering her knowledge of it so that Aurum could understand. She grit her teeth as another spasm of pain passed.

OOC:Thanks for picking up on that star... i was going for that kinda wound... but the eating away at my soul part is a little harsh???
IC: Aurum was now totally oblivious now to what was going on outside of his own body. He felt two forces battleing inside of him. The first was Pain the other he did not know. The outside force kept pushing back at the Pain and calling to Aurum in a language he understood, but didnt know. The pain would push back at the outside force, and then the force would push back. It was a repeating sequence. Aurum felt himself weaken, even as he discovered this pattern. He felt the Pain draining his energy, his life. Then a few words drifted through his mind. He didnt know what they were but he understood them to mean "You can." That was all he needed. If he was going out he was going to do it fighting. He began pushing back at the Pain. Adding his power to that of the outside force, which he soon realized was Eriel. He felt his own power slipping even as he made this recongnition. He continued pushing but he knew he wouldnt be able to for much longer. He then realized that he had lost physical conciousness. He kept fighting at the Pain, and only hoped that somehow, someone would be able to help him...

In his mind, Eriel shouted, "I won't do that Feafnir! I would have to enter his mind completely for that. I'm only on the fringe right now. Eriel noticed the power of the wound giving way to an alien force. She added her strength to it and forced it shut. But just as it was closed, she felt immense pain in her head, and heard Aurum screaming as well.

OOC: GREAT! you guys leave it for ME to decide if i DIE or not!!! Well take this!!!
IC:Aurum soon felt the great power that he now easilly recognized as Faefnir's concious, add his power to Aurum's and Eriel's. However Aurum grew weaker and weaker. He could now feel a bit outside of his mind. He knew that the wound had been closed, but he could still feel the Pain inside him, infecting his body. It was spreading out as the trio battled it in the middle. The Pain was growing, spreading throughout his body now. They had only sealed it inside him by closing the wound. But soon he had a plan. A way of removing himself from it instead of the other way around. He could only push out this thought to Faefnir and Eriel: "Keep It he..."
He did not have enough energy to finish the thought. His direct connection was cut off because of his weakness. He only hoped they understood...

Eriel felt intense pain, and then the sensation of Aurum pushing her out of his mind. His resolve was too strong for the elf to match. She was pushed back into her own body. She sat up with a start as Emrhyst nudged her. With a trembling voice, she said, "Aurum... He is slipping away from us and passing into the shadow."

OOC:BULL CRAP I KNOW WHAT IM DOING!!!

IC:Aurum began panicing. They had left him. He did not understand. He had ment for them to hold the Pain back while he tried to teleport himself. He had hoped that that would leave the Pain behind while he and the others were simplly moved away.
But now they were gone. His last hope had died away. He was to weak to fight by himself. What could he do?
He felt himself slipping away, furthur and further into darkness.
Then it hit him. Eriel had merged her mind with his. His power usually worked the other way around, after he had visited a place he could teleport there, but what if a place visited him? He didn't have time to think about it. He mustered enough strength to reach out and find the power stored in his ring. He realeased it and let it flow, but restricted it to his mind. Then he forced himself to think "Gath eka un iet draumr unin vindr."
He left his body behind, and suddenlly found himself merged with Eriel's thoughts. He could see his own body, lying infront of him, on the brink of death.

Eriel moaned as she left another consiousness in her mind, it accidentally looked into one of her memories. One of the most embarsassing ones too. She shuddered then realised it was Aurum. Aurum What are you doing in my head... rumaging through my memories! (Ok, i rly hope i ain't God-moding...) Emrhyst looked at Aurum's limp body and carried it back to Feafnir. She looked at Zantya sadly. Then made a mental connection with her. She lent Zantya enough energy to withstand the pain.

OOC: i didnt plan on that but hey it worked!IC: "I'm sorry Eriel. I don't really know what I'm doing up here. But my body is dying, your's isn't. I figured I'd be better off in here. Hopefully Faefnir can fix mine..."

Emrhyst looked at Reb with anxiety in her eyes, then flew over to Aurum and put her claw on Feafnir's, lending her strength to the healing process.

"Umm we have a problem..." Aurum relayed to Eriel. "I dont know how to get back... I dont have the energy... I used the ring on my finger to get out... I cant do it on my own..."

OOC: it's Eriels. if she doesn't post tonite, i'll PM her and remind her to post.

OOC: Guys dont worry... Im just in another past of the world =) and school's back soo... >.< Can't post s often

IC: Eriel screamed within her head, "What do you mean you can't get out!" She frowned as she sensed him toying 'accidentally' with her memories again. "I'll push you out, but be warned, it will hurt." She gathered her energer and pushed him stright out of his mind and into his body. She slumped back onto the wall. Emrhyst listened to Star and flew back to her rider.

OOC: >< I hate school. Thank heavens I don't have much more to go.

Faefnir felt Aurum go back into his body despite the fact that he wasn't in Faefnir's mind. He used some of his power to make it less painful. Then he walked over to Star and Reb. Star, is Reb going to be OK? I'm worried about you two.

Aurum was hurled back into his own body. Thankful to be back he opened his eyes, only to see Zantya lying against a wall in pain. "What the heck did I miss?" he thought to himself. Then he said aloud, "What can I do?"

OOC: Mmm... I'l try lol. Been rather busy lately, Exam c'min soon.

IC:Eriel sighed as she felt Aurum fly out of her mind, she then turned her attention to Reb. "The blade of a shade. Ouch." She was about to attempt healing the wound when she thought she felt something hostile nuding her mind.

Eriel laid a hand on Reb's brow and recoiled quickly. "The fever burns." She looked at Reb's abdomen. "This is beyond my skill to heal..."

OOC: is Aurum ever going to post?

OOC: sorry guys! been busy and i havent been getting on unless i got a email note, which i never did... anyway...
IC:Aurum followed faefnir towards the main chamber. He was stilll drained of energy, but he could not just sit. He smelled the rancid smell, it was almost unbearable. He continued down the hall, following Faefnir. Sunndenlly he heard a sound to his left. It was almost undistinguishable, but it sounded like a short intake of breath. He spun drawing his sword. It was to dark for human eyes to distinguish the huddle leaning against the wall, but his falcon eyes picked out the figure easily. Aurum said only:
"Leth..."

Eriel watched Feafnir. She ran off after Reb quickly, pillars passed her so quickly it seemed like one whole stone wall. Emrhyst followed her rider stopped as she saw Leth waiting for her sister with a smug look on her face. She roared with anger and hate.

OOC: if its my turn pass...

OOC: no. I go after Eriel. You go after me, Alfa.

Faefnir looked back towards the main chamber and saw Leth standing there, smirking at Eriel. He roared, then charged towards her. He got between Leth and Eriel, then growled his challenge at her. You leave now before I have to kill you!

OOC: ok its my turn now right???
pass... i got nothing...

Eriel stared at Zantya for a moment before stepping back to give the combatants more space. Emrhyst growled and did likewise, though her eyes never left Leth.

Aurum was carried to a side chamber. Feafnir left to fight. Aurum was slowlly loosing conciousness. The move between minds had been hard on him, and he could feel the ring pulling at his energy still.
He had not had enough. It was to big of a move to penetrate a mind. And now he was paying for it. While in Eriel's head her strength had sustained him. But now he was becoming weaker and weaker.
He felt himself slipping into the void. He did not fight this time.
He knew it was his time.
He closed his eyes, barelly concious, moments from death...
He heard one of the two left in the room mutter something, then he took in one final breath, and was consumed by the void...
OOC: sorry guys i just cant keep going in this rp any more... im to busy... and this was the perfect time to get out...

IC:Eriel stared in horror as she felt Aurum's life extinguished. Emrhyst snarled at Leth. She won't get away with this. Emrhyst told her rider before leaping off and pinning Leth on the ground. She roared and was about to bite her head off with she felt immense pressure pushing her towards the wall.
