SEQUEL INFO:

It has also stated on wiki:

"It has believed the special feature 'Chapter Five: Only the Beginning' on Disc Two of the Eragon DVD, hints at a sequel."

Also on the inheritance trilogy dedicated section on wikipedia it said:
http://inheritance.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

"The Eldest movie has yet to be confirmed, but it could be a possibility. It is assumed that if the Eragon movie does well at the box office that Christopher Paolini will give 20th Century Fox the rights for Eldest. More information will be posted on this page as it comes in. Edward Speleers has stated that he was training up for a second movie, and an unofficial report said something about the movie being filmed in Morocco, which is a good sign for many that Eldest, The Movie will be made."

Not to mention on wiki, eragon box office reception has been known to be quite good:

"Eragon has grossed approximately $73.7 million in the US and $166.8 million elsewhere, totalling $240.5 million worldwide, as of February 8, 2007"

So as for a sequel it seems like? good or bad thing... i'm not sure. but i am excited for the DVD, special features look to be good, i really want to see the cut out scenes.

No because I hated it and they screwed up the storyline.

But did you know alot of people go on there and make up stuff? It's not the most reliable website for information. Many people go on there and put lies.

regardless of how accurate wiki is, i think that fox had planned on a sequel. its pretty obvious by the ending to eragon. i guess we'll just wait till the dvd comes out and either buy/rent it and find out whether there are "hints" on the dvd of a sequel OR for those who don't plan on buying/renting it im sure someone will post it on here.

I think I'll buy it and take notes on everything that's wrong and then post them on here (yes, I know I have no life lol). Plus those extra features sound pretty cool.
