i think the trailers look pretty good and i'm taking my friend to see it. (she used to like harry potter) i'm very excited.

As for the fact that there's no doubt it would be cheaper to just buy the movie, I have no doubt about that.

On a preview I saw yesterday, I saw Harry riding a thestral... Where did y'all hear that they were using brooms? He wasn't the only thestral I saw, there were about five others.

hey all i dont know if any of you heard about this or not but thought i would come and share. on sunday 10/9(central i think) channel 118 on dish network, (A&E), they will have a behind the scenes look at Ootp. if your in texas then the time should be the same. the channel may be different though. but check your local listings just to make sure of the channel and time for your area.

AnnieBee ~ yea i know i cant wait! but unfortunately i have to. my sister and i needed to get my mom some meds. so it was either a movie and dinner or get her meds. we decided her meds were much more important. anyway im looking forward to the behind the scenes thing.

Don't cry, Annie! Laugh at my misfortune of not being able to see it at all. I'm pushing it with begging my g-parents to buy the game for me. (I'm saving my money for the last book, so I can't afford to buy the game myself. )

What game was it? The amount of time it takes for a kid (of any age) to beat a game depends on what game it is.

PS2? That's been around for as long as I can remember. The PS3 came out towards the end of last year though. Maybe that's the one you mean? That's about how much the game costs for one. ($40)

Movie got 3 1/2 starts in the paper today. I also read another review that said the finale battles were sort of like Die Hard with wands.

Hey, Annie, remember that preview I told you about? The one with thestrals? I saw it again and I payed close attention to thestral detail: from what I saw, they're like she described them in the book. There were three of them and Harry was on one, I couldn't see the other two people, but I assume they were Ron and Hermione. Harry was smiling, which I don't think he would be doing if they were on their way to the MoM, but I could be wrong. It does seem a 50/50 chance that they will ride thestrals to the MoM, so we'll just have to wait til tomorrow.

Dawn ~ yea thats what i heard too. and on the behind the scenes thing, the director (i think) said they wanted the battle scene to be like nothing that has ever been seen before. i cant wait to watch the movie. my sis and i get to go on sunday. i cant wait for that day

did they at least do the big scene where the twins pulled out all the works on umbridge?? i wont get to see it until sunday afternoon

I don't get to see it until Saturday. YAY! I get to drag my grandma out of bed at 9:00 in the morning to go see a totally awesome movie.

Saw this movie last night. It was ok. I didn't feel absorbed by it though, i found myself a few times looking at the theater wall. The CG on the magic was impressive however.

I don't think she did it on purpose, didn't Snape tell Umbridge she used the last of his stock on Cho? (Another thing that wasn't like the book, but it wasn't really that big a detail in my opinion.) My grandma is officially a Harry Potter fan, whether she admits it or not. She couldn't stop talking about the movie, no matter how hard she tried to act like she didn't really like the movie, it was hilarious watching her try though. (I am such a bad influence on these ppl. )

I didnt really like the 5th movie to short ,abrupt actually ,some of the really good parts of the book were misisng .

The whole group/posse thing at hogwarts was entirely wicked!!! They kicked serious voldy butt!!!!!!! Not to mention Mrs. Weasley was killer takin' on bellatrix like that, she even freaked 'dear bella' out a bit!!!!!

I went to see it in theaters and then I got the DVD when it came out. I really, really like it! My favorite part is, of course, the battle scene between Dumbledore and Voldemort! It was spectacular! I don't know if it's my favorite of the movies, though. I really liked Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

I asked for the DVD for Christmas, too! But mom said that she wouldn't buy it for me, because she felt that buying Harry Potter things for Christmas was bad.

Sorry, I didn't write everything down. I really got the DVD, it's just that she wouldn't get it for me. She told me that I'd have to get it myself, and so I did. Sorry that I didn't write it all down.

And I also bet that whoever it was is on the nice list for the next few years, lol.

I liked them all moderatly but my problem was that they cut out interesting stuff(like the World Cup)

wow this is ssssooo exciting i did not even know that the new movie is coming out so that means ill be in north carolina when it comes out then a couple of months after that the third book will be coming out in sep. (eragon if you were wondering i'm not that crazy to think that it was harry potter) then at the end of the year i will be graduating with my adn. this year is going to be awesome i must say!!!

I agree. The World Cup would have slowed the pace of the movie and been somewhat boring to watch. Like I said, they did just perfect with it and portrayed the Triwizard Tournament just perfect, except with the Third Task. I mean, they did alright with it, but they left out the dementors and the sphinx, some things I was looking forward to seeing. But they might have made them look unrealistic and it would have made the tournament look unreal.

I thought they did perfect with the second task! It was just like in the books. The first task was changed from the book, but it made it so much better for the movie. But, my absolute favorite scene out of the fourth movie was when Lord Voldemort was resurected and him and Harry dueled. Lord Voldemort was my favorite character in the books, and they just made him so perfect for the movie. Sorry if I disappiont anyone, but I just have this thing for the villains in books and movies. In some ways, they're so much more interesting than the heroes!

My favorite scene out of the first movie was when they played the real life chess. My favorite scene from the second movie was where Harry fought the Basilisk. My favorite scene from the third movie was scenes involving the dementors. My favorite scene from the fourth movie was Voldemort vs. Harry. And my favorite scene from the fifth movie was Voldemort vs. Dumbledore. Probably, the scene I am looking forward to the most out of the sixth movie is either the cave or the battle, particularly when Snape kills Dumbledore, because I want to see how they do that scene. They sort of toned down Sirius's death scene in the fifth movie, but it was still powerful.

yeah thanks guys i was really too lazy to look it up plus i know u guys are on top of things and u would know i cant wait i love harry potter i dont know if i will be able to see it the day it comes out cuz of STUPID school!!!!!!!!

I'd probably have to see the new one the following weekend or something because I'll be off of school for Thanksgiving!
