Post I need more fantasy books to read.
Hey, I'm looking for suggestions for some fantasy books to read...

What I want in them ^^:
-Romance (clean romance)
-No high-tech stuff (I hate it when they mix technology with stuff like unicorns and dragons x.x Harry Potter is an exception. <3)

Any suggestions? If you want, PM me with the general plot line <3

Thanks!

-Liz

Books I've read:

-Harry Potter
-/Some/ of the Dragonlance books
-Eragon and Eldest (duh)
-The Enchanted Forest Chronicles
-Chronicles of Narnia
-Lord of the Rings

The Cry of the Icemark by Stuart Hill
urm it is a fantasy i think lol its got werewolves, vampires, witches and stuff. Its reli gd theres the sequel called Blade Of Fire.
Heres some stuff i found on the Icemark:

When her father dies in battle, fourteen-year-old Thirrin becomes Queen of the Icemark, a tiny kingdom forever caught between dangerous neighbours.

But she bears a heavy burden. Thirrin must find a way to protect her people from the most terrible invasion her nation has ever known – and do so before the end of the winter snows.

The Cry of the Icemark is the glorious story of how she rallies her country and finds some extraordinary allies: Vampires, Wolf-folk and most noble of all, giant Snow Leopards. But it’s also a heart-felt tale of duty and sacrifice, of unexpected laughter and awful uncertainty, and of a girl whose friendships are forged in the heat of battle.

It is an amazing book!!!!!

any of the books by Ameilia Atwater Rhodes...
may i sugest the Kisha'ra series... Consists of Hawksong, Snakecharm, Falcondance and Wolfcry
the first two are a continued sorta romance, and the third has a romance in it.. and so does the forurth, but not a normal one...

oh and i wouldnt recomend the last two for a young audience, but thats jsut a personally opinion... FD has a scene that points the reader to belive there is a "long night", but they dont acctually say anything... and, WC has a relationship i dont approve of

if you read these and like the books PM me for her website...

Harper Hall Trilogy-

Menolly is a young girl, full of music. Unfortunately for her, Half-Circle Sea Hold is a fiercely traditional hold. Her father, Sea Holder Yanus, believes the craft of Harper is for males only. Her mother, Mavi, believes that everyone should be productive, and Menolly’s music doesn’t fit those qualifications. Her only ally has been Petiron, the Hold’s old Harper, who encouraged Menolly’s composing and playing, even going so far as to send a message to MasterHarper Robinton. But, since Petiron’s passing, she has been forbidden to so much as whistle a bar of one of her tunes. As her loneliness and frustration grows, Menolly finally takes desperate steps.

Independent and quick thinking, Menolly sets out on an adventure that involves discovering fire lizards and surviving Threadfall on her own. Unaware that many people are actively searching for her, her path eventually leads her to Benden Weyr and fulfillment far beyond her dreams. As with McCaffrey’s other Pern novels, many familiar characters reappear, but this time the dragonriders are not the main focus of the story.

ALso try the Dragon Riders of Pern! If you like these, please pm me. ALso, if you like Harry Potter pm me too so we can discuss the 5th movie and last book.

I really liked a book called blue bloods, i don't know if the second ones out, i can't seem to find it any where.
I really liked it, but if your not really into stuff like vampires it isn't for you. Um,*Thinking* What else have I read, um, The SistersGrimm was cool, but it's sorta, um what's the word, i'll go with childish. It's really funny though.
The basic story line is these girlses *Is that a word?* parents got. murdered/kidnapped *not telling which* and the little girls, age 7 0r eight and age 10 or 11, have to go to their grandma's to stay, and they find out alot of stuff i thought was cool, but it is a little childish.
hmmm, I agree that Artimus Fowl is a must read, and so is the Icemark chronicles. um, what else , what else, The Birth of the FireBringer is really cool, it's not really *So far as i've read* romantic to any degree, *so far* well, hope i've been of asistance. *Grin and a not so graceful bow.*

A great book is The Hobbit. Since you've read LotR I recommend that you read the Hobbit. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I suggest the Seventh Tower series. I believe the series goes The Fall, Castle, Aenir, Above the Veil, Into Battle, and The Violet Keystone. These books are awesome.!

the belgariad by david eddings and the mallereon by the same auther but i suggest you read the belgariad first otherwise its confusing

once youve read those, try the background info ones, polgara the sorceress and belgarath the sorcerer, its like a history of the world its based in, except its got heaps of comments from the "authers" (belgarath and polgara) to garion and ce'nedra, who they write it for.
they are all really funny
