i think that they really messed up the razac and arya. the razac are supposed to resemble a bird like thing aren't they? and arya didn't even have pointed ears. what is an elf without pointy ears? what do you think?

They didnt mess up as badly on Arya,but on the Ra'Zac they really messed up

yeah thats what i thought, how can Arya be an elf without elf ears? its there trademark. Also Arya was supose to have black hair but i still think she looks pretty good with blond

I quite liked the way they did it... even if it means they have to change parts of Eldest movie. It was, well, more original, I think.

i havent seen the movie, but i've played the game about halfway through and they really messed up on the ra'zac. they're freaking bird things for crying out loud! and arya IS suposed to have black hair and pointy ears. those movie people are either stupid or didnt read the freaking book!!!
and eragons supposed to have brown hair and i dont remember ever reading anything about an english accent!!!! i swear, some people have no idea what true art like eragon and eldest (the books) are.

They messed up a lot of stuff in the movies x3 But I still liked it.

i mostly hated eragons stupid accent thuogh i loved the graphics and fighting. I really didnt think the movie was that bad.

i always pictured murtagh to be older, and the Ra'zac, well lets face it, the movie is supposed to be the directors ''interpretation'' of the books, but ya, they should have been more ''bird-like''
they should have extended the time of the movie, to like 3 hours, just like lord of the rings, i mean, Brom is supposed to tell Eragon about some names for dragons, and he mentions Saphira, i mean, comon, i always thought that was an important part, all in all, i liked the movie, sure it wasn't exactly like the book, but i mean, if it were exactly like the book then it wouldn't widen or imaginations, now we can let our imaginations wander, about plotlines we didn't think of before, and the movie has opened up a whole new world for the Inheritance Series...

Also Arya is suppost to have black hair. The Razac are not suppost to die also right, plus instead of bugs for skin it was black leather.

About Arya, i think the actress was right, just her appearance wasn't. the hair i can get past, but the ears - man that was a bummer. they say that they were trying to get away from the stereotype but serious elves are fictional characters, its like taking the pointy horn off a unicorn. but anyway arya is also suppose to wear leather pants and shirt - in the movie she wears an off the sleeve top? what the?

i like what she wore in the end except who fights in a skirt? anyway tp clear things up, eragon thought Arya looked like a woman who appear in her early twenties, which is what i thought of Sienna Guillory (Arya) but in mid-twenties. So i think in all she was good, just the way the movie portray her was awful, but that's not her fault.

i think they chose her because:
she can fight and do action scenes - as she was jill valentine in resident evil
she can ride a horse - she was on riders
she is elegant? - she was a model before.

anyway i think she was a good pic, more or less the director and screenplay writer were the bad picks.

lol! the razac looked like drunken rotting mummies! it was hilarious. the whole movie was wrong, my friend came out of the theater like EVERYTHING WAS TERRIBLE! We called our other friend and were like "don't see it, you'll get mad." grrrr sometimes you just wanna kill people! ................ okay i'm done with my lil rantish thing. back to what i was saying, the razac and eragon, and arya, and everything was bad. and murtaugh looked emo.

i listened to the directors commentary and he was making it his own story... he wasnt trying to make real CP's world, he was just basing his own story off it... he did say arya's ears were to get away from the normal view... but if thatas how they are in the book he should have tried ot do it that way... unless she was like deathlly allergic to the stuff they make the fake ears out of they should have done it...
he did the same thing w/the urgls... he said he knew they were not the same as the book but that he wanted to do something "diffrent"... when your direction a movie off someone elses story you try and stick to the book... its the authors world not yours...

CP Shud rly just sue those idiots who made the movie and get Peter Jackson to make it LOL. So... they do the WHOLE eragon movie again, and we have to w8 a yr or 2 for it but who cares. At least we KNOW it'll be better. I mean, look at the movies he has directed, LOTR and King Kong, whatever that is. They're BOTH brilliant.

EDIT: Then we get the whole crew back together =P. Arwen can play Arya. (Black hair!) Viggo can play Eragon, (More expirienced) John to play Orik (He played Gimli)and Orlando to play... Murtagh!! Yeah! hes sooo hot... and it'd fit the story line... i think =X

I'm SO MAD too I can't belive they did that! Arya looks worng acts a little wrong she can't like Eragon at all. The Razacs were all wrong too and and and everyone they all acted wrong also. Hated it. Eldest will be hard to make into a movie because of how much they messed up.

But if you didn't read the book it would be ok. Well I read the book so I hate it.

I think they yes, completely messed up on the ra'zac! THEY LOOK LIKE A MUMMY. I always pictured them as dark figured with hoods! Not people that walk around with worms in their eyes. AND WHAT ABOUT THE BEAKS? These are all MAJOR things they messed up on. Let's face it. There is no hope for Eldest to be saved after they ruined Eragon like that.

what about the urgals???!!!??? they looked like guys with war paint on that grunted a lot. I always pictured them as big grey guys with horns and tusks idky with the tusks. There're weren't even dwarves whats up with that!!!!!???

They messed up a lot of things on there. Isn't Saphira supposed to have spikes all the way down her neck? I pictured Brom to have long gray hair, Murtagh to have longer hair, as in Brisingr, "long dark hair...", or something to that effect. Eragon is just right though. Saphira looks different than the cover of the book. I also pictured the Ra'zac to look like a giant crow.
Arya looks nothing like they descibed in the book. (It goes into great detail as Eragon is looking her over in Ellesmera.) And when Murtagh says, "She's off to Ellemere," shouldn't it have benn "she's off to Ellemera?" Arya should have pointed ears, dark hair. Hello?! Didn't the producers read the books?!?!?!?!?!?!?

its obvious the directer, producer, or anybody working on that movie didn't read the book. I'm convinced they only read the back of the book and asked CP for premission to use the story.

i also remembered that the armor that Saphira actually wears, yes, I know she's digitally animated, is different than the one that Eragon and Arya look at just before the battle. Around the nostrils there should be armor but there isn't on the armor Saphira wears. It just makes me mad.

Yeah, it would be long, but maybe they could add THE MOST IMPORTANT PARTS!!! I still do get how these ignorant fools can leave out thw Twins searching Eragon's head. I mean, it is mentioned throughout the Trilogy, so far. I'm not completly done with Brisingr but it has been mentioned 'cause I'm on pg. 632 where Glaedr is talking about the dragons' Eldunari. They also left out where Eragon hears in his mind, Oromis or the Cripple Who Is Whole. I reallydon't get it!!!!!!

acctually there is a delelted scene of the Twins reading his mind and eragon blessing Elva why they took them I don't know.

How did you come to find that out? I ahve looked at the Special Features on DVD and all that is on there is the dierctor's commentary.

If you have the special edition then on disc 2 they have interveiws with CP about Eldest, how they made the special effects, and deleted sences.

Man!! I have the normal version. It's the only one I've seen in stores!!!! I can't believe they got CP to interview on that movie with ignorant directors!!!!! It surprises me that he didn't try to correct them or stop them from making the movie if it's based off of his book.

well he was maybe 19 20 when they asked him and he just thought "cool my book is going to be a movie!" but they gave him no creative control.

Oh. Well, that explains it. Most young people, including me, would love to be in a movie or some sort. If he was as old as he is now, who knows what he would have done!

well I actually thank the director for making that horrible movie because if he didn't I wouldn't have read the cycle to see why people kept saying the movie was so bad and if I didn't read the books then I wouldn't be here today

Same for me. If I hadn't bought the movie because I had liked it when I first saw it, I never would have started the Cycle. THe movie is great despite the mistakes.

I can makje a list of the amount of mistakes in the movie but we have to take into account the difficulty in portraying any book to film ideas, it is hard but they could have done a lot better.

they forgot alot more than jsut aryas pionted ears in the book if arya was thier when brom got hurt she could have healed him with magic, and he wouldnt have died also urgals have horns and thier almost 7feet tall and kull are from 8 to 9 feet tall , eragon didnt have blue eyes and blonde hair he had brown eyes and brown hair and they completely ruined his gedway ignesia, its not shiny at all and they killed teh ra zac but the razac dont die until the third book and also the razac didnt capture katrina like hes supposed to .
