First olive was used by louis when he edited people's posts... and when I was made a mod I started using the same color to edit posts... hehe.. I thought it was a 'default' but it's not, lol.. Btw what about this color?? it called "pink"

Actually, the numbers and letters that seem very random indeed, allows you to define exactly what shade of a color you want. The actual names of the colours allow you to do that to a certain extent as well. But the numbers allow you to go further. So if you wanted a certain shade of say, "pink" then you could look up the code for that shade and you would gain that shade of pink that you want.

(P.S: I learnt that when I was learning HTML. )

Actually it is not the forums bg colour has you can still see the letters if you look closesly, it's just the gray colour

you're right!! When I removed my anti-radiation filter from my monitor,, it does look a tiny-little-bit-slightly-subtle-different-gradation from the bg color.
