im thinking its between GMC sierra, and maybe the cadillac we narrowed it down to these two after doing some more research!! the only thing i dont like about the caddy is that it is all wheel drive i dont want that i want a 4 wheel drive!! but the caddy is in second place for sure

I'd probably go for a Ford Escape Hybrid now that they've made them look sexy. (Black or white with chrome accents).

Well the choice I would go with is not in this list. One of the best car for the dunes is the Pajero. It used to be the nissan patrol, but since they changed it a couple of years ago it was never the same again.

Dragon-freak... its a caddy all the way! Cadillac's all the way ^.^. Its not the car I'd go for... but its pretty sweet.

Hummer H3 - overpriced and under featured(for the price compared to other suv's of its class like Landrover lr7 or even H2). Low gas mileage (18-22mpg).
GMC Sierra - basically a sexier looking chevy 1500 with nearly identical features. 26mpg v6
Chevy Silverrado 1500 - the cheapest of them all, ties with GMC for lowest cost of ownership (identical parts). They don't get good gas mileage; however you can get 26mpg with the no frills v6 model.
Cadillac - has the best features per price ratio, best looks, alot of features. Also the biggest chick magnet. Expensive and low gas mileage (16-28mpg depending on model and how you drive).

I'd want a caddy, but being broke and all I'd get the chevy or gmc (if I limited myself to your options).

I click on hummer but my favorite car is a corvette C6

i still think that its between the cadilliac and GMC 1500 i still want to drvie them both just to see what they both are like but ive drove chevy 1500 i still want to drive GMC 1500 ive never driven a car that was all wheel drive so that will be the deciding factor!!

and about deciding it helps to have some friends advice on what everyone thinks looks better!! and just for the record im a 100% chevy girl so i wont buy anything else unless its a old muscle car like a mustang or something like that!!!

I live in the rural Midsouthern US, Arkansas to be exact. Its far more common to see pickup trucks than cars. Even the nice little old lady that works at the library drives one.

I didn't get my drivers license until I was 18 (long painful story there, it then took me 6 attempts to pass it). I needed it so I could get shipped off to AIT to be a truck driver for the army .
I didn't get a car until I was already 22, right after coming home from Iraq.
I got a few credit cards while in Iraq and made the mistake of using them to pay car payments and buy gas because I didn't have a job.
My first vehicle was a 96 Jeep Cherokee with enough mileage on it to go to the moon. It started falling apart and I got tired of replacing parts so I gave up on it.
Then I walked to the bank, got a 3000$ loan using my GI Bill as my primary source of income, walked across town on foot carrying 30 100$ bills and bought a 2001 f150 with 96k miles. It had been a work truck on some farm, it was full of dust and I threw away several .22 bullets that were laying in the floor. They were probably going to clean it but I really wanted some wheels so I just came and took it. It was a pretty nice truck, it was dirty but it had been well taken care of (aside from the dent in the bottom of the passenger door). I never had to fix it and it would always run.
It was sad 3 years later when I had to sell it for 1000$ to pay off my other college to transfer to this college. My brother was going to help me out but he decided to go to the casino instead.
And so far it doesn't look like I'll have a set of wheels until I graduate and get a job.

I2av well at least ur truck didnt give u any problems thats awesome!! cuz my car i have now gets me around just fine but im one of those people that like flashy things i am materialistic if u were wondering!! (to a certain point i dont over do it i CAN and DO go without things i want/need a lot) i fiqured i worked my butt off to get through college and graduate with my associates in nursing at such a young age i think that i deserve it!!

I don't have a car, I have computers instead. The nice thing about that is that if you want to repair it you don't need such a big space and most of the pieces can be lifted out without using special assistance. I think I am working has much on these machines as a guy would do on fixing is car

edit: No I think we have the versa, I am really sure of it. What is it with these companies that give there car similar name then you get all confuse when you try to look for it.

I walk to school every day, it's like 8 minutes away and it would take longer with the car to pass all the traffic lights.

There is one type of car that I hate the most it's the british cars. They are fine when it comes to everything except the mechanics. We heard and we lived ourselves the experience of having to replace almost every mechanical part of a british made car going from the motor head, transmission, radiator, ... , electric window motor, horn. You get the idea...

You could buy a really big house with that, too.
And as far as scratches and dents, people who own Ferrari's defiantly don't drive them to work- they usually don't drive them more than one day a week. People who own Ferrari's usually don't drive anyways, they have chauffeurs and limos to get around in :0.

i just got a 2001 Honda CRV... 83K miles on it...
we love hondas in my family... they are easy to fix when they have something go wrong every million and a half miles... and they run FOREVER... however if its not a honda its gotta be a Chevy... well GM actually... GMC Chevy ect... basically not a Ford!!! we have never ever ever had good experiene with them...

I couldnt pick any of those cuz when Im older I want a ford 4-wheel drive truck.

lol alfakyn yeah my dad, step-dad, and both of their dads all worked at GM so that is prolly why i love GM so much and if it wasnt for GM and my step-dad working for them then i prolly wouldnt have been as fortunate as i am!!! plus my unlce is a avid car collector and i asked him what kind of truck is best and he said chevy (as he was drving a ford)
