 I don't know what she means either... hmm.... Yeah, I doubt that's the cover we're getting. Maybe they'll just remove "The Legend of Aang" and put "The Last Airbender", but they probably won't. Aren't they going to make the characters in their chibi forms for the DS version? I bet you are actually... It's fine. Maybe Arya can get it, since she doesn't have a DS game. It's funny how the DS and Wii versions have the two Aangs in the exact same position. Well, I have 14 questions fully completed, meaning I made up the question and have chosen all 4 answer choices I wanted to provide.  @Alpha: I've never even seen the pilot. Is it on the Season 1 Volume 1 DVD? Trust me, if you had candy during the finale, you would have been hyper. It was definitely those sour patch that got me. Lol maybe you're just lacking inspiration since nothing's going on right now that's Avatar-related. Maybe Aang's quiz or Arya's video will help. I was trying to watch The Pilot one time, and the only I found was with Mike and Bryan's commentary in the background, which was really annoying. I had to ask people on Water-bender in the Chat just to find where it was. In the end I decided it was useless. The episode was terrible, anyway lol.

Re: avatar rocks I added some to my drawing today... i decided to change it around a bit so i have the Dragon ( Saphira i guess if i named her) and then I added in a guy ( again probably Eragon) and Saphira is laying in a grassy meadow with Eragon laying against her side while there both staring at the night sky. Im actually really happy with my work on this one

Re: avatar rocks Movies aren't until 2010.... i don't think were gunna see many updates at all until next year sometime.... prolly around July since that will be 1 year from the movies estimated release date.... any1 else skeptical on how the movie is gunna turn out though? I mean yea it could be an awesome movie, all the potential is there, but M. Night is the director, and from some of that directors other movies, i wasn't crazy about.... i dunno maybe its just me.... maybe M. Night could actually pull it off good.

@elve King: I suppose we could wait that long. I mean, we've already been going on without updates since the end of July, so it'll be okay. I have confidence in M. Night Shyamalan. We own the DVD's, so there was this one interview where they were talking about the live-action movies. M. Night was saying how much his whole family loved the show and how he was very excited the make the movie. I think that's enough to make at least a decent movie. So I have faith in this guy. _________________

Re: avatar rocks You haven't heard about the movies? Hmm... well anyway, in 2010 a movie director named M. Night Shyamalan will be creating 3 live-action movies of Avatar, one for each season. The reason why we're having unsure thoughts about the movies is because it's going to be hard to re-create the characters and add in all those special effects for the bending. So what do you think about the movies?

I meant the golden time was during this summer, the days leading up to the finale and during the week of July 14th and everyone posting like crazy everyday and all of our stupid but memorable jokes. That was the golden time of this topic, not 2 years ago when people just posted about random crap. |

I think it would be way cooler, especially after the closure they had in the finale. Lots of stuff explained, huh? Loose ends tied together, if you will. Maybe I'm just feeling nostalgic, I don't know. In any case, I miss those days....erm, so I'll start...
So I was remembering some of the great scenes from throughout the show, and I was wondering what you guys think the most powerful scene is, in your opinion. Not the fighting parts, no, I mean the powerful, emotional scenes. Which is your favorite? And what makes it more touching than the others? There's plenty of them, from flashbacks in The Storm to simple scenes with the Gaang that show their undying friendship.... One guy said this on a forum I was reading through: Dutch wrote: The last part of Iroh's story in "Tales of Ba Sing Se" celebrating the birthday of his son Lu Ten, it's the combination of the music and Mako's admirable voice acting performance. The song itself is simple but he puts such emotion into the lyrics he transforms it into something so much more. The final scene on top of the hill with it's warm colors breathes so much atmosphere and I love as the final cord is struck the picture becomes a still in honor of Mako, don't think there could have been a more suiting goodbye to this amazing voice actor. This scene always makes me fall silent for a while. I'm totally agreeing with him. If that isn't my favorite scene, it's definitely up there. The atmosphere, the colors, the simple music...it was perfect. I don't know how many of you will agree with this guy, but I see what he means and where he's coming from with this. I wish I knew what scene to post...uhm... well, there's obviously CoTL. It was so cute, with Aang acting like a clueless boy and Katara getting all worked up when they both know what they wanted to do... lol. |

Lol too bad Appa was there... Well, let's see... There was the scene with Zuko and Iroh (I can't think of anything right now.) It was so a well built-up and when Zuko started crying through the other eye, that had to symbolize some strong emotion. And Dante Basco did some nice voice acting there too. _________________

another thing i really like wasnt quite one scene and i dont know the name od the episodes...but it was when Zuko his sister, and his isters friends o and his girlfriend were all staying in the cabin/palace thing. u learned alot about Zuko and his girlfriend and tht was where i really decided to start to draw Zuko. the other scene i really like is in the finale of course (besides the kiss) was when Zuko jumped in front of Katara. tht scene left me speechless for a while..it kinda of represents how much he was willing to give up for his friends. and i always poses the question in my mind..do i have tht strong of a friendship with any of my friends? not tht im saying id ever have to jump in front of a firebender lol |

Re: avatar rocks Yeah, though Yue did what was best for the NWT and Sokka still got Suki in the end. I don't think he forgot Yue though. Remember in the Puppetmaster, "The Moon Spirit is a kind and gentle lady, she rules in the sky with lunar goodness" or something along those lines.
Speaking of which, The Siege of the North episodes were really good, I thought. The part where they're going to rescue Aang and Katara senses his spirit in the sky was pretty cool, another Kataang connection lol. |

Re: avatar rocks True, it definitely displayed a whole new level of Waterbending that Katara was capable of reaching. Sometimes I forget how powerful and skilled the Gaang is. Zuko is one of the greatest Firebenders in the world, not to mention the Fire Lord, Katara is a master Waterbender, Toph is the greatest Earthbender in the world (she said do herself in The Guru), Sokka is like an amazing swordsman/warrior, and Aang is, well, the Avatar!
I still think that Toph, Sokka, and Suki should have been a bit more involved in the finale. I know taking down all those Fire Nation airships was a humongous task, but it still felt as though they weren't part of the epic fight going on. _________________

I just feel they should have been "more in on the action". And that would have been an excellent twist, if Katara used Bloodbending on Azula. I remember in TSR, when Zuko saw her using it on the Sea Ravens member that she thought was her mother's murderer. His eyes widened to show he was surprised, but they never showed Zuko asking Katara about it at all. That was one thing I was expecting to see, but they never ended up showing it. Anyway, Katara only resorted to Bloodbending in TSR because she was feeling extreme anger and misery at the time. Maybe this proves that she doesn't care for Zuko as much (take that, Zutara fans!). I bet if Aang had been shot by lightning by Azula in an agni kai, Katara would've Bloodbended her. _________________

Re: avatar rocks yea i really wish they would have thrown it in there but you right it might have supported the Zutara thing. she wouldve had to have gotten extremely angry because didnt she make a vow/promise to never use it again? the avatar wouldve been like the only thing to get her so angry enough she wouldve bloodbended. although it was disappointing to never see that twist thrown in there.

Re: avatar rocks Actually, I don't think she would've been able to bloodbend anyway on her. It wasn't a full-moon that day, which is the only time you can extract enough energy to use it. In fact, it was the day of Sozin's Comet, giving much power to the firebenders; waterbenders wouldn't be all that strong then at all. Though if she was able to bloodbend, she might have used it on Azula to save her own life too.

You're completely right. Katara definitely would've Bloodbended Azula if she was attacking Aang and it was a full moon though. I can imagine in my mind how the CoD would've turned out if Katara had known about the ability to Bloodbend and it was a full moon... Man, they would have won that fight! But still, now that it's already happened, I wouldn't want anything to change from how it turned out. The finale was much more than I expected, so it's impossible to ask for anything better._________________

Re: avatar rocks I know what you mean. But keep in mind that although Avatar may seem like a mature and mostly serious show, it's meant for kids, which is why it's on Nick. They wouldn't allow any deaths in a show for kids. Still, I thought Zuko, Sokka, Toph, and Suki were going to die while watching the finale, which created much more suspense.
