Who do you think Eragon will fall in love with? I think it is Arya because her dragon will mate with Saphira and that will change Arya's feelings for Eragon. (I think she will be the next Rider. Eragon will not like Trianna. a) He's not entirely attracted to her and b) Saphira in all her wisdom will not let him go after her if he was attracted. I think Eragon will fall in love with nobody; he has Saphira .

so what if he has saphira he still wants to have a relationship he said so when he tried to get with trianna even if thats not a great example

u make a good point in that he did want 2 start a relationship. hence, that is one of saphira's weak points. it seems to me that she is jealous and wishes 2 keep Eragon to herself. that is why eragon will not fall in love; saphira won't let him.

I think Saphira was just jeolous(sp?) at first. You know with Trianna and then in the beginning with Arya, but she likes Arya now and she hasn't complained about his feelings for Arya so far. I think she just didn't trust Trianna and then in the beginning with Arya she just hadn't gotten the chance to get to know her. Saphira can clearly see and feel how much he cares for Arya and she wouldn't stop them from being together.

I don't get you! A Rider's relationship with their dragon is much different than a Rider's relationship with a woman he loves. Why would Saphira not let him fall in love? What would the point of that be? No dragon has ever done that before except for the cruelest dragons (we all know that Saphira isn't cruel).

exactly. the only reason she wouldnt let eragon go out with trianna is cuz she didnt trust her. after all, riders and their dragons share their minds. and if eragon was to get serious with trianna saphira would be stuck with her as well.

Angela said there would b an epic romance, but she didn't know if it would b good or bad. That doesn't neccessarily mean Eragon will marry Arya. also, Saphira still doesn't trust Trianna. they haven't met since that first episode. Saphira is certainly not cruel, but she will not let Eragon follow someone until a) she knows the feeling of love herself or b) he meets someone she knows will prove to be Eragon's perfect mate. and i doubt the latter will happen for a long time, not until Saphira is old and wise enough. and even if, there is no guarantee Eragon will meet anyone. Angela said he will depart Alagaesia, never to return. so for all we know, Eragon will not even meet a woman.

i-luv-saphira ur missing the point. dont you get he has to fall in love with arya? ur saying he wont even fall in love with anybody, when angela said he was with a beatiful woman (which arya obviously is). i agree with princessArya she secretly loves him. i also think she's sort of been revealing a little without noticing throughout the books.

arya does kinda like eragon. i mean he did save her life and all.

I completely agree with you on this. (Great minds think alike! ) They MUST end up together. His feelings are extremely obvious, and I also think that Arya may be hiding the way she really feels about him for whatever reason. I think she'll show true feelings. *sigh* I can't wait to find out.

but the age difference is too immense. Arya knows that Eragon is destined for someone else, if he is destined for anybody. aye, Saphira may allow him to pursue a woman since she herself has felt the feeling during her tuition with Glaedr, but Arya and Eragon r not meant to b together, and Arya knows that. They will b good friends, nothing more.

Wow. After ive seen that i definitely reckon Arya = the new Rider. But she might not.

He saved her in Gilead when she was with Durza. If he hadn't saved her she would have been taken to galbatorix and she said herself that she was really weak. I don't think she would have survived. But yeah she's hiding her feelings and a ton of us will be happy when we find out how much she's holding back in book 3.

well why would being a dragon rider help?

because she will be forced closer to him, and their dragons liking each other might help a bit. It's complicated.

That is a sign that she loves him but she is repressing her feelings. She's an elf, so she needs outside help (i.e. a dragon).

yeah. that's the point. If she isn't a rider, she doesn't have to be with him. remember how she just left? and how she avoided him? she could just do that again if she feels stress.

they have to fight together, train together, and be in the same city together, at the very least.

oh, yeah, seperate. that's a great idea. that will only split the time he has left directly in half. perfect. She still needs to learn how to be a rider. It's quite different than just being a spellweaver. it needs quite a bit more training. the most efficient way to save time would be to? you guessed it. TRAIN TOGETHER. Thank you very much. take math into an example of age:ok so lets say elves live to be 1000 yrs old
and humans live to 100 yrs old(im just ballparking it here) now lets say there was a 10 yr old human and a 100 yr old elf...now mathmatically theyre the same age,cuz theyre both 1/10 of their total lifespan*tell me if u understand or not*

however lets say that human grows 2 16...that elf will only be 106...now the human is "160" yrs old in "elf years" so after a while the human ends up over taking the elf by a long shot!

ok in eragons case,we have a 17 yr old man and a 100? yr old elf...ok hes 170 BUT hes a rider so he lives as long as ur average elf...so idk if i should start him as 17 or 170? ne suggestions?

no they arent immortal....look at oromis...suffering no PHYSICAL injury hes way too old to do nething...they grow old just as humans do but they take MUCH longer to die of old age,liek oromis

yeah just a theory...i meant it in fractions btw...like if a human was 10,a tenth of their life is gone,and if an elf was 100,1 tenth of tis life would be over
