so has anyone heard any news about the four book publish date? Brisingr's been out for over a year now, I think, has there been anything official said yet?

a lot of the last book has been writen but since the third book was going to be too big if he put brisingr as the last book so he split them. anyway i heard that it was going to be publisbed next agust

Just to point out the obvious, they're also the reanimated dead and the people in the book are most definitely alive.

I think it's quite likely that what he writes after this series might be much better in fact. The Inheritance cycle has gotten steadily better in writing quality. But yeah, ruben-elda has a point; this isn't a classic piece of literature like LOTR or Narnia. It just isn't. But could he do something on that level in older years? Why not?

I don't know about that, but they do have a thing where the community asks him (filtered) questions every once in a while. And Mike (the founder) or someone has interviewed him before. That sort of thing, as I understand.

As you well know, the rules are not enforced so to the letter that every off topic post is a cause for reprimands, being that we're all humans. There is some leeway in the matter, as you well know, and have used yourself in the past. Everyone has.
