will more shades be included in the third book?

Regardless of that, there must be other Shades on the continent, but if CP will bring them into the story is another matter.

What if Galbatorix has a whole private squad of Shades, say like 5, as persoal guards for himself or the 3rd egg?

what if the spirits possess Arya and Eragon has to somehow find Broms spirit and somehow ask him how to reverse the curse.

but what if brom is in the voult of souls to give eragon a new sword and gives him a new power to reverse spells and stuff.with that power he'll reverse murtags spell and that one girls spell.(mabye arya's if that is true.)

hmm I doubt that those things would occur... the spirits will only possess a person if that person gives permission for them to enter, or attempts to call or manipulate spirits - and Arya would never do that, let alone submit to their taking over her.

Eragon, with his current knowledge, already can reverse spells set in the ancient language to a fair extent. It would not make sense for Eragon to receive a gift that would give him full access to something so accomplished already. The possibility is there but I think Paolini would have something else in mind

maybe eragon becomes a shade because at the end of eragon when he kills him there is the mental conection with durza maybe that could still be within eragon. Also he saw those spirits fly away. Perhaps finding a new host!

maybe powerful spirits guard the 3rd egg, and if u come too close, they possess u and kill u from the inside

Shades are, in my opinion, one of the most interesting species in the series. They bring up so many questions, and would have to have a book in themselves to explain all the complications of being possessed.

I dont think CP has that in mind lol thats more of an undead thing and remeber kids like 8-10 read this to and the movies will come out evetualy and i dont think it would be fair if they were G at the beggining and R at the end that just makes the story sound like a dawn of the dead thing lol

gore is fun. as long as not to much gore. no gore, boring. to much gore? you find your lunch on the floor. i like it in between. and its the parents choice if they let them see a movie full of gore.

But if you were to young, you couldn't see it in a cinema, where movies are always best! Big & loud!

if there is a new shade, it would have to be someone already introduced to the story who already has a strong talent in magic. If there already was a shade, everyone would know about him now. talk of Durza spread from carvahall to farthen dur within a few months. maybe someone evil teaches the leader of Du Vrangr Gata evil shade stuff...

Well durza was meant to be under galby's control, but in eragon, when he was captured at Gil'ead, Durza asks him if he would prefer to serve galby (a rider who betrayed your own kind or something) or him (a "fellow man"). So Durza just wanted to control eragon by himself.

if there are more shades then i think they might be more powerful then Durza, really powerful. because now Eragon would have no problem whipping a shade butt if its only as (or less) powerful as Durza. they have to be lots stronger if Eragon really have to fight them, or he could play with them!

maybe there is remeber that in the book one when eragon,saphira were talking to ajihad they were reading who the commanders were. one of the others might have been a shade.

Well obviously, we've only seen ONE shade! I don't think spirits are sexist, they just want a body to control. I still think that even if they aren't mentioned, women and men shades exist within and outside the empire, fullfilling different roles.

Once you become a shade, it can't be reversed unless you are killed, so it is highly unlikely that eragon will become a shade. To be a shade, you use spirits, eragon doesn't do magic with spirits, remember? And I don't know why everyone thinks Roran is so great. Eragon would have been easily defeated by Durza if Arya and Saphira weren't there to distract him, and eragon had defeated a master swordsman (Brom)! How do you expect Roran to kill a shade?!

The twins weren't really difficult. He only needed to sneak up and crack one on the head. If he tried that with a shade, Roran would be dead before he knew what was happening.

Roran thinks strenght is the way to win a fight and the shade could say risa and leave roran upside down til he passes out then kill him
