Possible Book 4-Shruikan is the main threat?

I know it would be formulatic, but in Star Wars Episode VI we're introduced to the man working the strings behind everything we know...the Emperor. Now, what if Galbatorix is not the master but the Master Apprentice and Shruikan is the Dragon Emperor, ruling from behind the scenes, waiting to reveal himself only when the time is right? What if, from the beginning, when he was young he had a dark young mind and initially saw promise in the young Galbatorix from the start from his very egg? A power thirsty young dragon scheming and waiting to throw the world into darkness when the time is right! When Galbatorix comes across his egg, it's he that corrupts Galbatorix!...he that promises Galbatorix power and a bright future for all under HIS vision. So a deal is struck... If Galbatorix can bring Shruikan massive amounts of Eldunari, he will give Galbatorix what he needs to create his "vision" of the future. So, Galbatorix along with his Forsworn incites the "Rider War" wiping out nearly all the Riders and Dragons, taking their Eldunari. Shruikan has what he needs...with the Riders out of the way, there's no one in Alagaesia to stand up to him and his pawn. Now, he seeks Saphira as his life queen...and he will do anything to break her will. Thus, the need to bring both Eragon and Saphira back alive. Galbatorix thinks he's making the next line of Riders...all he's doing is giving Shruikan a future army in which to conquer not only Alagaesia but the world. It would be awesome to have a dragon villian in this book series. Saphira_bjartskular New DragonRider Joined: June 3rd, 2010, 3:03 pm Posts: 389 Gender: Girl Affiliation: Skulblakans	Re: Possible Book 4-Shruikan is the main threat? i am not so sure but i think u have a good point... no one ever thought of Shruikan being more than a dragon that was stolen from his rider then forced to serve Galbatorix.... though i think it happened that at first he was not evil then when he was taken from his original rider, he discovered that he had evil inside him and started being evil himself, then he overpowered Galby and kept him under his control instead of the other way around... does that make sense at all???

We already know that Shruikan was an innocent dragon. The dragons and dragon riders back them knew he was. He was not evil. He was forced against his will to force Galbatorix. Also, like ruben said, he was left out of the spell that made everyone not remember the forsworn dragons' names. We know that he isn't insane. If he was, if he was evil then they would have included him in the spell but they didn't.
