My favorite charactor is Saphira, she is really cool.

i don't have my eragon book w/ me rite now cuz i'm lending it 2 amy so i can't do a direct quote from the book but @ the begining of the book where brom & eragon just start their journey together eragon had a dream it wuz like there is ship by the sea and there is a group of fair people with silver and gold and yea colored hair getting on the boat but 2 ppl stan out of the crowd and one wuz defanately a women and then every1 got on the boat except 4 1 person who wuz crying on the pebble beach but b4 he woke up he saw 2 dragons flying above the boat

lol when i first eragon i skimed through the first couple chapters just 2 see wutit wuz about and so i kinda just glanced @ each page & the first time that i saw broms name i thought it sed broom lol

Thats tough. Brom or Angela(sp?). Brom is the wise man of the book, i always like those charectors. And angela just how she is, in the 2ed book she got me to like her even more. Her weapon i found very cool.

I think Eragon, Arya, Saphira, and Angela are equally my favorite characters for various reasons..

The fact that Angela was based lightly on Chris’s sister kinda made me laugh and examine her personality driven into the text a little bit more. The whole exert from the book on if toads are all really frogs...made me laugh.

Eragon of course is one of my favorite characters because throughout the book the reader gets to learn from his mistakes and learn wisdom from his experiences that of various times can be applied even to our lives. although Paolini says in many interviews that he didn't base Eragon off his own thoughts so that the reader could draw his own conclusions, I found it hard to believe because how can a person write something so deep and with so much incite without it being from his base own understanding and the wisdom quotes from the characters from his own life lessons that he wants to share through his Day dreams.... (Just something I recommend to ponder as you re-read his wonderful timeless master piece more deeply the second time. It may make you take more out of what Paolini wrote in his books that you skipped over the first time reading so fast just to find out what happened next.)

Saphira I found very special because of her bond with Eragon is so unique. It opened many doors for my mind to ponder as Paolini said the heart of the books is between Eragon and the unique special relationship with his dragon Saphira.

Arya has to be among my favorites because of the mystery she brought to the table. She was one of the only characters I had a hard time understanding how her personality ran her thoughts. I think this was because I could not relate to her actions which made for great romantic scenes between both Eragon and Arya and her actions towards that matter.

Really Brom should be on this list, but its late and im getting tired *sigh* and you asked for a favorite character and I gave you four and explained my reasoning lol. What can I say the character development is so well done and thick with emotions that I couldn't just put one.

Yeah! i was wondering the same thing. When I was reading the book i was wondering if her voce would be soft because it is in here head, but on the cd's her voice sounds gruff....its rather odd...
