OOC: This is a little after my RP the Great Advance, many of the islands off of Alagaesia's cost have fallen and now Demondred is invading the empire's western borders.

IC: "Air units advance! Bring their fortress city to the ground!" Demondred ordered from Argos' back. The fools at the port city called Teirm didn't have a clue of what was coming. Sure, their city was meant for war, but it seemed these fools were prepared for pirate raids, not a full blown siege, especially from a massive navy and air force. Several of the taller buildings had been claimed by archers which leapt of the back of dragons to reach them. Watching over the fighting Demondred smirked, the fool king called Galbatorix's soldiers were not match to his own. On the streets women and children and men who weren't soldier's ran around screaming for their lives as buildings burned all around them with only the sounds of swords, catapult fire, and dragons to great their shouts of terror.
Leaping off Argos Demondred entered the fray himself, ordering Argos to aid the dragons though almost all the ships in Teirm were either burned or captured the dragons still had much to do since the city resistance was still high.
Jetting out his hand, several arrows halted just inches from his face. Using the words of power, Demondred made the tower the archers were on shake and tremble at its very foundations. Though it didn't collapse, several of the men fell to the ground from the tremors and dragons aided to their terror, eventually he allowed the tower to crumble to the ground with the men inside.
"Kill all who stand in our way!" he ordered, using magic to amplify his voice. Both the port and skies were his, now he just had to wrestle control of the city, glancing around at the carnage, he knew that wouldn't be much longer.\\

From a safe distance, Equinox watched the fighting at Teirm. When he had only heard it he thought it was the Varden attacking, but was given a great shock to see it was Demondred. How did he land here so easily? Glancing above the city and in the waters off it, he of course knew teh anser. No army of Galbatorix could stand up to that. Galbatorix didn't have many dragons to face off the mass above the city. And being a single dragon, Equinox wasn't stupid enough to think he could fend them all of and make Demondred retreat. What even made it worse was whom he should help. Galbatorix was evil, but so was Demondred. Puzzling this over, Equinox watched as smoke and flames rose from the once proud city. In the air snapped Galbaotirx's banner, Equinox knew it couldn't stay flapping in the wind for much longer.

Equinox watched as a few of Galbatorix's dragons flew into the fray, he sighed and watched, they were so outnumbered, he wondered why they even fought. The fool archers weren't even targeting a single dragon! They were just firing at random intervolves. After observing for a few minutes he snarled to himself leaping into the air. Galbatorix was his enemy, but he couldn't let Demondred get a foothold on Alagaesia's mainland. At once he leapt into the air shouting, Archers! Congregate in one main area away from enemy ground forces! Have groups target dragons, aim for the wings and armpits! he roared, leaping into the air. Summoning an electric shield around himself Equinox headed for the port, throwing himself against one ship shockwaves rippled through it as it went into flames from the lighting. As it crashed into the sea he rose back up shaking from the impact, he wouldn't be able to do that many times, but at least one of the war vessel were gone.
Soldier's of the empire! Defend your city! he roared out. He glanced around, he doubted they would win this, but maybe he could get as many soldier's out of here alive.

Up in the sky Demondred watched as the dragons and flyig shape-shifters fought the few dragons Galbatorix had in Teirm. The green one seemed oddly familiar, he shook his head, know, it couldn't be. Besides it was only a dragon, they looked mostly the same to him. As more ships reached the port and shore soldiers stormed onto the sand, Teirm would be overran, he'd make sure of it.

Equinox circled around the city, watching as several groups of soldiers fought each other on different parts of the city. If they didn't act soon, all of Galbaotrix's soldier's in Teirm would be either killed or captured. Opining his mind, he sent contact to all of Galbatorix's soldiers, Fall back to the northern entrance of the city! Make a stand there. Magic users protect the archers as they run. Destroy any catapults or other seine engines so the enemy won't take them! Flying through the air, Equinox saw a black dragon with several battle scars on him. Though he didn't know the dragon, he recognized it from descriptions he's head of one that had served Galbatorix. To the dragon he said, Fall back with the two legs, we can't drive them off. I'm not actually with the empire, but Galbatorix would even be a better ruler than these invaders. Head to the north entrance. We're going to be starting a retreat.

Demondred glanced over as an elf appeared in front of him. With a snarl he pulled out his sword, "Do you really wish to fight me elf? This city is lost, leave now or die, this city is lost." he snarled.

OOC: Can I join, this is too perfect for Sarah and Arcus.

IC:
Sarah gasped as she saw the column of smoke rising above the trees. She was returning home to Terim to rest for a few days before she returned to help the Varden and elves against the Empire. She immediately went into action. She called to Arucs who was hiding nearby, always concealed, yet always near his rider. The multicolored dragon burst from the thick foliage of the mountains and bounded toward his rider. Sarah leapt upon the young dragon's back and the two of them shot toward the city. They payed no heed to safety, all they knew was that something was horribly wrong.

When the two of them arrived at the city, they saw many dragons fighting, as well as hundreds of men fighting against Galbatorix's soldiers. She also saw some man who seemed to exude power. She glared at the man who seemed to be ordering the invading people. She did not like the fact that Galbatorix controled Terim, but the way the invading soldiers were killing the civilians, she sided with Galbatorix's men. Sarah nocked an arrow to her bow and sent the ironwood projectile through the neck of one of the invaders. She angrily retrieved the arrow with magic and began to shoot at will.

OOC: It okay if i join? Caete may enjoy this.

Caete had been in the northern edge of Teirm, buying supplies in a small shop near a homing sector of the city. He heard the attack before he saw it. He could feel an ominous and disturbingly evil aura moving toward the city and immediately he jumped into the sky to see. He saw dragons with archers on their backs and also many naval units starting to lay seige to the towers. Already he saw them take some of the taller towers as buildings began to burn. He flew down landing running, "Blanc, get ready! We're going to run some of these children and women to the edge of the town!" Immediately he grabbed a child and his mother and sister, placing them on Blanc.

The townspeople had gotten to know the two as they'd stayed in the city, resting and mingling with the citizenry. They began loading up more children on Blanc, whom took off running for the edge of the city. Caete himself grabbed a few children in his arms, flying to the edge of the city. He dodged arrows and cast a barrier around himself and Blanc and the passengers they held. As soon as they reached the edge they continued on to outside of its limits letting them get off. "Please run to the nearest town. Warn all of them. If you can send reinforcements. We're going to fight. Even the king is better than this evil." The citizens nodded, wishing them luck. With that both Blanc and Caete took off again, going as fast as they could. Blanc reached the city faster and began taking out foot soldiers, grasping them with his giant maws and snapping their necks.

Caete flew to the sky, fighting off dragons using Heaven's Wrath. He spun the double-handled halberd in his hands and swung in arcs. He met with a dingy yellow dragon snarling at him, headed for his face. He ducked and ran the blade of Heaven's Wrath right along its underbelly. He floated around to the side and kicked it on the top of its back using a concussion to knock it down. He landed down on its back and ended its life with a quick slice to the bottom of its spine, severing its spinal cord.

He faced another direction and began the process over and over with many dragons and even some willful archers who jumped on his back and wings, attempting to cut him down. Each time he would flip and hit them with his blade. One dragon that stood out to him was a shade of red that resembled mahongany, it came at him and seemed to shimmer in the air, being in one place at one moment and then transporting to another at the last moment. He'd had to use his Sight, seeing into the creatures mind he determined where he would move.

He slipped his blade to his left after a particularly hard hit from the dragons tail and sliced the creature along its belly. He flipped in the air to its other side and delivered a swift concussion kick to its neck, snapping it.

Soon after that dragon he flew down to check on Blanc. The huge white cat had managed to leave a trail of destruction as was defending a brick building that contained children and women. He healed the few wounds on his dear companion and set to healing the few soldiers that helped his friend protect the people. He continued to heal the wounded until he spotted a wave of enemies rushing at him from the right, he spun and used Lysis, sending a wave of destruction. He had to work fast, so he he used an Alacrity Rite to increase his speed.

Equinox shot lighting down at enemy soldier's as they clashed with those trying to protect civilians or headed for the northern gate. Snarling he dove into large mash of both enemy and empire soldiers. Descending behind the enemy soldiers he blasted a few with lighting or bathed them with fire, Get to the north gate, Teirm is lost. he said and soared into the air. As he flew to the gate he gave a back wing in surprise and stared as a large white cat and what seemed to be an angel defended an area with civilians. The dragon he spoke with earlier was there as well. Equinox landed in front of the civilians and put a lighting shield around all of them, Come with me to the north gate, this won't last too long especially since I’m protein more than just myself with it. We need to hurry before they start to fire dragon harpoons into the city if they haven't already.

Demondred watched the elf for a moment after it spoke, not sure if he should trust it. As Dedread said he thought himself a shade not an elf Demondred knew the answer now since he wasn't a true elf and it seemed he could transform as well. Finally he replied, "I accept you're help then. I know only some of Alagaesia, only the islands of the west which most of which are mine now along with the southern tip of Surda. I am Demondred, emperor of Ardonia.

OOC: Yeah, you guys can join

Equinox watched as the scarred black dragon flew off with a load of civilians. Glancing to the angel he said, I'll take as many as we can, I doubt we'll be able to evacuate the whole city, but get as many as you can. Crouching down he waited until he was loaded down with humans, a few even hung from his legs. Snapping his wings he leapt into the air doing a few powerful beats to stay in flight. As he flew towards the north gate he noticed a multi colored dragon and its rider. He was about to tell them to heard for the gate, but saw they were already heading there. Soaring over the buildings, he put an electric shield around himself to protect both himself and those clinging onto him from arrows and magic. Once he reached the north gate he released it. Landing behind the soldiers he let the two legs off him. Not much longer until we retreat. Keep up the pressure until then!

"Kill or capture any soldier in the city. As for the angel, kill it if you can." he replied. Glancing over he saw the angel along with a few others start to retreat towards the north exit. Demondred smirked, they were doomed, all of them were some time or another, for this land would be his to rule.

Sarah and Arcus flew after the others hoping that they would be seen.

OOC: Pass. Kinda being ignored....

As the soldiers and civilians piled around him Equinox shook his head at the scarred dragon, No, we don't want to waste any more soldiers. Demondred has a massive army, not just air force. Shape shifters and humans, not all off his soldiers have even landed, there are still ships coming. At once he opened his mind to everyone so they could here, Retreat north when I'm done talking. We will go to Nanda, a city that borders the Spine for those of you who don't know. My allies won't be that far away so I'll call them to protect us in case the enemy follows. I dout they will though. When we go, I want the civilians a head of the soldiers. Dragons fly in the air above the retreat and magic users until we get away from the city keep a shield around the dragons to protect us from arrows.
Seeing a multi colored dragon and its rider headed towards them Equinox said to them, You two seem to be the most experienced dragon here. True, Equinox thought he might actually be, but he didn't want to sound arrogant, You don't seem to be part of the empire though I'm helping htem I'm not sure if I can trust them. While we're on retreat would you help me keep an eye on the soldiers?

Demondred watched as Dedread attacked the angel and the retreating soldiers. Normally he would have his own follow them, but he had to make sure he had a strong foot hold in Alagaesia. To Dadread he said, "Let them go for now, we can finish them off whenever we want. We need to first secure our own hold on this city.

Naixul dipped his head to the green, accepting his words. It made sense now that he thought of it. Of course. He listened carefully to the plan, and nodded when the green finished. The black-scarred-white backed away from the main group, spreading his wings in preparation for flight, to fly above the retreat.

Equinox nodded to the multi colored dragon and glanced around at the others. Flying to the front of the crowd he glanced back at them to wait for any straglers. At once he resumed his position to protect the retreat. Opining his mind he said, We leave now, don't worry about the enemy behind us, keeping going north. They won't attack. He was going to say they wanted to assert their control over the city, but didn't think that would be good for already damages morals. Waiting for the first people to go, he stayed in his position and looked back as he flew. Opining his mind to the empire soldier leading the retreat he asked, What's your name and rank?
"Shawn Darensson, I'm a general in Galbatorix's army."
Good, since I'm in the back I want you to lead us to our first resting point. I assume you know how to set up camp?
Darensson nodded and Equinox glanced around at those with him. Trying to shake the idea away he just imagining them as a marching army. He had never led a retreat before, at least to his magnitude, and he had never assumed command. Even for the Resistance Quasar was the leader before she died. Still, he did what he had to do to keep the survivors safe.

"Good, now, help me round up the captured or injured soldiers. Get them into one pile in the center of the city. I already have my own soldiers doing this as well. Once they were in the center, make the civilians come to the center as well." he said to Dedread. Once he was done speaking with him he said to his leading officers, "Help get the civilians her as well. Have them around the center and armed soldiers making sure they can't escape. Make the dragons fly around the perimeter of the city. Once enemy soldiers are in the center, hang them all."
"Yes emperor."
Demondred gave a dark laugh as his orders were being fulfilled, above him the dragons soared around Teirm, making sure no more entered of left other than the group of fools who fled north. It wasn't long until a few injured soldiers were dragged into the center, at once Demondred ordered them hung, and used magic to amplify their screams.

Equinox glanced back towards the other dragons and the angel and large cat. They seemed to be more experienced than many of the soldiers, though the empire's soldiers had a fare share of veterans here. He looked down at the two leggs. Most simply walked with their head down, little conversation came from them, though weeping did come from the children, some of the women, and even some of the men. They knew the war with the Varden, but they never expected this, to be invaded and conquered by an unknown force from across the sea. Equinox thought for a moment Caete. What would they do? He could simply return to the Resistance, Galbatorix was his enemy, why should he care what happened to his land? But still, there were innocent people here, and he was determined to protect them. I'm Equinox, nice to meet you. Once we arrive at Nanda I'm going to get some of my allies to help defend the city from Demondred's eventual attack. My allies are strong and used to fighting in larger battles. I just hope it will be enough. as he thought of it, he wasn't even sure if Demondred would move north or south. Part of him hoped the south, but the other part hoped the north to try and stop his conquest. To them all he said I just hope we can trap him in Terim. I won't lie to any, Demondred is powerful, don't fool yourself saying he's weak. He has thousands upon thousands of soldiers. His dragons are trained just for war, they believe dragons should be enslaved. Demondred thinks they are just savage animals. At least as far as I know, his army has never lost a war. A battle yes, but never a war. They call themselves and Ever Victorious Army. Just because he hasn't lost a war though, doesn't mean he can't, but the odds aren't in our facor. He's unified a whole continue. His army is at least ten times the size of the Empire and Varden combined. Equinox knew it wasn't uplifting, but he thought they should know what they were up against.

As the soldiers screamed and eventually lay silent, simply hanging in the center of the city, Demondred blasted them all with fire, so their corpses would burn until they and wooden poles they were hung on were dust. Using magic to amplify his voice he shouted with power, "That is what you get for defying me! You are in my land now! If any of you dare to even think of rebellion, this will be your fate! Still, you are all humans or possibly shape-shifters, and for that you will be treated like equals as if you were proper Ardonian citizens. War will come to your land, but I wish not to kill all of you. If you obey my words and sever me loyalty, you will be rewarded with riches beyond your imagination. But if you deicded to rebel and fight back. This will happen to you!" he dragged up the only remaining living soldiers. Using magic he raised the man into the air so the civilians would see. Using magic he slowly tore the wailing man apart limb from limb. Once done he said to his soldiers and those who fought along side him, "We have come, we have seen, now it is time to conquer! We've took one of their cities, my Ever Victorious Army, we will see victory over this land! We will united it as a colony of Ardonia! We will see victory! We will see the elves dead! We will see the dragons in their proper place! Now, feast, for we have won here, this city is ours!" his army erupted into applause.

Caete fluttered his wings to get closer to Naixul, "Of course I'll heal you." he gently placed his hand on the gash and whispered several words int the angelic language to help fix the wound. "Don't hesitate to ask anything of me, I'm here to help." he gave a smile to the black-scarred dragon, patting the side of his cheek and floating back toward the green dragon, Equinox. "Nanda? Alright. I suppose that I'll stick around. If Demondred defeats us and the Empire, then the elves are surely next, and I cannot allow that."

Caete quietly assessed the soldiers. Try looked a sad, discouraged group and he was sure it would only get worse for them from run on. "Even though they are the kings men, I cannot help but feel sad for yum and with them." he glanced back up to tue sky.

Naixul dipped his head in thanks, slightly surprised. That I won't, Sir, and thank you. he murmured to the angel. The black-scarred-white also looked up at the green, Equinox. He tilted his head to the side as he spoke of this Demondred enslaving dragons. He frowned. He was a servant himself, and he was pleased to serve others to the best of his ability. He supposed for those involved in the slavery it was normal, but from the outside it might seem unfair. He kept silent on these thoughts, however. it was not his place to voice them.

Equinox nodded, They will be, he hates elves. You may even want to warn the queen now. He thinks elves are inferior, in his home land he went on a genocide against them and killed every last one. I'd like to saw DuWeldenvarden could stand up against him, but who knows what the elves land was like in Ardonia before his take over? Leaving contact he reached out his mind to the Resistance, Eris, bring soldiers and your Alfin to Nanda. Demondred has invaded Alageasia. I'll explain later.
Great... another mad man to fight against. Crimson here, Galbatorix there, and now Demondred. Ah, what a life ah? I'll be there shortly. Equinox sighed and opened his mind to the soldiers around him, most were surprised, shocked, fearful, depressed, and worried. He could understand, these forces had crushed Teirm, something the Varden likely only dreamt of. To Naixul he said, Can you contact Galbatorix? Ask him to send soldiers to Nanda.

Demondred thought of what Dedread said. The north or south, both were intriguing possibilities. Still, he didn't want to split up his army yet. Though tens of thousands of soldiers had yet to land on Alagaesia's soil, he wanted to have a straight route until he was stopped. The dragons had already landed around the city in patrol. Argos himself was still at Demondred's side as always. The dragon watched him eagerly like a dog its master. "Don't worry Argos, you will soon have the opportunity to kill and captured the rouge dragons."
Argos nodded happily. Demondred shook his head dumb brutes. "I say we go north first. It would be better to get a solid hold in the occupied parts of Galbatorix's empire than to try and force our way through the stronger areas."

Caete nodded, pushing his wings out ward, letting a few feathers fall from them. Soon after they fell a large raven flew from under him, "Hello, little flightling. Can you carry a message for me?" He waited for the approval from the tentative little mind, "Okay, can you fly to Du Weldenvarden and tell the Queen that there is a mad man attacking Alagaesia. His name is Demondread. Tell her that we'll be in Nanda. If she can reach me there, then that would be wonderful." The little raven nodded its head and cawed before diving down toward Du Weldenvarden's direction.

"That will at least give them warning." He scratched his head and said, "She'll definitely send help for us." He allowed his wings to drift downward and aloft as he listened to Equinox.

Equinox watched as the raven flew off toward the forest. The elves would send aid, he knew that, but he wondered how well they'd be able to stand up against Demondred's army. At least it would be help. As he glanced at the soldiers around him he hoped they'd be able to revive their morales. Or at the very least not try and fight the elves. Opining his mind to the soldiers he said, Elves will likely be joining us in a matter of days. They are your allies in these coming battles. Do not attack them. Though the soldiers didn't reply he had the feeling they understood his words.
To Caete he replied, I'm glad to hear that, we'll need all the help we can get. I do wonder though how the elves will react to see dragons flying against them though. His voice trailed off at the end.
Equinox's eyes filled u with pity and sorrow at Naixul as he spoke, Why are you banished? After a pause he said, I would like you to try, but if you would rather not it is fine.

"Oh, don't worry, tens of thousands of soldiers are still on their way. It will be the largest invasion force this land will ever see. As for the elves to the north?" he gave a dark grin, "Once I take Alagasia's northern territories I'll will attack those savages. None will be allowed to live, not man, woman, or child. You may help if you wish. I want to do as much damage to them as possible."

"Oh, don't worry, tens of thousands of soldiers are still on their way. It will be the largest invasion force this land will ever see. As for the elves to the north?" he gave a dark grin, "Once I take Alagasia's northern territories I'll will attack those savages. None will be allowed to live, not man, woman, or child. You may help if you wish. I want to do as much damage to them as possible."

Dedread chuckled, and then laughed, in anticipation. He had not been this happy in a long time. He was finally going to conquer Alagaesia, and the Elves would be slaughtered. Once his laughing had ceased, he asked, "When shall we move to the north? Or shall we wait for your soldiers first?"

OOC: Sorry, short.

Caete thought for a moment, "Its not as if they've forgotten how to fight and kill dragons, because there are many books that go into great deal about their race." He shrugged his shoulders, "Hence how I learned to deal with them so well." He smiled, thinking back on his aerial training with Glaedr and Oromis as well.

He looked at Naixul, "For some reason I dont think Galbatorix will mind you visiting if his entire throne is at stake." He patted the great black dragon on the neck, scratching the scales, "Though, I could always go with you to help." He smiled at the dragon and gave him another good scratch.

OOC: Bleh short...

[Equinox nodded to Caete as he spoke, true, the elves still likely knew how to fight dragons, but it would be terrifying he supposed to see hundreds and hundreds of dragons soaring straight at you. I can only hope they will be prepared enough. The elves are stronger than the empire, but I never would have guessed Teirm would have fallen as fast as it did, even with dragons attacking from the air. He listened as Caete and Naixul spoke. Equinox didn't interject, but simply nodded in agreement. That would be our best hope of getting his help. Equinox thought of asking Crimson, but his pride would not allow. No, though they had a temper truce, Equinox knew that at the slightest chance Crimson would pierce his heart with his sword. It wasn't long until they saw Nanda in the distance. Though not that large of a city, it oddly gleamed, as if it knew it stood in the way of a full scaled invasion of the land.
Is there a capital of a soldier of any high rank in the city? Equinox asked.
"General Bryson may be there. It's his home city, he was injured during the Varden's attack so he returned home to recover." a soldier piped up.
Good, then when we arrive, if he's in good enough health, I want you to speak of him and tell him of the predicament. He's to help me defend the city. Equinox suggested.
"Yes... sir?" the man said. Equinox could understand the doubt on his face. It must be hard to accept command from someone who was once your enemy.

"We start our advance tomorrow. Right now I want to get this city under a full occupation force. Teirm will be the capital of my over sea empire. Since you are so eager about fighting the elves, you may command the amy I'll send into the forest. But as of now, you will help he march north." Demondred said. Soon after Argos landed. "What do you want?"
Master, there are a few villages nearby, may we raid them and steal their food and add them to your glorious empire?
Demondred laughed at the dragon's eagerness. Patting him on the side he said, "Blood thirsty and savage like all dragons. You and a few others may, but most of you need to stay for the attack."
Yes master. Argos replied meekly and flew off.
Back to Dedread he said, "Tell me, do you have any soldiers or know anyone who'd aid us? This Varden I heard about, are they manipulative enough to have them fight the empire so we can ultimately destroy them?

Caete nodded to Naxiul, "Of course my friend, if it will save time then we should do it." He gently climbed on the dragons back and scratched his neck, "I think i'll ride. Its been a long time since I haven't had to fly." He chuckled and tightened his knees around the dragons sides and scratched a little more, "You should stop calling me 'sir', it makes me feel old." He laughed and imagined others calling him that.

Naixul dipped his head, crouching so Caete didn't have to climb quite so far. He glanced back as the angel told him he should stop calling him 'sir. If that is what you wish...Caete. he said hesitantly. He closed his eyes to concentrate, and abruptly he felt a cold sensation slide over his scales. He shivered. Hang on. he said, then bolted toward Uru'baen. It took a good thirty minutes for them to arrive, but it was better than two or three hours of hard flying. He searched carefully for the right shadow, occasionally popping his head out to look around. Finally he found the throne room. He came out of the shadow, his body trembling. He tried to stay silent, but unfortunately Shruikan was in the throne room as well, and alerted Galbatorix. "Guards!" roared the king. Naixul bowed deeply, his neck bent and his muzzle brushing the floor, wings widespread. Please, Greatest Sire, hear me! he cried desperately, cringing into the stone. Teirm has been taken by Outlanders; please, Greatest Sire, they require assistance! If it is your wish, kill me, but I beg of you, listen to Sir Caete if you do!

@Angel&Darkie: You can control Galbatorix if you want, either of you. My brain is fried at the moment. Just know that Galby pretty much treats Naixul like an over-sized dog, and is pretty nasty to him as well.

OOC: Angel, you can control him then if you want.

Demondred smile as Dedread said the dragons were proud, "Than I will crush their pride. They will learn to serve me as dogs, or die like dogs." As he mentioned the Varden Demondred thought of what it could mean. They were against the empire. He smirked, he loved manipulation, "Contact them if you can. I will speak to their leader about this. They will submit to me as well. This whole land will."

As they landed Equinox at once ordered the soldiers to their posts. The city would have to be under millitary watch for now. Once he was sure General Byrse was able to lead he had him be in command of the Imperial soldiers. Opining his mind he reached out to the Resistance. Using the electric impulses he reached Aaron's mind. Aaron, Demondred as invaded the empire. Teirm has fallen. Lead a part of the Resistance's army to Nanda.
I'll be there. Hold on to Nanda for me. Aaron replied.

Dedread grinned. With just a little manipulation of the Varden members and demonstration of Demondread's powerful army, the Varden will have no choice but to join the winning side. Of course, they could act like the senseless fools they are and still fight, but that was what intimidation was for. Through what Dedread saw at the fight at Teirm, the shapeshifters could match or even exceed the Elves with their skills.

"I shall contact immediately by scrying," Dedread said before walking a small distance outside of the city. He found a broad rock in the distance, and brought it back to the city. Through a wordless spell, countless minuscle droplets of water filtered up through the soil and coalesced into flawless silver tubes that arched over the edge of the rock and down into the hollow. Soon, the liquid stilled, and acted like a mirror. Dedread's image hung over the liquid mirror, and he said, "Draumr Kopa," followed by many other words that would let him not only scry someone, but speak with them as well.

The inside of Nasuada's tent visualized onto the screen, and Nasuada could be seen at her working desk, working furiously on stacks of paperwork. "You! Human!" Dedread snarled, and Nasuada nearly jumped out of her seat, her hand reaching for her hidden dagger. "Who are you and what do you want?" Nasuada snapped, her hand hanging over a part of her dress where Dedread could assume her dagger lay.

"I am here to carry a message, and feed you hungry dogs information. Teirm has fallen, but not by your Varden, but by an army that exceeds the Empire in many things," Dedread said, and repeated it in the Ancient Language, the language of no lies. You were already fighting for a lost cause before, but now, there is very little, if any hope of you succeeding. Need I ask you or say more? You have to side with Demondread, the leader of this army. We are fighting the Empire, and we are obviously on the winning side. If you join us, we could slay Galbatorix and issue in an era of peace and prosperity. That is your only choice. You would be a valuable ally to Demondread, and we wish to recruit the Varden with as little bloodshed as possible, hopefully none.

"Now, as I said, I am here to carry the message. I shall call Demondread now, and you may speak with him. A leader speaking to a leader, but there are vast differences between you two, don't get me wrong," Dedread said, before beckoning Demondread over.

Nasuada's mouth hung open, aghast. What the hell was going on?

Nasuada flinched when the man known as Demondred finished. He was brutally direct, and she had no doubt that she probably would meet her deathbed if she didn't join him. "The Elves? Vile creatures?" she asked as though she were new to all of this. Of course, she had never really liked the Elves in the first place, but she wouldn't think of them as vile. Nasuada massaged her temples in an attempt to relieve her stress. At the mention of another army, the Varden would fall into disarray. If they were against that army as well as the Empire, that disarray would be irreparable. Fortunately, she was the only one in her tent, but she couldn't bear the hopeless, defeated look that would set itself on the members of the Varden when they learned of this new threat. So, she would do everything in her power to make that threat an ally. "Yes, I shall join you Demondred. Just allow me time to gather my thoughts. We shall have a formal meeting later, as you say," she said before cutting off the connection.

"You work fast," Dedread said to Demondred, amused.

Equinox smiled when he saw Naixul, and Caete come back unharmed. I'm glad you both made it out. Good, I had my doubts about his aid, but I'm just glad he has agreed to help us. It was still oddly hard to believe, that he was accepting help from one of his enemies. Oddly enough, it didn't disturb him as much as accepting Crimson's help. Maybe it was because Galbatorix never troughed him and tried to kill him on countless occasions. You look tired Naixul, get some rest if you want. I don't want anyone being worn out. To Caete he asked, How well did it go?

Demondred gave a bitter laugh, "I am skilled with manipulation, that coupled with Compulsion makes it easy to get others to do what I want. Not to mention in this land, no one knows of it and thus will find it hard to fight it."

IC: "That is very useful. I am somewhat skilled in Manipulation as well, but I haven't coupled that skill with magic before," Dedread admitted. "It seems like a very useful tool."

The water around the rock went into disarray as Dedread let go of the magic, the water streaming off the bottom of the rock. "Is there anything else I should do?" Dedread asked.

OOC: Bleh, short.

Well that's good, Equinox replied and curled up into a ball. With a glance south toward Teirm he said I just hope its enough to stop his advance.


"For now I just want the city undercontrol. Round up any strong looking man who can help out in re building Teirm and making it a true city. This will be the capital of my Alagaesian territory."

Caete moved to lean against Naixul's side, slipping down into a seated position, coughing gently. "Dont you worry, you'll remain my equal." He patted the dragons shoulder again, and smiled, glad he had met them, and that they were allies.
