Bridie and Ryu flew overhead, she flew directly over Surda, it was broad daylight and Bridie wasnt afraid to be seen! 'I'm not going to ask what you are doing, or why you made me fly over here, I trust you, but please, be carful!' said Ryu. Bridie laughed and smiled at the people below, not hiding her face! "FREEDOM!" screamed Bridie, the people below in Surda cheered and laughed at Bridie for she was a new rider!

Syrianna had sensed the birth of a new rider a while ago. He hadn't had time until now to check it out. He quickly located the source of this new ,but somewhat untrained power, and flew directly to it. He soon found out that it was in or near Surda. As he approached the city he saw the young dragon rider.

Sytheras these younglings will be easy to catch. Sytheras always like a game.
Be assured i will not fail said Sytheras all the while grinning and baring his teeth.

Syrianna was right and they caught the younglings easily. " Halt. Land outside of the city i need to tell you something."
The two dragons slowed their speed until the stopped outside of the city. They landed and dismounted.

"My name is Syrianna and this is my dragon Sytheras." Sytheras was easily 4 times the size of the other dragon and out matched it in any way. This was due to the great power he had received from the great Eragon and his silver dragon.

Ryu sneered at this bigger dragon, most dragons werent as big as him, but he was outmatched! "My name is Bridie, this is Ryu, who's side are you on?" asked Bridie. Bridie, who had been trained with a former rider, she was a fine swords woman and wasnt afriad to fight, her skills clearly outmatched anyone who had fought her, she was the best she had encountered, and Bridieh had encountered lots! Urgals and even Shade! 'I dont trust them!' hissed Ryu, 'lets see what they want first!' thought Bridie

" We seek revenge against the person you call king Galbatorix. We want revenge for all the pain he has inflicted on us and all others who love this world. Whos side are you on anyway. Oh and by the way my dragon will not hurt you but if you try to attack us in anyway we will defeat you with ease. Do not try it!"
Syrianna muttered some words and a small stream flowed out of no where. The drank then Syrianna walked off into the forest.
When they returned Syrianna was walking with a massive log on his shoulder making it look wieghtless. He dropped it and the ground shook. A moment later Sytheras emerged from the forest carrying a large amount of wood with him. The Silver dragon dropped the mass of logs and then, what seemed like it, sneezed on the pile of logs it burst into flames and they sat on the log that Syrianna had brought.

"I am on no ones side but my own, no man is my king! I have no intention to kill you..." sighed Bridie. Ryu rested by the fire, he only just learnt to breath fire and envied the other dragon... 'they seem trust worthy!' thought Bridie... Bridie yawned, "why did you bring me out of the sky?" she asked, "you could of talked to me up there..."

"You have already been seen however i want to remain unknown. I want to have the element of surprise against Galabtorix and being seen by all these would demolish this." Syrianna was siting next to the fire for a while before he spoke again. " You also have more importance in this world. I need to pass on the ancient knowledge that i posess. If you wish i could teach you. If not you may join me in killing Galabatorix"

"If you teach me, I will assist you in killing Galabatorix! I dont know if you know this, but I was trained by a former rider, he wouldnt tell me his real name, but I am now the finest swords woman around, not meaning to be vain but, I cant help the truth!" Bridie laughed and drew Ei'e, her Kanata in the swiftest movement she could! Ryu snorted, he didnt want a fight! "I have defeated so may Urglas and a few Kull!" laughed Bridie, 'dont worry Ryu, no trouble will come of this!'

Syrianna unsheathed and drew his sword, g'atord, at lightening speed. "Be warned i was trained by the greatest dragon riders ever. My two masters were Eragon and Vrael. I will win" Syrianna slashed his sword out at lighteneing speed and Bridie parried it. The two dueled for a while. But who would amerge victorious. " You fight well for one so young" mentioned Syrianna while he effortlasly block Bridies attacks.

Bridie smirked, she wasnt exactly trying, Bridie swerved and lunged her sword directly into Syrianna's stomach, it made some impact but did not split the skin fr the edges had been dulled... Ryu laughed, he knew who Bridie had been trained by all along, he two was Eragon, but he wouldnt give Bridie his name, a while after that, Bridie had fought Murtagh in battle and won, but didnt kill him... Bridie wasnt beat easily!

The swords crashed violently. " It seems i have underestimated you child," said Syrianna "But you have yet to see my power."
Syrianna started to slash faster than the eye could see. Birdie couldnt see were he was goind to strike next. Syrianna struck the last blow on Bridie's sword and it flew out of her hand. "It seems i have one little one. You fought well. But you will ne far greater power than that. I mearly showed you a slight insight into my power."

Bridie smiled and turned around like she was walking back, but then she whizzed around and shouted fire in her eyes, she shouted something in the acient language and the floor under Syrianna's feet burst, he went flying back and Bridie laughed, she had this thing about having to win, she would kill before she was beat!

Syrianna quickly span back out of the dirt. He wispered something under his breath. Bridie flew into the air imobalised." I knew that you were going to do that.But dont try it again, you will just get hurt in the end. I could crush you right now and you couldn't stop me. Rule 1 of your training : Never try to win against someone stronger than you. I out match you in everyway possible. We will fight again later but we will only use magic when i say okay?"
Syrianna sat on a nearby branch and started to sing. All of a sudden a flowing branch erupted from the woods. On it were fruits and vegetables. Syrianna ate quietly and watch Bridie intently.

Bridie sighed, she closed her eyes and fell to the floor, a spell like that really wasnt going to stop her... "Fine, then, why dont you train me?" asked Bridie...

"I will but not here. Not so close to all these people. We need somewhere undisturbed. Then i will train you. We will also train as we travel. But these things take time. You must be patient."

Syrianna carried on about the importance of the teachings and of Bridie. Finally he said "We may leave now if you wish. We will go any direction which suits you. As for your training we will start with sword fighting, then progress into magic and finally into the two combined. That earlier scrap was just to give me a knowledge of your strength. I know that you are already powerful but I can teach you a lot more"

The two mounted there dragons. " I must now see the true power of your dragon." The dragons flew into the air. Syrianna gave Bridie and Ryu a few manouveres to complete which they did. Then they raced. Ryu was quite a formidable opponent as was his rider. Finally came the test of fire. Sytheras breathed fire onto a rock before him and it melted at once into molten rock. Then Ryu had a chance. His power was impressive and he started to melt the rock around the edges after a few minutes. But alas he couldn't keep it up for long. About 10 minutes was his limit.

Ryu you are as powerful as your rider. You should be proud. Maybe one day you will be as strong as others said Syrianna to Ryu.
Sytheras they are formidable opponants but we have much to teach them Said Syrianna to Sytheras.
I agree Syrianna. We do have much to teach them I feel great power within them. But I fear the overestimate themselves he replied.

Bridie was a little out of breath when she compleated the course. Ryu was on the verge of falling asleep... 'They are tough, I hope we cant get good enough one day to beat them, or atleast match them!' thought Bridie, Ryu agreed and began flying, "we should go away from the empire!" said Bridie exited, Ryu wasnt though!

"If you wish to go away from the Empire then I suggest we go to Du weldenvarden. None of my kin remane there and I want to go there for old times sake. Do you agree or shall we go somewhere else?"
