this may sound strange considiring this is a book fan forum, but i really hate reading, i listened to eragon and eldest on an audio book. i've never read harry potter 4, 5, or, 6 or lotr.

That was a bit mean, i_love_arya. I love reading myself and don't understand how anyone couldn't. But I'm also very hyper. To me a good story is one that can distract me from my hyperness. lol Eragon and Eldest did that.

I know many wonderful people who don't like reading, though. Don't be too hard on them.

that was relly mean dude. i dont get how people dont like reading eather, but you dont have to tell him he has to DIE... but hey, have you tried reading along with the tapes, that really helps my sis and shes not big on reading either...

I like reading, but only certain books. I can't do with all that romance rubbish. I like stuff like Dean Koontz.

erm... I would say more thriller than horror. Some are horror actually, he does a lot of genres.

I do think it is bad... it is good only for young children, who can't read themselves. It is too easy, you know, just sitting and listening - it needs no energy for you and it don't make you better. Unlike reading.

But anyway I understand that people don't like reading... it is their choice, which must be respected and telling them they should die is a bit childish. But for me reading is the greatest gift in this world you can have....

I listen to tapes tho aswell,mostly Hp and princess diaries becoz wen i do my homework or doin somefin random i cnt read and book and i dnt like working in sclience. i luv reading also lol and it is the greatest gift u can hav coz u use it in everyday life for almost everything.

theres a series, rangers apprentice, that the auther wrote to encourage someone to read, maybe you could try those.

my mum nearly banned me from taking books out of my bedroom because i took them nearly everwhere.

I can understand not liking to read, I hated it 3 years ago. But now I cant live with out book.

I listened to LoTR on tape. I can understand not liking to read, I go through phases where I love then hate to read...I have 2,392 books in my house!!

I'm a christian to but my dad read part of the first one to see if it was appropriate and so now I can read them.
