Look, they are both canon pairings in reality, but Kataang, in comparison to Zutara, is a crack pairing. Kataang's argument is all from one aspect, Aang's love, but Zutara's argument actually has substance, such as foreshadowing up the wazu. What it lacks in screen time is made up by the cruddyness of the "evidence" Kataang has. Metaphorically, Kataang has more guns, but Zutara has a thicker, stronger hull.

Aang (the dude), she is definitely not confused. That is not a confused face. The FIRST one was confusion/shock. The second one is something more complicated (i.e. she is thinking something). It doesn't take THAT much of a plot twist. Look at how fast Katara trusted Jet again: just a little bit of "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!" and then the human lie detector and he's back in her good faiths again.

yeah, but jet hasn't been trying to hunt aang for like, the entire story. and he's not a powerful firenation bender, son of the firelord himself. while i think zuko'll be trusted, them (him and katara) actually getting together is VERY unlikely.

we don't know that. there is the possibility that the crystals lit up BEFORE they kissed, and anyways, Katara didn't even care. It was a crazy idea for a crazy circumstance. Katara's heart wasn't really in it. You saw Aang hesitate afterwards. "So...um..." "Let's go!" Said katara, not even noticing what Aang said. ALL she cared about was getting out after the supposed "kiss". That SHOULD tell you something.

Sorry, but I do feel that I have to say Kataang has more evidence to support it. IMNC, you have a good point, but this is what I think.

not true. Not every episode has something with either of them doing something to seem like they have feelings more than just being friends. And the vast majority that do are only Aang crushing on Katara. There are VERY few instances of them doing ANYTHING together more than being friends. The few instances are in awkward circumstances or just Aang being forward.

Look, there isn't much evidence from the shows because there is ABSOLUTELY NO SCREEN TIME!!! They've only been together on less-than-inimical terms for ONE episode and they didn't even get much time in that one. That's all going to change next episode, so we'll just see how they are when they get more intimate. There IS plenty of foreshadowing though. You have to agree that Avatar is Taoist, right? Yin and Yang live in harmony: they can not live without each other (symbolized for the white dot in the Yin side and the black dot in the Yang (referring to the Taijitu, aka the "Yinyang")). Yin is associated with water and earth, while Yang is associated with fire and wind. Water and FIRE attract. Same with Air and EARTH. Even in the SHOW, it is said that Water is the opposite of FIRE and Air the opposite of EARTH. Who do we know who is of the water tribe and someone of the opposite gender who is of the fire nation of the same age group: Katara and Zuko. Who do we know who is of the Earth Kingdom and of the Air Nomads of the same age group? Aang and Toph (not really shipping it, but I just wanted to put that out there). This show is all about the nations being brought back together in harmony. If each nation matches up, yin and yang, that would fit perfectly into the Taoistic nature of the show.

Could you please embellish your arguments more and filter out the cruddy stuff like bad evidence, unsupported opinions and things you just shout without sources? That would be nice. Your arguments (and I'm talking to all of you, although Arya is the best, and I can understand that since she IS the oldest) are just like this: Shout an opinion. But what about thing shouted out without sourcing?! Bad evidence, and unsupported opinion, and irrelevant fact that has no actual meaning in the long run.

I am NOT making up random stuff. All of my stuff is well based and actually, the majority of it is debasing YOUR arguments, so stop complaining. Evidence CAN include foreshadowing, information from writers, motifs, themes, etc. Don't tell me to change my position without it. That, and don't get cocky and overconfident. Wouldn't you have thought that if she was in love with him, she would have at least kept his gaze? She could have frowned and kept his gaze. Then it would easily be interpreted as her freaking out about him kissing her, but she DID avert her gaze. People avert their gaze when they are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. If, as you (all) say, she loves him and has loved him for a while, then she wouldn't be that uncomfortable with the situation. It might still be a shock and maybe even a bit awkward, but she wouldn't have averted her gaze because of that. That and she isn't the kind of person who would just let him go without saying something if she loved him. She would have raised up and hand and said "wait!", but all she did was look up at where he had gone with a very uncomfortable look on her face.

Remember, we don't have to see them pair up. We could easily never see that and just get an epilogue section of the last chapter, in which they could be paired up. We don't know how we will see this occur, so the time constraints matter little.

as for the caps, he's right: it does look like your yelling. early on, i did that, purely out of laziness, and was told the same thing. obviously, i stopped. now, caps are either yelling or just for emphasis, etc.
