He is Regulus A. (maybe Alphard after his uncle) Black. Sirius said that he was a death eater butwas killed. ANd Remus said that he betrayed Voldemort and was killed shortly after. He betrayed them by killing on of his horcruxs. I wonder if he;s really dead or pulled a Sirius on us and was able to escape the death eaters like sirius escaped from Askaban. (must run in the family.)

the note reads "I know i will be dead long before you read this."(Rowling 609) so pretty much he is dead mudered or not.

It never said how he betrayed him it only said "He was killed not long after he betrayed him" or something of that nature. so he may have killed the horcrux then been killed, but my bet was this whole dissapearing when they need to runs in the family and he pulled a Sirius. Yeah, its a family trait, No one ever escaped Azkaban, Sirius did, no one ever betrayed Voldy and lived, Maybe Regulus did

Hey everyone, remember the locket that Harry and his friends found when cleaning Sirius' house. R.A.B could have taken Sirius along to have him take the potion thing, then they hid it at the Black house. No one could open the locket at his house, so it has to be one of the last horcruxs. Voldemort could've found out that Regulus took the locket, and so he killed him.

I don't think Dumbledore is dead. Here's why:

Snape supposedly killed Dumbledore with Avada Kedavra, the killing curse. It specifically says both that they lock gaze and that Dumbledore's eyes are "peacefully closed" when he dies. First, their locked eyes. Both Snape and Dumbledore can read minds. Secondly, when the Avada Kedavra curse is done on someone, THEIR EYES ARE OPEN WHEN THEY DIE. Dumbledore's eyes were closed!
