They all died out. I dont think they are that important, ecept for creating the ancient language.

i have been wondering the same thing tuckerr... but u never know maybe they just left and went over the sea to taht far off continent and may turn up in "Empire".... its a theory.. u never know

maybe tehy just wear grey all the times or maybe they are wolves but they are strong and have the intelligence of elf or human.

Hey, ever notice how CP is American? That means if he wanted the grey folk to have anything to do with colours, he would have written it as gray because that is the American spelling of the colour grey.

that. or there has been a small remote village somewhere in alagaesia and thhey have been hiding out there. and they hear of a army(the varden's possibly) marching to Uru'baen and they decide to come and help... then eragon meets them.

could it be the grey folk that r hiding in the spine and they r the ones who made half of golbys army disapear?

they faded away. they died off from the spell or intermarried with other races and then no more grey folk

i agree, when a fire burns down, at first it has might, the might to destroy homes, (and burn flesh) but after a while of no new wood it weakens (the grey folk weakended) and go out
