Personally i think that Eragon will win Arya. I think that she will be the rider of the Green Dragon and because of this she will fall deeply in love with Eragon (due to Saphira and the Green Dragon mating) I reali hope they do Eragon deserves her and i think she deserves him and his love.

I think that the dragon mating will have a large effect on the way Eragon and Arya feel about each other, it was said in the book that if a dragon loves a dragon the riders will feel something for each other, e.g. 2 male riders would be reali reali gd m8z, a male and a female would fall in love etc.... thinks thats wot it says but i could be wrong.

it might boost it along, but I don't think that CP would do that. it DOES kinda ruin any true feelings they would have for each other.

the most she has for him is undescovered love. she said she does not love him, so the most we can hope for is that she hasn't come to terms with her love, and thusly can still say she does not love him. OR she doesn't love him at all, where she will come to love him in the next book.

there is NO supporting evidence that it will be Vanir. CP said himself that there are clues throughout the books. I found what I think are a lot of them, and they all lead to Arya. NOTHING has 1/2 SUGGESTED that Vanir has ANY chance to become the next rider.

i don't think it can be vanir because hte next rider is supposed to be female. therefore there are a few possibilities:

Arya (most likely)
Nasuada (next likely)
Angela (she could be but not likely)
or (heaven forbid) Katrina

Arya will probably be the next rider. she already likes eragon but her dragons soon to be attachment to saphira will increase it. thats my theory.

i think that arya does love eragon or at least has feelings 4 him- i think she's just afraid 2 love some 1 again b/c there is some small evidence that she could have been n love w/ faolin and she's afraid 2 have a relationship w/ eragon b/c he's got a a lot 2 learn about himself and about love- i think that at the end of eldest she does c him as somethin more than just a kid and sees him a little bit more as a man but as 4 really genuinelly falling in love w/ him? i think that will come n the next book and she will finally do something about her feelings- yes i think the green dragon will have an effect on her 2 but only on the feelings she already had, making them stronger

well, I don't think that she had feelings for him, because then the AL would have stopped her from saying otherwise.....she hasn't realized them then or she doesn't understand them, the first being more likely.

Arya isn't gonna open up to Eragon w/o some prodding. She needs to be pushed in that direction, either by active, someone telling her directly, or someone to partially be an outlet for her emotions; if she loves someone actively and displays her emotions, then she will be more likely to display her emotions of another person. if it is to be active, that someone has to be closer than ANYONE is to her right now (hinting at something as close as Eragon is to Saphira). If it is indirect, then the most likely answer is a dragon, to whom she would fawn over, as Eragon did Saphira.

This is sad, having to quote myself, but I am so tired of repeating the same thing in different words.
Ayra's is a lot older than Eragon; she has lived a lot longer than he and she is very much aware what's at stake if he is distracted at this chaotic time of war and turmoil. She herself may have convinced (herself) to have no feeling for him other than as a friend, reason why she can say it in the AL, however at the end of Eldest, CP left implied that she is changing her tune. She and Nasuada thought of Eragon dead; and oh the joy when they saw him. ..."I know your heart" anyone remember that?

She is in a position that doesn't allow her to love anyone at the moment, Her schedule and duties are keeping her from having a relationship right now so she really isn't in a position to be in love with someone.

so sublimminally, she DOES love him. the feelings are there, just supressed and unidentified (this sounds like some kind of infection. lol. it's funny cuz i'm reading biology right now). if she identified ti, she wouldn't be able to say that it isn't there. she can't have actually told herself, "i can't love him right now", or else that would be acknoledging its existance, which would have inhibited her from saying that she doesn't love him.

Ok, well she isn't going to come right and say she loves him, but she needs too. But also she really isn't in a position, she's worried about her people and the war against Galby.

At this point of the story, we have not seen Ayra examine her feelings. All we have seen is her refusing any other type of involvement with Eragon other than friendship. We do see how Oromis does speell it out for Eragon and others who up to this point, fail to see what is at stake and her main priority.

Yes, there is something at stake if Arya goes with Eragon, but I'm not sure what it is, maybe her race and family. Or she could be risking her job.

priorities don't change feelings. they change which feelings are SHOWN.

I feel what is as stake just now is the fact Arya has to work with Eragon as a team. It's obvious, at least to me, defeating Galbatorix is the No. 1 priority and not their love life, (for the moment.)

I agree totally. They can just put their love life on hold and get down to the real business which is killing Galby. Also Arya feels the same way that's why she hasn't shown any of her feellings!!

i hev no idear lol but no i dont think arya and eragon will fall in love...he doesnt have to FINISH the story...like when he leaves alagaesia forever...it mght be 1000 yrs from now but he doesnt have to write it...so maybe his love is in another generation that he doesnt include

Why would he skip a generation? And if he does he'll be an old man which nobody is going to love.
