if his TN changes when eragon tells him about brom like i think it will, then they wont have to kill him, why would CP give Murtagh a way out of evil and then crush his hopes and dreams by killing him and have hem remembered as "never good"

he never said that, what he said is that he thinks he would have to embrace galby's ways to escape him, but then eragon disproved him in what he said.
remember? galby is a madman, what if he didnt put a spell on murtagh to alert him when his TN changes?? and even if he did, it couldnt force him back because galby wouldnt know his TN anymore and the spell couldnt force the new murtagh back.

Even if Murtagh's true name changes, I still think there is a good chance of him dying. I guess I just think he will die no matter what.

to drag him would be to drag MURTAGH. the real one that would have changed so the spell doesnt effect that old murtagh. maybe thorn could take him back, but not galby forcing the old and disappeared murtagh, it woldnt work, galby could only be alerted to his name changing.

I hadn't ever thought of Galbatorix casting a spell on Murtagh that would drag him back to Uru'baen. That would be an interesting plot twist, one that could result in him death, even if he did change his true name.

i dont think galby would think of putting a spell on that, him being a madman and all.

BUT, when he broke into their minds, he completely twisted them up, mentally of course. and like i said, even if he knew the exact location, the best he could do is say in the AL "drag the person with the red sword" cause he couldnt actually NAME murtagh in the AL anymore, and the person with the red sword could be anyone whose sword was bloodied. so thorn would be the best bet to have to carry him back, even when murtagh is good and thorn knows it. BOT, we're way off right now.

i think that islanzadi, galby, nar garhzvog, and orrin will die, for reasons stated in previous posts in this topic.

There are a few people I think will die. First off, Orrin will most likely be one because, let's face it, he is pretty much useless and it's not like anyone would care. The others aren't that likely: Islanzadi, Nasuada, maybe Orrik, and Thorn.

alright, one thing is first. MURTAGH WILL NOT DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and second according to my theory, at least one of the big leaders from every race will die by the end of the series. so for my theory, islandzadi, galby, orrin, and nar garhzvog must die. though i think thorn will die too

I think it is highly possible that Murtagh will die. He can't be overruled because of someone's "theory". But it's just as possible that he will live, so I can't make any big guesses. Everyone keeps saying that Islanzadi will die, but if she does, and if Arya leaves to go with Eragon and leave Alagaesia forever, then who will lead the elves. I think it would be kind of funny if Orrin died, just because he's so useless to the story. It was hard fitting him into the scripts I wrote because he was such a small character. I'd just have to throw him a few lines here and there and that's all he says.

not nasuada, because they already had someone die, ajihad.

the dwarves did too if people forgot it was Hrothgar.

i think that MURTAGH MUST LIVE. its not my theory that will save him IMO, but he'll probably escape and run away after thorn dies. if islanzadi died, and arya and eragon are probably (99% sure) going to leave alagaesia, then someone else from another powerful elven house will be chosen to lead, cause arya said that if she didn't want to lead, she doen't have to

(Remember, it said when his power wasn't enough, he had to open the vault of souls) I also am contemplating the fact that Arya might be the dragon rider for the third dragon. This way when Eragon and Arya get together, which they will, then Saphira and the new dragon, who is the ONLY male dragon left if you remember from Brisingr, can get together as well. I also think that there is a 50/50 chance Murtagh will die, but if he does, it will be to save someone or to be a sacrifice or something. This way he'll stay a "good guy" in the book. thx for reading

Its possible that Saphira could die and she would be the person that Eragon wants to come back from the dead perhaps giving up his own life to bring her back.

NO magic that anyone so far has practised but the vault of SOULS is unknown.

I think resurrection as the name would be a bit of a give-away.

He would probably end up not bringing either one back and dying of grief and then it would be a tragedy so everyone would be happy. yes I know that is a complete contradiciton.

hey i just got an idea people keep saying it is mot possible to bring back the dead but eragon is like fiction so anything can happen and CP always finds a way to suprise people.

Arya will die I think because of Angela’s prediction with the Knuckle Bones the whole tragic love thing. Islanzadi will die I think because she is will be in the forefront of the battle.

Angela says she couldn't say how the love the end so we don't know that it is tragic.

there can be 3 different characters to die. King of dwarfs orik , King of surda or queen of elves islanzadi. Be couse there are just 3 important person near eragon others can not be for me

I think the most likely person to die will be Islanzadi.

I don't think that any of the rulers will die. King of the dwarfs has already died and CP isn't repetive like that. I think it will be someone closer to Eragon if anyone dies at all. I hope it isn't Murtagh he is my favourite character.

It could be Roran. Anyone has a possibility to die. We won't know until the book comes out.

I would guess that too. Most everyone else plays too big of a role to die.

Horst isn't extremely important but important enough to matter if he died.

It could be Katrina or Roran defending their child.

Those are two people I never thought of. They are quite likely to die. Especially Bloedgram.

That's kind of the opposite.... A lot of Eragon's strength comes from Saphira and he definitely would/lt even be able to fight Murtagh and Thorn without her. Plus, she is the last female dragon and he won't kill her off. Arya on the other hand has already played a big part in the books and he doesn't need her to fight or to go on.

Eragon would be really torn up if she died. CP won't do it.

i say that thorn dies cuz there is still the other egg

orrin might die. islanzadi might die too and arya will be elven queen. galbatorix will die and with him shruikan. and you know what roran just might do something really heroic and be the king of alagaesia. only the problem is that he promised to take katrina to carvahall.
