Post Mass Effect 2, why it's mind controling.
THe reason I haven't been doing much is because, A) School, and B) All this weekend, I've been playing NOTHING but Mass Effect 2.

Why? To put it simply it is a truly epic game, there's nothing I can compare it too. It brings storytelling and choices in the form of a video game. You want to shoot the idiot who's looking at you wrong? Go ahead. You want to save an entire colony from invasion? You can do that.

To put it simply, this game is more like a work of art, than a video game.

Did I mention it's awesome?

It's just the usual save the universe thing, very sci-fi.

You play as the hero, Commander Shepard, and you're out to stop some evil alien race from abducting humans for an unknown purpose. TO do this you have to go on a suicide mission, which will require a team, a team of some of the most dangerous and brilliant people in the universe. Like assassins and scientists and such... I don't think I described it well.

But it is still awesome.

Its on PC and Xbox, and if you have either, I'd play it--after playing the first. The second is an incredible game, but it can only be appreciated fully if you've played the first once or twice.

I'm on my second playthrough, with a Sentinel, and want to import my fem-shep Vanguard and turn her into an Adept.

Or you could play Fallout and see the same 'revolutionary' gameplay mechanics as they were used years before ME was even so much as an idea.

Last I checked, Fallout wasn't a fully voiced RPG. And yes, the originals have been around for years, but if you're referring to the third, then thats only been out a little over a year. Its not the gameplay mechanics that make ME so good, its the emotional weight of the story and characters

Also, Bioware has been making critically acclaimed RPG's for a long time. Baldur's Gate came out just one year after the first Fallout. And since then, they've released numerous RPGs, all of which have been tremendously well received. Baldurs Gate also has a higher Metacritic and GameRatings, if you care.

Mass Effect 2 is phenomenal.
Shintaro, Fallout 3 is up there as being one of my favorite games, but the choices and such in this are so much deeper, you have a genuine care for all of the characters they all have back stories and "loyalty" missions that define who they are and..AAHHHH ITS AMAZING!!!!

It hits a point where you go like "oh wait...how is this going to affect Mass Effect 3?" all of your choices matter..the people you save..everything.

Wayra what class were you? I did a play through as a vanguard because i loved the idea of just charging in there and shotgunning everyone....its actually not as simple as it looked :p haha

Im going to start a second play through eventually and I think I'll be a sentinel. I heard they're unstoppable.

I played a Soldier first, then a Sentinel back to back. Sentinels are tough, and more interesting than soldiers due to their mix of abilities. It also depends on the difficulty--I was playing on, I think, the third of five, and struggled with a few parts, especially due to a lack of ranged weapons.

When I go back to it, eventually, I'll play a female Adept or Infiltrator.
