Doru Araeba of Vroengard. Even from the sky, it looked terrible. Even for someone who had never seen it before. "I fear even we may have trouble fixing this mess, my friend." thought Faraeta to her one and only companion. "Yes. There is much to be done.", replied Songwind, "Even though this is not the most pressing of tasks, it is indeed needful for I sense it may be put to use once again." "I don't suppose you care to tell me what is the most pressing?", Faraeta hinted. When Songwind didn't reply, she sighed and began searching for a place to make headquarters. _________________ "Do you hear her?" Numair asked the clouds, "She wanted to talk to dolphins so she stopped her own blessed heart! She had been conducting patrols for a long time now, but the islands were not usually on her regular route. It seemed that every time she went there something exciting and usually life-threatening happened, especially around Vroengard, which she was visiting for only the third time in her life. Phal's suspicions were indeed confirmed, for when she approached the island she noticed the infrared signature of a dragon and rider. Interesting. They look unfamiliar, she thought, deciding to go and greet the pair. As she neared Doru Araeba, the dragon and rider came into normal view, without aide of Phal's powers. Hello, there. I don't believe we've met before; I'm Phalynx. May I know what brings you to Doru Araeba today? she called to them in a friendly voice. Phal was very curious about anyone she crossed paths with, especially someone new. When she wasn't immediately blasted, she called back, "Good day, fellow Rider. This is my first visit to Vroengard. Alas, it is not what the stories tell it to be. My name is Faraeta and this is Songwind." Faraeta did not explain how she could have avoided the island especially since Songwind was older than the Fall. I'm afraid you are mistaken, Rider. I am a wild dragon, I have no partner-of-mind, she said. She drew even with Faraeta and Songwind, clearly showing that she was indeed alone. I think I shall clear something up, first, she said when she was next to them, and then said in the Ancient Language, I do not work with Galbatorix, and I do not intend to inflict any harm upon you both. She smiled, her green eyes sparkling. She was on the right side of Songwind, so they could not see the gold stripe in her right eye. Perhaps she should keep it that way; revealing her powers too soon might be a mistake. So why did you decide to go to Vroengard? May I join? IC: Hobsyllwin drifted lazily on the thermals just below the clouds, daydreaming about flying past Alagaesia and exploring other places. What it would be like, she often wondered. Of course, she didn't ever think of leaving Alagaesia. She loved it here, and was certianly not planning to leave what with Galbatorix still being a threat and all. She did, however, want to do a little exploring near her home. She traveled over water, perhaps finding something of use to do. Hmm? What's this? she wondered. Just over the horizon, Syllwin could see the outline of land, green over blue. She had never heard of anything in the oceans near Alagaesia, but she wondered whether there were islands just off the coast. She decided with excitement that it might be a good place to do a little exploring, even though she had no idea what she was getting into. As she flew over towards the islands, she could sense the prescense of two other dragons. She hoped they were friendly. Anyone who wants to join can join, even if we are ten pages into the story. Songwind mind-spoke the newcomer, "Do you not feel the... I don't know how to explain it. It is not quite a summons, but it tells me very clearly that dragon kind are needed as we are involved in something." he felt so frustrated that there was this feeling of need, yet he had no idea why or where he was needed. Faraeta stared at Songwing incredulously. This was what he would not tell her? Why he had simply refused to answer her questions? She felt outraged that he would tell a strange dragon, but not her. Before she could begin to be angry at him, Songwind sent a wordless message of love and chagrine to her. He had not meant to shut her out, but he had needed time to gather his thoughts and he would have told her alone, but if they needed help, another dragon was a very good ally. Then, almost simultaneously, they both looked to the eastern sky, for they felt a dragon approach. _________________ "Do you hear her?" You know, now that you mention it I do feel a pull. Maybe that's why I decided to patrol here after so long... I guess I didn't notice it earlier because of all that I've had to think about, she said with some amusement. The silver dragoness always had a full, busy mind. She looked in the direction that Songwind and Faraeta were gazing in. She gasped with delight. I know that dragon! It's Syllwin! she said to the rider and dragon. She could clearly see the silvery-white dragoness with her sight. She flew quickly over to her, her eyes glowing a cheerful gold. Hey, Syll! Gender: Guy	Re: Rebuilding OOC: Ohayo, I hope I'm not intruding, I just wanted a rp in the islads that didn't advance too far and well...this one fit the bill.... Noaru dashed swiftly through the trees of the bizarely desolate island switching between flying and running barefoot on the ground, snatching at the occassional coconut or fruit. This was about his 2nd sweep through the island searching for fruit to eat, and all he found so far were five coconuts. Slowing down as he came to the beach, he found two dragons and a figure standing on the beach gawking at a third dragon coming closer. Noaru looked at the two dragons standing and then switched his view to the third and decided that this was a very bad situation to be in. She nearly fell out of the sky she was frightened so. When she saw that it was only Phalynx, she recollected herself and smiled. Phalynx, it's been awhile, she greeted. You're energy never ceases to leave you, does it? she added, teasingly. She glanced down towards the island to see the dragon and his rider. So that is Songwind and Faraeta, she said to Phal in private thought. Well, if you were talking to them, then I guess it is okay to trust them? Syllwin looked around when she heard a rustling in the undergrowth not too far where Songwind and Faraeta were standing. Anthor and Gornath had been flying for a long time. Anthor had been asking Gornath why they were going to Vroengard. Every time he asked he only got a grunt in reply. Finally Gornath answered him, " We are going to Vroengard because, well I don't really know, but I am drawn to it like a magnet." Anthor didn't like the sound of this, Gornath was a very wise dragon and didn't do things just on instincy, Anthor kept all of this to himself though, he knew that things just had to work out to their advantage. Later, they were approaching the shores of Vroengard, and they saw them, Phalynx, a rider and dragon, and another dragon on the beach, they wondered were they deawn to this isle just as we were? Since Ryempas hasn't gone, I'm going to take my turn. IC: Phalynx smiled happily at Syllwin. Nah, I'm not even two years old yet! Why wouldn't I have a lot of energy? she said laughingly to the icy dragoness, and then added, I believe Songwind and Faraeta mean no harm to anyone on our side. They are allies. When Syll mentioned hearing something below, Phal examined the ground with her sight, and saw a small hominid shape on the ground. She frowned, wondering who it was, and descended for a closer look. Are you alright? It's okay, I mean you no harm, she said to the boy, who had apparently tripped over a protruding root. When she was hovering just above the trees, waiting for an answer, she heard a greeting from in the sky not far away. She turned her head in the direction of the voices and saw Gornath and Anthor approaching. Hello! Welcome to our little party! I expect you felt the pull of the island too, then. In case you don't know, this silvery dragoness is Syllwin, and the other two are Songwind and his rider Faraeta. I'm not sure who this person on the ground is yet, she explained to the newcomers. Apparently ryempas still isn't back yet...and I'd like u to keep in mind that should my account say I haven't been on in awhile, don't mind about that cause I do check in, just don't have enough time to respond. Anyways... IC: Noaru cursed as he pushed himself up with his hands and scrambled to grab the coconuts. He rubbed his head and muttered to himself, "I can do this...", before putting on a rather horribly fake smile and walked onto the beach. "Don't freak out...don't freak out..." thought Noaru in his mind as he tripped over the same root again and the coconuts spillled onto the clearing in the beach. Noaru cursed again and ran after the coconuts and instead ran headfirst into one of the dragons on the beach. I'm friendly...for the most part, she said in kind of a teasing way. Syllwin was about to say something else, when something stopped her. She looked around, sniffing the air. It was tainted with the scent of blood. It was dragon blood. A dragon has been injured, she hissed. But it's stale.
