Post The Longest Book You Ever Read
What has been the longest book you've ever read and how many pages was it?

The longest book I have ever read was The Lord of the Rings (over 1,000 pages). But, if you don't consider that to be one book, then Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix (over 800 pages).

P.S. Sorry if there was already a topic on this.

I have written my own Eragon Eldest and Brisingr movie scripts, because the one Hollywood did was ruined. I have posted all of them here under FanFiction. Please read them and reply! I am looking forward to adapting the final installment in the cycle once it comes out! Thank you!

Probably for only in one book, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix too. Did you know it's the longest children's book ever published? And I can't even think of a ny longer adult's books.

The longest book i read was Wizard`s First Rule by Terry Goodkind (close to 900 pages). It was really good through and you should read it.

umm... ur 4 getting the 5th one! dats the longest one, remember! it has 870 pages. HP 4 has 714 pages, HP7- 759, and eldest has 704 pages. So actually, the HP books are longer den den eldest, and the Order of the Phoenix is the longest of dem, which is hte 5th one, NOT the 4th one.

lol yeah, it's basically the same thing except shorter! well, they didn't want us to read the full one for school because it would take too long, so that's why we read the abridged one. what do you think of it so far?

Its pretty good. But its kinda dragging on. My sisters bf let me borrow his movie of it, but my mom wont let me watch it till I finish the book. I say screw it. From what I've heard a few things are different from the book anyways, it wont screw it up for me.

This was a conversation between me and my sisters room mate a few weeks ago:

Me: *just told roomy about whats happened so far*
Roomy: "I'm gonna wreck it for you. He gets outa jail."
Me: "....He got out on like page 65...."
Roomy: "Whatever, that was the end of the book for me."[/color]

Hey, it's Ice Bear again. I know that my script is long, but apparently, it's not the longest things you all have read, so don't be shy! Look it up in FanFiction, read it, and reply to it! Thank you!

Well, the Harry Potter series is definitely the longest series of books I've ever read. But it was worth it. I read them over the course of 6 years.
2002-Sorcerer's Stone
2003-Chamber of Secrets
2004-Prisoner of Azkaban
2005-Goblet of Fire
2006-Order of the Phoenix
2006-Half-Blood Prince
2007-Deathly Hallows

The longest when including series in one volunme would be the lord of the rings or his dark materials (golden compass etc). Single book would be The Stone Key by Isobelle Carmody with exactly 1000 pages.
