Sighing she quickly grabbed the water skins and filled them before leading the horses to the water to drink. Fenlore looked a bit drained as he held the water for the horses. She patted Deyl'ons neck and began to speak to him in a soft, quiet, and comforting tone. Her stance relaxed and for once she had a natural smile on her face as she stroked him gently. "I may be a prick, but you're used to that. Yeah, yeah, I'll try." She told him softly and began to run her hands over his body, making sure that he wasn't in any discomfort and that nothing was out of place or broken. She checked his hoofs to make sure no stones were uncomfortably set in them, all done with a gentle and caring hand.

Mesaraih it will not be easy but this is something that as a rider you WILL have to deal with. You will have many more years of life to learn lessons like this but it may be best to start now considering we will be traveling with her for a while longer. Fenlore took a deep breath and released the magic he was using.
He had also been watching Kenya. She cared dearly for her horse as he cared for her. It reminded him of his bond with Bree.
Fenlore took a three small loafs of bread out of the saddle pack.
"Come on y'all let’s sit for a few minutes." Fenlore tossed some bread to both Mesaraih and Kenya and then looked and Kenya and said, "Let me check your wounds." His eyes and voice soft.

Kenya rubbed down Deyl'on once more before sitting down. Deyl'on walked over to her and stood by her almost protectively, even though there really wasn't any danger around. Kenya glanced up in time to catch her piece of bread, she broke off about half of it and let Deyl'on have it. She wasn't very hungry, the heat seemed to shrink her appetite. She ate her piece of bread and looked over at Fenlore. "No," she said simply, not having forgiven him yet.

Fenlore let out an exasperated sigh. Both Kenya and Mesaraih were being stubborn. They were making this trip much more difficult then it needed to be. Fenlore chewed his bread slowly savoring what nutrition he could get out of it. He also did like Kenya and gave some to Bree.
After he finished he looked at Kenya raising an eyebrow and said, "Okay then let’s get moving now then. Unless someone wants to make sure they are okay and not making their wounds worse?" He half shrugged as he stood.
While saying this he spoke to Mesaraih mentally, You are young and like my teacher said to me, "You won’t understand why you do something until you do it yourself." Please calm yourself and think on this, that is all I ask of you.

Kenya shot an icy glare at Fenlore. "Fine," she huffed. "Lets go, then I can be ridden of you both sooner." She was starting to let her temper run away with her. Carefully she stood up and placed her hands on her saddle, she knew she had to be careful, or she'd reopen her wounds. In one swift move she mounted, but felt the deepest, and probably the one with the most infection, rip wider. In shock she fell from her horse and bit down on her lip to keep from yelling out from the pain. Her eyes began to water slightly as the pain increased when she had tried to move, so she sat there frozen, to terrified to move.

Mesaraih listen closely, you haven't tried to befriend her thus you don't understand why that would be something you would want to do. You can find friends in the most unexpected places and friends can be closer than a brother.
Fenlore was speaking to Mesaraih when he saw Kenya fall from Deyl'on's saddle. He rushed over to her side quickly. Bree was also there waiting for Fenlore to unpack the thing he needed. Fenlore took a blanket and laid it down. He then laid Kenya on it and undressed her wounds. His touch was gentle and reassuring. Once he saw the wounds though he cursed. They were much worse one was gapping and discolored from infection.
"Mesaraih heat some water up." Fenlore placed his hands on her back and spoke a complicated spell to slowly rid the flesh of infection. Fenlore was mentally beating himself up, it was his fault they left so quickly. He was bent on his journey, on that he didn't want to stop but now it would have to stop.

Kenya clenched her teeth as she began to name off every curse she knew in her mind. It stung like someone was taking a white hot iron to her back. Her hands balled up into fists and she dug them into the sand. She tried to resist Fenlore's help, it was only making the pain worse. "Stop!" She hissed at him while he carefully undid the bandages. It didn't matter it he was being gentle and careful, the sting was beyond words. "Don't you dare!" She said quietly and quickly pulled away from his grasp. It hurt way too much. "Just...Leave. Me. Alone." She was breathing harshly as she ground her teeth, hoping to distract herself from the pain.

At the resistance Fenlore entered her mind and did his best to protect her from the pain. Stop resisting, this is bad. I need to take care of this or... He let the thought die and then continued, We can't lose you okay, just let me take care of this. His mental voice was strained with emotion as he spoke to her.
He spoke another quick phrase in the ancient language, one to numb the pain. Fenlore was trembling not because of weariness but fear, he knew that if the infection spread through the blood stream it would be the end of Kenya.
Mesaraih all I can say is show her kindness and be there when she needs you for that is what a friend is for. Now come watch what I am doing, you have need for training and there is nothing like hands on training.

Kenya felt the pain grow numb quickly. "I don't care, just leave me be," her voice was much more weak then she had intended. The infection was spreading fast, especially with the heat beating into it. "I'm fine, its just a scratch, I've had worse." Even though she could exactly feel the pain, the effect was still there. She was refusing to let Fenlore or Mesaraih come close. Her head began to swim and her body began to slowly ache. Her vision became blurry and she could barely make anything out. "I just need to sleep," she trailed off as she fell onto the blanket unconscious.

Fenlore watched in horror as Kenya passed out, that wasn't the best of signs. "Mesaraih you need to take over what I am doing here. I'm just killing the infecting here it’s not that difficult, use these words." He spoke to phrase he used twice slowly then released what he was doing. He moved onto her side and motioned Mesaraih to begin.
Now Fenlore placed one hand on Kenya's head and the other on her chest over her heart. He spoke in soft undertone as he spoke these words in the ancient language, "Protect the mind and heart from the infection, kill whatever of it that come near to either the mind or the heart."
Fenlore did bother using a low energy consumption magic he didn't have time for that. He felt the drain right away it was not what he expected but he would hold out till Mesaraih killed the infection.

Deyl'on watched as the two worked at trying to get the infection out of Kenya. He knew this was too close of a call, one day there wouldn't be someone to help, and then she would die. He watched as she was slowly coming to, she didn't look too good.

Kenya opened her eyes, her body ached, but the pain was gone and it felt like the infection was gone as well. She blinked a few times, trying to rid herself from the darkness that encased her eyes. She continued to blink. "How long was I out?" she asked, it must have been a while since night time had fell. Deyl'on looked at her worriedly, the sun was out and shinning brightly, but Kenya kept having images of black running through her mind.

Fenlore was able to stop the infection from spreading into Kenya's mind and heart. Fenlore kept tabs on Mesaraih progress; he was amazed of his strength. He would have to compliment him later but for now he need to concentrate on helping Kenya.
Fenlore released the spell and then spoke. "Don't move just yet Kenya. We need to seal up your wounds. And you were out for a few hours, you will be okay." Fenlore was still worried though so many things still could go wrong.

Kenya kept still and she tried to calculate how long it had been for it to be so dark. How did it get to be so dark when we still had a lot of day left? He said I was only out for a few hours, a few hours can't have been long enough for it to be this dark. She thought to herself, wondering what could possibly be going on. "Fenlore, where are you?" she asked him, surely he couldn't be close to her. Even at night it was still light enough to see someone if they were close by.

Fenlore froze when he heard what Kenya said. Fenlore grabbed Kenya's hand and held it to his face as he said, "I'm right here." Fenlore was looking at Kenya’s face, something wasn't right here. His jaw trembled slightly. "You can't see me or Mesaraih." It wasn't a question it was a plan statement of fact. Fenlore brushed up against her mind and tried to see through her eyes but saw only darkness.
Fenlore then looked at Mesaraih and shook his head in sadness. We will make camp for the next few days here. There isn't much but we will make do. Fenlore gazed back at Kenya but still spoke to Mesaraih, Thank you friend, I wouldn't have been able to save her in time by myself.

Kenya was shocked when she felt Fenlore take her hand. She tried squinting through the darkness to see something, anything, but it was all black. What Fenlore said next scared her. She shut her eyes to let her other senses explore. She could feel the hot sun on her skin, the light breeze brushing through the desert, the small sounds of the horses as they breathed. She ripped her hand away and backed up before hiding her face in her hands. "Leave me alone," her voice was strained as she spoke.

Fenlore looked at Kenya with sadness. He hated seeing the hardships of other and he hated seeing it when he might have been able to stop it.
Mesaraih we might be here for a day or two. If you don't want to wait until we continue you can take Bree and ride a head. He didn't want to see Mesaraih go but he knew that he was on a mission and would need to get back as soon as possible.
Fenlore scooted a little closer to Kenya. He laid his arm across her back and whispered in her ear, "I don't think I can leave you alone. No I am here with and I wont go." They were simple words but he spoke them with strong emotions.

"Thank you," Kenya said quietly. This was the one time she felt true fright. This wasn't something she could handle on her own, this was something much bigger. She barely registered the fact that Fenlore put a comforting arm around her. Her sight was everything, she wished it had been something else, anything else. Being able to see was crucial, if you couldn't see, you're as good as dead. Deyl'on walked over to where she was sitting, he could see the terror in her empty eyes. Fear wasn't an emotion Kenya knew, he hated seeing her this way. In a gesture of some comfort, and because he felt her mind would calm with it, he rubbed his soft muzzle against her face and sent current images of what was happening. I'm scared, she said to herself, the thought breaching her one way barriers and entering into the minds of those that were near enough.

Fenlore wished he could smile at what Mesaraih said but he couldn't not now this was something that could ruin Kenya's life.
Good, I am glad that you don't leave. And we can't do anything till we know whats wrong. If we use the wrong spell it may do more damage. But for now we just need to be here for her, this is to big for most to deal with. Fenlore spoke to Mesaraih.
Fenlore listened to the two simple words that Kenya spoke with her mind he couldn't help but smile weakly half knowing what the first true experance of fear is like. "Being scared is nothing to be shamed of and you have all the reason to be but I will say this anyway you don't have to scared you have me and Mesaraih here. And we will do all we can to find a way to heal your eyes." Fenlore spoke softly again trying to sooth Kenya.

Kenya didn't respond to him and fell silent. She retreated into her own mind, not willing to speak with anyone. She'd looked around every once in a while, but it stayed black, so she gave up. This feeling of helplessness and complete reliance on Mesaraih and Fenlore made her feel, well helpless and she didn't like it. She could feel the heat on her face start to fade and guessed that the sun must be setting. The one time I should've listened to reason and I didn't, well that's just typical. She told herself, slightly angry with herself.

Fenlore rose from Kenya's side and began to work on setting up a camp. He unstrapped saddles, gathered whatever he could to burn, and even got a makeshift tent up. It wasn't much just a tarp being held up by his spear and other random objects.
"Home sweet home." He whispered to himself. As he surveyed what they had for supplies and sighed, it wasn't much. His gaze fell on Kenya and he sighed shaking his head, what could he do though?

Kenya felt around and was able to retrieve one of her daggers from the many layers of her clothes. She unsheathed it carefully and began to actually feel what it was like. Her hands traced over the many grooves and bumps that were spaced across it. It was one thing to see what you hold, but another thing entirely different when you feel what it looks like. She continued to memorize the different patterns and was able to piece together which specific dagger she was holding.

For a while this is what she did to entertain herself, she never imagined how boring no vision could be. She was restless and wanted to do something, but if she wandered to far from camp, that would be a very bad thing. Her hands picked up handfuls of sand at random, and she'd let it trickle through her hands back onto the ground. There had been many times she had seen blind people in city streets, she remembered the cloudy and almost disturbing look in their eyes. She couldn't tell herself, obviously, but she didn't like the idea that her eyes were already getting a misty look to them. She found a thin, but long piece of cloth that was fairly loose and wrapped it around her eyes. It also made it easier to break her habit and trying to look around.

Fenlore nodded at what Mesaraih, Yeah she could use some rest, all of us could. We will see what we can do for her eyes tomorrow. Fenlore then walked over to Kenya, when he saw the cloth over her eyes he sighed.
"Kenya come with me, I want you to try something." Fenlore touched her arm gently.

Kenya turned her head to the place where she heard Fenlore's voice, she felt him touch her arm lightly, she quickly grabbed his hand. She wasn't sure why, but it had been more of an instinct thing, she just desperately wanted some sort of contact with the visual world and Fenlore seemed like a solid connection for it. "What?" her voice was barely above a whisper.

My friend I am going to try and give her hope, for we don't even know if we can heal her eye sight. So for now we give her hope of a different sight.

Fenlore guided Kenya to where he had set up a small bed of a blanket for her. Wasn't much but they didn't have much to begin with. He kept a tight reassuring grip on her hand. "Kenya, tomorrow me and Mesaraih will do everything we can to heal your eyes. But in case we aren't successful for a while. I want you to try and something. Remember when I let you see through my eyes?" He let the question hang letting Kenya grasp what he was saying. Fenlore also made the movement to sit down doing it slowly so Kenya could see that he was doing this.

Kenya stumbled slightly as she had to have complete faith and trust in Fenlore as he pulled her away from where she had felt remotely safe sitting down. She hated this, she hated it completely. She liked, no loved, being able to only have to trust herself to do everything; but to throw all her beliefs out the window and rely on these men who were still foreign and strangers to her was a big blow to her pride and ego.

She slowly sat down and realized that she was safe for now and couldn't help but feel grateful to Fenlore, but her pride was hurt too much and she wasn't about to admit it. Kenya listened to him carefully at his idea and her blood instantly chilled and her face paled considerably. After a few moments she took her hand out of his grasp, the only thing that she could hold onto to help her get around, and her face set into a hard look. "No!" she told him angrily in protest. "I rather die out here from lack of sight and everything else then do that again!" she wouldn't do it again, ever. The feeling was too much, she had to have a complete grasp on her own body, not feel distant and see through someone else. "I won't do it!" she said stubbornly.

Fenlore smiled weakly at Kenya's reaction. He knew that she wouldn't like it but he was going to take a different view. "Don't worry I was going to ask you to look through my eyes or Mesaraih’s or Bree’s for that matter. I wouldn't really like having someone in my head all the time. What I propose is you touch and look through the eyes of the one that you know the best here. Seeing that you touch his mind on a daily bases. I can tell from your little game you played with Deyl'on that you have a bond with him, you wouldn't have the same dethatched feeling with him." He spoke in a reasonable tone, as he finished he touched Kenya's hand gently trying whatever he could do to be reassuring.

Kenya still felt stubborn towards the idea, but hearing that she could possibly do it through Deyl'on helped her warm up to the idea. While thinking over the possibility of using Deyl'ons eyes to see, but she remembered something that would work against them. "I'm not sure if that would work though," she said taking slight comfort from Fenlore's touch. Deyl'on looked up at her and communicated a few images to her and she nodded. "I know Deyl'on," she muttered to him.

"Why would it not work?" Asked Fenlore, he had never known of something like this not working unless you didn't have the gift and he knew that Kenya had the gift she was just to proud to admit it.
She has so much pride, reminds me of a certain talented rider I know. Fenlore spoke to Mesaraih mentally.

Kenya kept silent, trying to figure out how to explain it. "Well, when I found him, he was abused and literally insane. It took forever to bring him back, and even long after that to get him to trust me." She stopped remembering how hard it was, sometimes she wondered why she had persisted and stuck with it when she normally couldn't. "It was a complete accident that images and memories slipped into the others mind. I have to admit I tried to investigate further. I'm not very good at it, but he was abused too much and his mind is sort of crippled." She wasn't sure if it made any sense, it was one of those things that was difficult to explain verbally. "So it's only ever been images, some people have said you can hear voices, or detect a certain voice in a mind, but his has only ever been images."

Fenlore nodded in sympathy for the horse. He reached for its mind but found it muddled, confused and different as if it had been beaten down, but the difference wasn't all bad; Fenlore could tell that Deyl'on was smart for a horse. Fenlore sent him a picture of a sun setting over the ocean, just to experiment.
"You are capable of doing this." Whispered Fenlore hoping that she would try and be patient like she had been when she tamed Deyl'on.
Fenlore chuckled in Mesaraih mind and said,Young rider pride is pride, the only difference is what you are proud of but all pride is the same. You can be proud of a person or an object but its still pride. You and Kenya have much in common and can help eachother if y'all could try and get along.

Deyl'on was surprised to receive the mental image. He looked at Kenya confused, she hadn't sent it to him, that he was sure of. He glanced at the other two and realized quickly that it had come from Fenlore. In reply, he sent an image of a sun rising instead of setting. Kenya heard what Fenlore had said, but she wasn't sure, she had too many doubts. "I don't think I can," she mumbled while she sunk into a minor depressed state. Deyl'on sensed this change in her mood and began to flood her mind with images of certain sceneries that seemed untouched by men. They certainly were beautiful, and they helped lift her spirit somewhat.

Fenlore smiled at the image Deyl'on sent Fenlore. Fenlore wrapped a supportive arm around Kenya and said, "That’s the problem right there you think too much." He chuckled a little and continued, "Anyway we won’t try anything tonight."
True but she has had a tough past. That placed distrust to others. He casted a look at Mesaraih raising an eyebrow with a grin.

Kenya glared at what Fenlore said, but realizing he couldn't see her glare and it was highly useless, she felt to the side to make sure she had some grip. Finally she came into contact with his shoulder, then putting forth a lot of strength, she shoved him extremely hard. "Well every great plan was over thought, so I'll continue to think just as much as I want." She said with a slightly rude tone. "Good, I'm too tired anyhow," she grumbled and lay down on the blanket, turning her back onto Fenlore and Mesaraih, at least she was pretty sure she was.

Fenlore fell to his side and he laughed quietly. "Not what I meant Kenya but when you put it that way...." He got up and brushed the sand off, trying not to laugh out loud. The sun was beginning to set and he turned his attention to it.
Mesaraih that’s all I ask of you. Fenlore spoke to him not really paying attention to what was going on just looking at the setting sun. If Fenlore was right he would see the sign anytime soon and he was right. The sky lit up with streaks of white that seemed to die off somewhere in the desert. "It's begun." Said Fenlore in a small voice as the white fire streaked across the sky. He watched in awe as the spectical continued.

Kenya quickly sat up at what Fenlore said. "What is it? What's begun?" she asked confused, trying to figure out what seemed to have drawn everyones attention. She could feel the cold disappear slightly as heat filled the air. "What's going on?" she asked almost scared.

Fenlore sighed and turned to his companions. "It's a sign. Or should I say more of a guide. There are many legends to what it is. Some believe its the souls of the dead departing. Others say its a great white dragon spitting his flames far and wide." Fenlore sighed realizing the Kenya couldn't see what was going on. He looked up at the sky and sent her a mental picture of the white fire dancing across the sky. "But what people believe and what it actually is to different things. The fire is only a signal or a guide. What I know is that it leads to where the dragons had lived during the war between them and the elves. There is some source of great power there, or so said my master." Fenlore had found the guide but as he looked down at Kenya he knew he couldn't fallow it. He needed to get those here out of the desert.
Mesaraih this is what I had came out here to find. Now I have and can't fallow it.

Kenya listened to him intently as he spoke and was amazed by the image he sent her. It was truly beautiful, but as he spoke, she could detect sadness in his voice as he finished. It didn't take much to figure out why he might be upset and a bit sad. Kenya sat in silence for a moment, she still hadn't known them for very long, did she want to already sacrifice something, or be the selfish prick she had been a lot of her life. If Fenlore had come all the way out to this wasteland just to follow some sort of myth, or whatever it was, he must really wanted to find this. Kenya didn't like this, she had never been torn between two possibilities, and now she knew she didn't like it.

No worries Mesaraih, I do not leave friends and if I left you two together one wouldn't last long. He put as much humor into the thought as he could.
He continued to watch as the white fire die away for the night. Fenlore sighed and looked over at Kenya who looked troubled. He continued with the story hoping it would defuse anything that might happen. "Many have tried over the years to fallow the white fire but all died in the attempt. It wasn't the desert that killed them but whatever protected the place did. Galbatorix had even sent a large powerful group of magicians there but none returned. In the days of old the only none dragons aloud were the riders." He looked in the direction the sing had pointed and continued, "I wanted to go there, figuring my father was a rider I would be protected and....." He stopped his eyes widened at what he just said, he just spoke knowledge that he guarded with passion as if it were nothing.

Kenya was beginning to hear beyond just the words, she was able to detect emotions behind them, emotions she hadn't ever heard before. When Fenlore cut off so suddenly, she wasn't sure if he'd stopped himself, or something else had caught his attention. So his father was a rider, that explains a few things. As she devled deeper into her thoughts, she found herself softening slightly. "Fenlore, this must be very important to you-" she stopped, trying to figure out how she would say the next words. This would be the one thing she hadn't ever done in her life, shown compassion to another person. "I don't want you to give up on this, it would be best for you to follow it. I can get out of here, just not as easily, but I can. I don't want to make you sacrifice this." She was surprised how soft her tone was, it hadn't been that way in too long of a time.

Fenlore gazed at Kenya, he so wished to take her offer. This was a chance to go where he could find something more than just his father’s weapons and armor but a part of his heritage. He gazed at Mesaraih and spoke, "No, I have no right going there. You do Mesaraih but not I. I have no clue what will happen if I go there. And I wouldn't leave either of you anyway. It’s too dangerous out here." He spoke in an even unreadable tone.
"There are reasons why even Galbatorix's doesn't dare go there. I do not know if it would be safe for any to go there anyway." He looked down; he wasn't trying to convince the others that he mustn’t go but himself. If he didn't have a strong will he would have left right away.

Kenya felt guilty as Fenlore spoke that he'd stay with them. "If this is something that is personal, then you need to go Fenlore," she said firmly, but not harshly. "It wouldn't kill me to be decent to Mesaraih, I'm sure we could manage getting out of here without killing each other first." She said, not really realizing yet what she was saying. Never in her life had she done anything like this.

Fenlore glared at Mesaraih and Kenya, which he found was a waste of time on her. Did they not realize what the problem was with him leaving? He was almost snarling. "You two just don't get it do you? It’s not that you aren't capable of getting out of here it’s the fact that you don't know how! Mesaraih you proved that by getting lost in the first place and Kenya don't be mad but you can't find your way when you’re blind!" Fenlore took a deep breath settling his nerves, "You may be able to survive but unless you know how to navigate the desert you will NEVER get out. Oh and it ain't something I can teach over night either it takes years of just spending time out here."

"Then you're an idiot!" Kenya screamed at Fenlore before turning her back on him. It was more out of a habit thing then anything else. Streams of curses popped up in her head, and she was more then willing to throw them in his face, but oddly enough, she held her tongue. "I've aquired enough knowledge about the desert to get out, being blind is only an obsticle." She said bitterly.

Fenlore sighed, he had truly forgotten the fact that Mesaraih had a guide if he needed and as for Kenya he just didn't want to leave her side for some reason yet.
"Okay, y'all know more then I give credit for. But still doesn't change anything." Fenlore turned his back to them and sat down with a loud thud, he didn't want to go off alone, even after such a small time with these two he was growing attached to their company like he had when he was a bandit. But that wasn't something he would admit openly, so instead he said, "What right do I have to go there anyway? I am no rider."

Kenya sighed, she was starting to like them much more then she would admit. They made her feel human, well, more human then she had been in a very long time. Feelings she hadn't felt for so long were resurfacing, and one particular one that she'd never felt, made her feel small. For once in her life she was experiancing humility, and she wasn't sure if she liked it or not. However, she was still stubborn and still had hard habits, but she was starting to slowly soften. "Well I'm glad you'd want to stay with us, even though you could just leave. Though I think that it is only surrounded by haunting stories to keep the faint heart away. I think, if you really do want to figure it out, whether it be for some personal reason or curiosity. If you have a pure heart in pursuing this, then I think you'll be protected." Kenya had no idea what madness drove her to speak words of sympathy and comfort to someone, she'd never done it before, excluding Deyl'on. "Rider or not," she told him firmly.

Fenlore sighed and said, "Thanks both of you." He laid back then and continued though, "It would be to hard to not get caught by the empire anyway. We are already going to have more trouble with them but if we get between Galbatorix and this power." He sighed and let his eyes slip shut but he continued not really paying attention to the facts he spouted out. "He tries every time he can to get this power. He would be very mad if I stopped him from getting close again." He yawned not realizing the weight of the days activities hitting him hard and whispered now started to doze, "Even madder if someone else claimed it." His breathing evened as he dozed off in the desert dusk.

"I guess, if that's how you want it to be," Mesaraih said. "Maybe we should get some rest now."

"You're honestly concerned about what Galby thinks of you?" Kenya asked shocked. "All the more reason to take the power from him, he needs to be stopped. If you go on like this, worrying about whether or not he'll be mad at you or whatever, maybe you're on the wrong side." She said a bit bitterly to him. "He doesn't need more power, he has too much, he needs to be stopped." She grumbled as she felt herself start to slip into an uncomfortable slumber.

Fenlore half smiled as he heard what Kenya said, while he dozed. Even as a half-breed he still slept from time to time. He would love to stop Galbatorix but that wasn't the burden for these two to bear. And with all the solders around he had no intention of leaving them, which was dangerous for all of them.
Fenlore slept for a good thirty minutes and then woke up. Bree had awakened him. Fenlore stretched his back, he actually felt rather good after such a short rest. The sky was dark though, clouds covered the stares this night.
Bree nuzzled Fenlore's leg and sent him conflicting emotions.
"I know old friend but what am I to do?" Fenlore spoke quickly and quietly in the ancient language. Fenlore grinned as Bree sent him a picture of him thrusting his sword through Galbatorix's chest.
"If only it were that easy." Fenlore leaned against Bree's side and pulled a folded letter out of his pocket. "Orome, I could use your advice." Bree nickered a little louder then necessary and Fenlore sighed, "Yes I know he gave me the map with the intentions of me finding this place. But what can I do? Should I drag along a blind woman and a young rider? Because leaving them is like a death sentence to them and even me, with the fact that allot of Galbatorix's army will be prowling around here. And then there is a fact that sense the last time I stop Galby he might come himself and make sure the place is found. And let’s not forget the Ra'zac."
Bree nudged Fenlore again, "No friend it is not for my life I fear." He looked from Mesaraih to Kenya and sighed. Bree nickered and sent Fenlore a nice bit of his own fear, "I know I sensed them earlier too. That’s why we weren't seen."
Fenlore patted Bree's neck and said, "I think I have no choice but if they get spotted without me....even with Fenerixes.....it would not be good."
The next mental picture Fenlore got he nodded to. "That might work. That just might work, but would they go with it."
Fenlore leaned his head back again but didn't sleep; he kept his mind open and meditated.

Kenya woke up from the chill in the wind. She couldn't remember her dream, as it had disappeared as soon as she was conscious. She had no clue as to what time it was, Deyl'on was asleep, so she couldn't ask him. It could still be in the middle of the night, or the next day for that matter. Sighing frustratedly, she decided to explore her other senses. Letting the sounds fill her head, she was surprised to find so many sounds she'd never noticed before. After picking out of a few she knew, she detected a slow sound.

Turning her head slightly, the sound was gentle and barely there. It was in sync with similiar sounds, but this one was different. She tilted her head again to find the exact spot it was coming from. The sound continued in a steady rythmn, and she was surprised at the calming effect it had on her. She'd never noticed it before since she relied so much on her other senses, that her hearing seemed to be drowned out much of the time. "Fenlore?" she asked tentatively.

Fenlore yawned and looked up as Kenya spoke his name; he saw that Mesaraih hadn't caught a wink of rest yet too. "Yes Kenya." He said in a low voice but loud enough for her to hear.
Were you eves dropping on our conversation Mesaraih? Fenlore asked him at the same time. Fenlore would be annoyed if he did but it would make thing easier if he had too though.

Kenya sighed comfortably. "Good, otherwise we might have a predicement. Though I doubt someone's breathing would sound that relaxing if they had bad intentions." She said a little absently. Someone breathing pattern changed, she titled her head towards the direction. It wasn't coming from Fenlore, Deyl'on was close enough to her to touch, and Bree must be close to Fenlore. "Its very impolite to converse silently." She said sharply to Mesaraih, and Fenlore, but it was said in good humor.

Fenlore laughed at what Kenya said but was surprised that she said his breathing was relaxing. He looked at Mesaraih and grinned, they would know what that conversation was about soon.
"Well sense we are all up, I might as well say what I and Bree have decided." He paused taking a deep breath and said, "I'm going to go find this place, stop the empire from getting whatever is there." He looked down and chuckled a small chuckled of shame, "I don't wish to go alone though. It will probably be more then I could handle by myself." He didn't want to put then in danger but he knew they would be in danger anyway. "Will you?" He asked in a week voice.

Kenya smiled at what Fenlore had said, it was good to know he was going to go against Galbatorix. "I'm glad you're willing to do this," Kenya stretched as she spoke. "Well, hard trials, huge chance of dieing...what are we sitting around here for?" she said almost enthusiastically. "Of course, if you're willing to put up with my stubborness, blindness, and horrible temper; this will be rather fun." She smiled brightly as she could feel the heat on her skin from the sun that was starting to dispel the cold desert atmosphere.

Fenlore sighed, he didn't know if they would have wanted to come with him. He chuckled and laid his head back against Bree again.
"I think your stubbornness will be the least of our problems." He said in a whisper.
"Doesn't matter though y'all get some rest we start early tomorrow and we have to work on your eyes also Kenya."

"Yeah, all right," Mesaraih said. He had started to feel a bit of weariness catch up with him, so he welcomed the idea of rest greatly. "So you know where it's at, don't you?" he asked Fenlore. "Or you have a general idea?"

"Alright," Kenya agreed and lay back down. This would probably be a very difficult challenge, but who cares? Challenges are good, and not to mention, she loved 'em. Deep in her mind, she had decided that she didn't care if she received her eyesight again, after all, the world was much bigger when you had to depend on your other senses instead of sight alone. With those thoughts in mind, she started to drift back to sleep, not sure how hard this would be, but finding she didn't care.

Fenlore closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "Yes I know where it is. I would have gone there last time the signs showed up but I had to try and lead the empire away from it." He sighed shaking his head, "Rest now. Questions in the morning." Fenlore needed time to think of a plan. He knew they were close but he didn't know how close the empire was.

Kenya let her mind drift away slowly. Thoughts and memories passed through her mind to calm herself down. She was asleep fairly quick and was grateful for the dreamless sleep, or if she had dreamt, she had forgotten it. It could have been a few hours, and it could have been many, Kenya didn't know. She woke up, not from being fully rested, even though she was, but something had stirred her awake. Something felt wrong, and now she truly felt crippled by her blindness.

Fenlore kept his mind open as the other rested. He knew the kind of dangers that laid a head, he knew the chances of surviving were and how with everyday they lessened. He could feel the power of Galbatorix getting closer. For that was the reason he didn't want those two involved but also the reason why he needed them.
They were only one good days travel away from the destination, he had gotten closer last time but now he would finally see what few outside the race of dragons have.
The sun was preparing to peak over the horizon. Fenlore stirred in his thoughts and began to unwrap his armor from Bree's saddle bag. He brought out cloths and cleaning oil and began to polish every piece. It was a good stress reliever. His armor was very lightweight but strong Elven plate armor. It shined silver even in the darkness. Once finished he stood and began to strap everything on starting with the chain mill under shirt. When he was done he looked like a knight but was missing the helmet.
The sun peaked over the horizon and Fenlore grinned, so the day would begin. He looked at Kenya and he lost his grin she looked stricken, lost but not lost, it’s complicated. He kneeled beside her and removed his gauntlet. He took her hand and gave it a reassuring squeeze. "Don't worry....you will see again. I will make sure of this."

Kenya heard the sound of armor being jostled slightly. The previous sounds that had filled her head had disappeared. It scared her as she tried to hear the small indications of something else, or someone. She guessed it was Fenlore getting his armor ready. The sounds were quieter and she guess he must be fully armed now. She began to strain her ears again for the sounds, but they weren't there. That scared her, she felt like they were being watched by unfriendly eyes.

She nearly jumped out of her skin when Fenlore gave her hand a squeeze. "Its not that, I don't care if I ever see again," she said a bit shaken. "We're being watched," she said so quietly, she wasn't sure if he could hear her. Her ears instantly picked up on the tiny sounds of the sand being disturbed by someone else. She gripped his hand hard as fear swept through her. She hated this feeling of fear, she'd never felt it so much before, but when you can't see, it was a reaccuring emotion.

Fenlore sighed and shook his head. They weren't being watched he was, it was the men Glabatorix had hired to follow him. The nomads of the desert.
"They have been following me for a good week now. And they will continue to do so untill we reach our destination."
He looked all around them his grip on Kenya's hand tightening a little. He knew part of what would be waiting for them there, an army or more.
"They wont attack us though. If they did Galby would kill them, they need us to lead the way."

Kenya couldn't help but hold tightly to Fenlore's hand. What he said frightened her a little, but most of it was because she could still hear the soft sounds of movement. "Either way, promise you'll watch my back?" Kenya knew she had no choice but to put her life into the hands of these two. She didn't like it, but from what she knew of them, she was sure she could be comfortable letting them keep her safe.

Fenlore's face was grim as he looked at Mesaraih. He knew that they probably both wanted to kill these fools then continue but that would be the death of them all. He knew that Galbatorix was close and keeping close tabs on them. He also knew that if he killed the spies Galby himself would come and rip the information from their mind; the three wouldn't be much of a challenge to Galbatorix and his dark dragon.
"We will continue for our destination. It's all that is keeping us alive right now." He spoke the truth but hoped that maybe something there would give them the upper hand.
Fenlore entered Kenya's mind to answer her, not trusting his voice to stay strong. Always. Was his simple reply.
"Now let’s get ready to go. He released Kenya's hand and began to saddle Bree. "Mesaraih saddle Deyl'on." He wanted the young rider to stay busy knowing he probably wanted to attack the spies

Felecia was flying on Ebony's back with Felena close behind and Midnight trying to keep up on the ground,"Ebony,we need to land and get water." as Ebony and Felena landed Felecia sensed others close by,she recognized Mesariah,but not the other two,she decided to get water first then go say hello.Felecia had Ebony dig a hole at least three feet deep then said in the Ancient Language,"Water come to the surface." as she filled her canteen,Ebony took three long droughts and was done,as she was about to let the water go Midnight galloped up,his sides heaving,took a couple gulps of water and was done."Ebony,you have to stay here,Mesaraih knows about you but the other two don't,I don't want to make them alarmed." Ebony grumbled but didn't argue.Felecia mounted her horse and started trotting towards the three people,when she got close she dismounted and walked the rest of the way,she could tell that the female was blind by her actions.Felecia saw Mesaraih get up and saddle one of their horses,she wandered where Fenirexes was,hoping that he wasn't hurt."One of the people is blind." she told Ebony,not knowing what to do she crouched in the sand and waited for something.She saw the female look around,"She heard me." she thought,Felecia decided to come out of hiding,she heard what the other male said about the sound the female heard,she started to walk toward them,"Actually,the sound you heard was me." she said tentatively,not wanting to startle the blind woman.

Ebony told Felena,"You might want to change form,the people might not want to see a Lethrblaka." at his words Felena changed to her dragon form,with sky blue scales and a long neck,"I never get tired of seeing you in this form.".Ebony heard Felecia say their was a blind female,"Be careful Felecia." Midnight took the opportunity and layed down to rest,the sand was too hot,Midnight sent Ebony a picture of himself being shaded by Ebony,"Sure." and positioned himself to shade Midnight,"Thank you." said Midnight."Oh," said Felena,"then my other form isn't pleasing to you?" teasing of course.Felena felt how tired Midnight was and gave him some energy to recuperate.
