Sol
Nyah. >.> Yet one more. I couldn't help it. Alright, his powers, scale coloring, breed, personality, and part of his history I'm giving credit to my grandmother. Essentially Sol was her idea, I just built on what she gave me. XD
Name: Sol
Age: 14 yrs
Gender: Male
Skills: Physical Thought Touch; Sol has absolutely no idea that he possesses this ability, as he takes great pains to avoid people, even his own race. This skill allows him to read anothers thoughts, though he has no conscious choice in the matter. Say, that, he goes up to a person and touches his snout to their skin, nothing will happen. But if the person voluntarily goes up to him and touches their hand to his snout or head, of their own violation and will, he can read their thoughts. Although, he wont be able to read any thought he wishes. He would only be able to read thoughts that the person as thinking at that very moment. If they are forced to by a third party or by him, he will see nothing. He has no control over it or what he sees; he could see snatches of a thought, a whole sentence, or even an image, if the person is thinking about it.
Race: Night Dragon
Hair: Look at physical description.
Eyes: Look at physical description.
Home Village: None, he hatched alone in the woods and rarely stays at one location for more than a week.
Parents: Unknown, but presumed dead.
Siblings: Celis and her twin brother, Twix. They were separated from Sol's egg the night the meteor hit.
Character Personality: Sol has always been a shy, quiet creature. He rarely speaks, even within his own thoughts, but prefers to commune by feelings and emotions. He's not particularly savage one might say, he just hasn't been around people. He's not anti-social; well, maybe he is to an extent, but if someone wishes to speak to him for one reason or another he will not try to run, although he constantly looks for a way to escape. With the faint memories of his early hours, he is skittish whenever a loud noise sounds near by. He hates that he becomes so...afraid when he is with others, as if they will pounce on him and slit his throat. It is why he avoids contact with others, even other animals. He wants to be more aggressive. Not fierce some or scary, just more firm and aggressive. He has very few opportunities to practice being firm, and when he does try he fails miserable. He thinks of it as a hopeless case, but keeps trying anyway. Truly, once he has friends and they are in danger, he will find the aggressiveness that he pines for now. He is a protective creature, even if that doesn't easily show itself now in the skittishness. Once a friend of his is threatened, he will know that aggressiveness is not simply being firm, it is anger at the being that dares to threaten a friend. But for now he is a very gentle dragon, albeit shy, skittish around people, and quiet to the point of muteness, but willing to help if he needs to. In that he hasn't ever settled in one place one might think he was itching for adventure, but that is quite the opposite. He longs for quiet. As well as this some people, at first meeting, if they didn't notice that he was scared senseless, but instead think he was emotionless. He isn't, he's just learned to hide them well, lest they cause himself or someone close to him discomfort.
Character History: Sol remembers the short time in his egg. The voice of his mother, and a deeper, more lulling voice that had to be his father. He also remembers two younger voices, one male and one female. he didn't know their names, but he knew they were family. And then an explosion of some kind rocked him. He felt nothing beneath him, but even more horrible he heard the agonized cries of his mother and father. He was jolted fiercely when his egg landed among some sharp rocks. Being recently laid by his mother, his eggshell was still dangerously soft. A bit of the shell cracked, allowing a sliver of milky white moonlight to stream through and touch his left eye. It didn't blind him like the sun would have. No, actually he wanted more of the gentle moonbeam. It made him feel safe. If he could have held his breath, he would have. He remained dormant for several days after the accident, or whatever had caused that huge explosion. Or at least it felt like a few days, to him. In reality he actually remained this way for several months, terrified of emerging. Time passed differently for a hatchling in the egg. Finally he felt secure enough to push against his confines. It took several minutes for him to push himself out; he was not very physically strong. He knew he had to find food first, and so he did. That's all he worried about for a time,, filling his belly. And then he began to really remember. From his memories he somehow thought that perhaps his parents were no more. But he had not heard the cries of the other two, the two he didn't know but knew were family. Perhaps siblings? He needed to find them, to know for certain that they were either alive and safe or dead and lost to him. And for his life he has looked for them as well as survived, moving from place to place frequently so he never grew attached to any one thing.
Weapons: Tail, teeth, claws, fire
Likes: A full moon, quiet, people that respect him and leave him well enough alone.
Dislikes: A new moon, bedlam, nosy people
Fear: Loud noises, being found vulnerable on a new moon.
Weakness: On a new moon is when he is at his weakest. His scales are a dull pearly white and he can barely move. He always seeks out a secure spot for a new moon, so he is protected and not vulnerable.
Animal Companions: None
Character's Physical Description: Sol is relatively small, not surprising for his breed. Night dragons are somewhat small creatures, even at full growth. Sol is, very much, in his adolescent years, in both age and size. He is slightly larger than a Fanghur at the moment. He will grow to perhaps the height of a normal yearling dragon, with a few inches added because of his horns. His scales are a glittering white pearl, sending specs of silver spinning whenever the sun hits him while he's moving. His eyes are a deep midnight blue with speckles of gold flecked through the night blue, like liquid lapis lazuli gems. His wings are an iridescent silvery white, complimenting the white pearl of his hide. Across his left iris is a glittering silver mark. It does not cover his whole eye, but rather seems like a partial scar, going from the top right to the precise center of his pupil. It doesn't exactly hinder his sight - he doesn't even know its there at the moment - but on a full moon his eye feels strange, to say the least. His spikes and talons are an iridescent opal, seeming to be several colors instead of just simple white when the sun hits them just right. His teeth are a normal snow white, slightly jutting down from his upper jaw and over his lower. On his face he has several short spikes along his jaw all the way to the crown of his head where two long pure silver horn curl back and then up from his skull, much like a bull's. Outside the horns he has a pair of delicate ears, shaped much like the petal's of a flower. Like the scales around the joints of his wings, the scales covering his ears are soft and movable.
Dreams for the Future: Find the two young voices he did not recognize while he was in the egg.
Reason for Dreams: He thinks they are his siblings and wants to know if they survived whatever the blast was caused by.
Alignment/Side: Neutral
Side Note: I let him know absolutely nothing of his eye or his powers to weaken him in that area. If he knows nothing about what he can do then how can he try to learn how to use them?
