IC: Phalynx awoke in the depths of a cave. A series of stinging-sand-winds in the night had forced her to seek shelter for sleep. Phal had found a cavern in the cliffs near the Stronghold and had ventured inside to find a place to sleep.

Now, as she awoke, she explored the back of the cave further. The hard-red-earth crumbled and disintegrated as she sniffed it. She eventually found a small hole at the very back near the floor. Phal gazed into it curiously. Seeing nothing in the dark depths below, she switched to infrared vision and peered in again. Her eyes lit with gold light as she did so. Phal saw a system of tunnels reaching farther and deeper into the earth. She saw quite a few crystals lining the walls as well.

These caves are very old, Phal thought, interested in the formations below her. Unfortunately, she could not find a way to break through the rock and descend. Phal continued to look, and as she gazed deeper into the caverns, she could see a shape through the walls of many tunnels. The only reason she could see it through all of the rock was because of its immense size. Phal looked as hard as she could, and could just make out a draconic shape lying still in the deep-black-earth.

I wonder if Faefnir knows about this creature, she thought, he probably does. Phal turned to leave, and possibly find a way into the tunnels. She was unaware of the fact that the gleam of gold from her eyes had reflected off of the many crystals below her and bounced through the tunnels until it reached the creature far beneath her, hitting it directly on its closed eyes.

OOC: Of course you can.

A small golden light was hitting Bahamut's left eye. In anger he forced himself up. Provoked from being awoken, Bahamut let out a rageful roar. It's great intesity managed to shake the cave walls themselves. He charged forward his head first with his three great horns and smashed into the side of a wall. The seal that kept him prisoner here pushed him back, but this did not suffice his rampage. Opening his mouth, he launched a giant fireball at the seal. The earth became charred but the seal remained strong.
Growling, Bahamut settled himself back down.

"These walls wont last forever..."

OOC: Oh yeah, I'm joining. As soon as there is an opening (preferably Aeraldi *cough cough*), I'll come to protect you, half-sister! lol

OOC: I will be joining, I just have to come up with a reason to be there. Also have to decide which char to bring, all three could do many different things.

OOC: Hope you guys join soon!

IC: Phal had turned around to investigate the other parts of the cave, when she suddenly felt the hard-red-earth tremble slightly beneath her feet. She snorted in surprise and moved back to the hole near the floor. She knew that something was going on deep in the dark-black-shadows, far into the ground. She used her powers to peer into the gloom below, curious.

Phal saw the same slightly draconic shape as before, but it was stirring. She still couldn't make out exactly what it was, because of all the hard-stone-walls in her way, but it was definately alive and moving. Perhaps it was trying to escape? Phal looked as hard as she could, but the earth in her way was blocking too much of her view. Maybe I could put a few less walls in between myself and whatever that is, just enough to see it more clearly, she thought. She would be careful not to travel down too far, for anything that size that could make the ground shake was bound to be dangerous. She just wanted to see what it was.

Phal backed away and began to analyze the hole for any weaknesses.

OOC: Ok I've decided which character to bring and I know how to bring him in.

Aeraldi flew gently upon the gentle wind of the Hadarac desert, thinking slowly about what had happened and what could happen. About what he could have done different or what he could have done better.
So many things, if only I had thought about them before I had acted then I could have done so much more. At least now if that comes again I will know what I can do better. He thought.
Aeraldi felt he should say something but he had no words to give as he was also thinking about the past and how different things could have been.
Somewhere along the way both of them thought about what would have happened if they had never split apart. A tremor wracked their body then and he lost control. He shuddered in pain within the sky and lost control of his wings, plumetting towards the ground at breakneck speeds. The magic which held them seeped through the cracks between his scales and his body was was in intense agony. The ground rushed up to meet him quickly and before he knew what was happening he impacted the sand, sending a spray of sand around into the air where he landed. He felt the impact break a few bones in his tail, but he was alive. His body was in pain, excruciating pain and Aeraldi had no idea whether it was because of his curse or from the fall.
Ugh... That was not fun. Aeraldi said in pain.
Definitely, can you heal us? Aeraldi said, sharing in the pain.
Maybe, when this pain stops. He said gritting his teeth in pain. Then he noticed someone stepping in the sand around him. Who's there!? He said, trying to fight through the pain in case he had to defend himself.

OOC: Hey Red, long time. But if your going to post, try to stay active, aiight?

OOC: Alright, let Faefnir enter!

Faefnir came out from behind a dune as Aeraldi crashed landed. Easy, brother. It's me. Let me patch you up real quick. After performing the neccessary repairs to Aeraldi, Faefnir helped his smaller, but older, brother from the Ancient World onto his feet. Then the gigantic fifty-thousand-and-two-year-old dragon hugged him. It is good to see you again, but what you brings you here to my domain? Then Faefnir felt the ground shake--he also observed several small avalanches occur on the dunes. Earthquake? No, not possible. We don't get earthquakes out here in the desert. Aeraldi, it seems fate has brought you here for a reason. Care to investigate with me?

Phalynx was investigating the crack when she heard an immense roar from the deep-black-earth. The ground shook with the force of the call, and rocks from the ceiling began to fall. Phal ducked into a crouch and covered her head with a forepaw to protect herself from the rocks. Soon, the stones fell with even greater intensity and completely covered the entrance. Phal stood, legs a little shaky, and gazed at the only way out, now completely blocked.

Phal suddenly heard several scratching sounds far below her, and suddenly a mental cry filled her mind: I am free!!. Phal twisted her head back around to face the crack in the wall. Oh no... whatever that thing is, it doesn't sound friendly, and if it was trapped there, it was probably for a reason, Phal thought anxiously. She turned in a circle, trying to find a way out, but the rock collapse at the tunnel entrance was impassable, and the only other thing she could do was go deeper into the tunnels by widening the crack. But that would lead her closer to that thing. Phal paused, indecisive.

Mesaraih... Fenirexes?? The names echoed within his mind, as if he should remember them but he could not, the pain was too great to concentrate. Then he smelt a familiar scent, the scent of someone extremely large. It said a few words that he didn't catch but then the pain subsided and his thoughts were clear again. He looked up and immediately saw Faefnir, ending his healing spell.
Thank you Faefnir. He said graciously, accepting the hug from the massive dragon.
Ugh... Aeraldi said disgusted. How can you accept help from him? It's just wrong.
He's saved our life as many times as we have saved his, you can at least respect him.
I do respect him but it doesn't mean I have to like whenever we are too weak to help ourselves.
Aeraldi was about to reply when the ground shook beneath their feet and he heard the roar of some unknown beast underneath him.
Maybe you're right Faefnir, fate did bring me here for a reason. He said, suddenly aware of a dark presence below them.
Aeraldi used his eye to look below them to the source of the disturbance and saw not the being responsible but someone much younger. Phaelis, what are you doing here? He wondered.
Aeraldi followed his other side's gaze and saw Phaelis through the piles of rock and sand beneath him. Faefnir, I should tell you that Phaelis is somewhere under us, I'm not sure where. He said, then continued looked for the being responsible.

How did we miss this being? We kept an eye on everything and somehow we missed this? Aeraldi said to his other side.
I'm not sure, maybe we didn't consider it of much consequence. Either way now we learn this being's intentions. Aeraldi said within his mind. He extended his mind towards the dragon tentatively. He listened to his talk with Faefenir and decided not to interrupt, even though he was the more aged.
Don't let it go, tell him! Tell him! Aeraldi said.
No, I do not wish to make this one angry. At least not yet. Aeraldi said back.
Fine, but I will when your time is done. Speaking of, it is getting close. It wasn't a reminder as Aeraldi knew how long he had. It was simply fact.
Aeraldi knew that he had to be quick but he still had to wait for the right moment, it made him nervous.

Bah, if you're the Demon of Dragons then I am truly their creator! You must have heard the legend of the dragon who brought the entire dragon race together, the one that took the hate of centuries old to bring peace to our kind. Aeraldi began, interrupting the conversation. I may be small but I still hold the demons of old within me.

Aeraldi saw his chance then, the chance to find out what this being was made of. Aeraldi's hate filled speech had used the remainder of his time which left Aeraldi to control the body. he pushed though the barriers within their mind and began to assert his control.
Time to go. He said with exitement in his voice.
Aeraldi was distrustful then he realised what he had done, he knew what needed to happen now. His body was started shaking uncontrollably and he felt his control slipping. His scales ran with black and finally, his scales and teeth grew to their appropriate size and he gained the appearance of the black dragons of old. When his body stopped shivering in pain he took a deep breath in and smelt the new sensations that was this new dragon's scent.
It was forced upon us, and although it tears us apart every second of every day I am just glad to be alive! But in order to feel truly alive, I must make sure that every being in existance knows how powerful I am. That includes you, Bahamut. He stretched his claws apart and revelled in the sensations that he had been deprived of for the last few days.
My name is Aeraldi, and there is none other that can fathom the demons that I carry. He said with authority.

OOC: Bahamut laughed once more, You are a fool, speaking as if you were above me. At least my power is my own, I do not rely on the strength of those that have passed.Come then one known as Aeraldi! Show me your power!, Bahamut roared a great battle cry shaking the cave walls. Bahamut was excited, his powers have been long supressed since the seal held him prison. Now that it was gone, he regained everything.
He invaded the minds of everyone except Aeraldi, controling their bodies to move them out of the way. Once they were aside, Bahamut opened his giant maw and a void a fire energy appeared. It began to build up in his mouth with great force till he could hold it no longer. He unleashed its fury with a giant pillar of fire that engulfed Aeraldi and beyond him. It ripped through the cave, to many levels until it reached outside.

After several minutes it had disappated. Dust filled the room, Bahamut eagerly looked at the aftermath. Once it cleared he could se the dragon before him laying on his stomach. Bahamut inspected him closely.
So you live, impressive...nothing has ever survived that attack before.

Bahamut became slightly concerned, even the amount of energy he had was great, the attack drained him greatly. He realized he must have used a large amount as well.

OOC: Sorry about that, I'll change it to say... Well, look at it. Either way, I need to reply to this.

Aeraldi saw the great beast open his maw and take a large breath. There was only one thing that he could have been doing. Aeraldi barely had time to cover his body with his wings before Bahamut released his fire. The sensation was a relief to Aeraldi as the pain encompassed his entire body at once, making his skin tingle and feel alive. It was after a few minutes that Aeraldi began to rethink himself, Maybe I might not live after this. I can barely feel my wings anymore.
If it comes down to it, then I would rather live than die.
The statement from Aeraldi caught Aeraldi by surprise. Was that to say you were going to kill him?
It might have been, or I might have meant that I would run.
Don't insult me, I would rather die then run. Aeraldi said, returning to the situation at hand. He started to panic slightly when he saw the edges of his wings begin to disintegrate. What I wouldn't give for the ability to breathe frost.
When it was finally over, Aeraldi slumped to the ground as the pain from the fire finally caught up with him as he felt the cool air.

He knew he should attack now while he had the chance but his body wasn't responding. When he was able to open his again he tried again to push the pain from his body and move. Aeraldi pushed up from the ground and jumped on Bahamut's head and crawled to his back, then started to claw frantically at his back. Being small has it's advantages, he can't reach me here. His claws dug into Bahamut's back but he knew he had to work harder as his claws were too small to cause enough damage on their own. He looked to Bahamut's wings and bit them as hard as he could, he savoured the taste of Dragon flesh upon his tounge.

Stop ruining my fun, Faefnir! Aeraldi complained. He struggled to be free of Faefnir's grasp. After a minute he stopped as he knew that Faefnir had the upper hand having grasped him. He loathed being stopped during combat and he hated the one that was responsilble for stopping it. Faefnir, you may stop this fight now but there will always be a part of you that will enjoy war as a part of you is still derived from my ancestors. Aeraldi smiled his toothy grin.
I'm not evil, and now you aren't either, I just love war the way we did back when I was born. But then again, you didn't have to fight your own kind every single day just to survive.
Don't... Please don't! Aeraldi pleaded.
No! This had been my burden for too long and I will not be weighed down by it. He said to himself only. Aeraldi looked directly into Faefnir's eyes.
Your primal instincts never told you to kill the one you loved.

I don't care! Aeraldi said shouting, not realising that he had slipped the boundaries of his mind and was sending his thoughts to everyone. We finally learn our past and now all you want to do is forget it!? I won't let our memories control us any longer, they have hurt us far more than anything else. No, they have hurt me the most. Aeraldi's voice softened down and became sorrowful. It wasn't you that killed her, it was me. It was my instincts that told me to kill and every day I have to struggle to make sure that I don't let it happen again.
Aeraldi knew that he could keep certain things from his other side but he never knew he could carry so much guilt without it leaking to him. You, you always knew didn't you?
Yes... I always knew. I can't get rid of the fact that I love to fight, but I can't ignore what I've done either. It's my pain and my joy. He realised then that his mind was not shielded from the others. He regained his usual posture,
And if not for my help our kind would still be fighting umogst itself about colors, which means that none of you would be here talking about it.

IC: Phal watched the exchange between Faefnir and Aeraldi with interest. She overheard the two sides of Aeraldi arguing, and she began to feel sympathy towards the double-sided dragon. He had definately been through a lot. Phal wondered what things she would see in her lifetime.

She stood near the back of the cave still, waiting for the conflict to be resolved. She didn't know what would happen after that, but she began to look around the caves with curiousity, wondering what else could be down here.
