The massive jewel is still shattered at the end of Eldest but if Saphira could somehow fix it like she promised, could energy be stored in it? If it were possible it could contain weeks worth of energy from both eragon and saphira. Even Galbatorix and Mortagh combined would be no match for that much power. Obvously it would be extremely difficult to transport the stone but if the dwarves could find a way, Eragon would have an almost infinite supply of energy in a faceoff against the evil king and his servant. Tell me what you think.

true. i also dont know by what means Isidar Mithrim would be transported, but if eragon and saphira could somehow lure Galby, Shuriken(however its spelled), Murtagh, and Thorn to Farthen Dur, they'd destroy all four in a flourish of magic. the only problem with that is the intricate dwarven network that separates Farthen Dur from the outside world. hmm...

i think that much energy might be enought to kill either murtagh and/or thorn but if one is killed the other will be very easy to kill considering the pain and the fact that half your mind died, you'd either die instantly or your would fall over blinded by pain or meybe even faint. if Isidar Mithrim is a stone than energy can be stored within it. So your definitley right. if they somehow lured murtagh and thorn there they'd be dead. but the labrinth wouldbe a problem...intersting thinking.

ya im not sure if your theory is right or not but i do think that the stone will have some purpose in book three, or else cp wouldnt have made such a big deal about it

the isadar mithrim is a very big gem and could hold masses of power. i rekon it could be enough to kill galby coz once hes killed murtagh would be free.

ok so can someone clear this up for me: does murtagh actually want to serve galby or is he only doing it because he swore he would in the AL. i know that galby made him swear but didnt murtagh say that he really liked galby's plans about extending his empire.

he doesnt want 2 hurt eragon he wants eragon 2 join galby wit him but he is blinded by galbys lies of how he will bring back riders.... so yes he likes galbys ideas i think....

I think Isadar Mithrim would hold a freaking lot of energy, deffinnattly enough to kill galby i think. and then shrurin would either die or be really easy to kill. THink of how big it was. There were a ton of caves big enough to house dragons in it. it was probbably 50 to 70 yards long at least. ya never know how much space the dwarves allowed for the dragons. and then it had to be at lest that high. Eragon lasted an entire day of fightting with twelve stones small enoughi to fit in a belt, and the stone on za'roc's pomel. think you have a point there. but im not sure weather it will play any role at all if any in the next book. it would be amazinglly hard to transport, and to get that uch energy into it would be hard to.

oh yeah. i dont think he will. to hard to move and would take a whole lot of energy, but ya know they wouldnt have to fill it... but still, i dont think the dwarves would allow it out of the city after what happened to it INside the city. theyd be to protective of it. and wather or not they could even consider using it would depend on the new king.

i think it would be kind of cool if eragon used the stone to kill some human troops but if he used the stone's stored energy i would be dissapointed. im hoping that he will learn some really cool secrets about the AL in book three and then use those secrets to fight galby.

How does saphira even know that she will be able to rebuild the stone. she said that she cant control her powers, magic just somehow happens in strange ways and she doesnt understand why or how.
