Just a thought. Murtagh is a rider and so is eragon there Brothers, and there father was morzan. Don't you think Roran might be the next because he is related. What do you think.

roran is part of the family tree but not the line. that is what made my doubts about that.

I like to think that Elva will be a rider, but of the next genereation. I just can not see her with a green dragon. Maybe a purple one (like her eyes) the son/daughter of Saphira and Thorn/greeny? As for Roran, he has no Rider blood (that we know of), as Eragon and Murtagh do.

I also want to see what Elva's parentage in like. She's an orphan, true, but that may be important.
Also, with all that's going on, Elva may not be healed until after Galbatorix is defeated. She may play a major role in that.

Good points, but not only blood is to do with Riders. She may not be made younger, that seems a lot of energy, mayby made to a normal child the same age as her appearance. Character and will determine rider, and Roran seems as strong as any. It seems as if the Empire, being in possetion of the egg will own the last rider in the war

I think after Elva be shielded from misfortune (the true bless eragon meant, not the false curse one) i mean when Eragon undo his spell.. she's be like the luckiest girl on alagaesia... maybe it would play a big role in finding the remaining dragon egg(s) and to get them in varden's possesion.

I just realize one thing... if Elva's going to be a Rider (any dragon), she would have TWO gedwey ignasia!! Is that possible???

If Roran were to get the Dragon it would be a first.

I guess it is possible...or mayby since she already has the power gone through her it wouldnt happen again, like with Eragon whenever he touches saphira.

I don't think Saphira likes Thorn very much, so it is unlikely they would have a baby dragon.

I read on Shurtugal.com at the conversation with CP, surprisingly he said that Elva is NOT on the main plot, he said he didn't really planned Eragon to blessed the child... Idk but does it mean Elva wouldn't play a big role in the book? Well--CP said Elva would play an important part, as with everybody else, but maybe not as a rider or Eragon's love

in the book when eragon told ormis about ellva he said that she was now his responsibilty as if he made her out of wedlock. dose that mean that she is like his dughter

We don't know whether if Eragon take back the spell would the cursed be vanished or converted to a bless.. which mean Elva would still be at her age now instead of her baby form, and she'll be shielded from misfortune. Or the spell would vanish and she'll return to her baby form, but it's more unlikely... because she's useless as a baby, while CP state that she'll play an important role at book 3..

You know this is a good theory, but I do not think her character will be developed that much. I do think she will continue to help in the war effort, but I do not see her as a Rider.

no i don't think so. she is to small. and when the spell is lifted she will have a child's personality again

if cp said she plays an important role, but in main plot, maybe she does something important like help get the egg, find the vault of souls, or help arya accept and admitt her true fellings.
i think the knowledge of arya at his side would strengthen eragon. not destract him.
but i don't see her being a rider or eragons love....

i hope that she is eragons love and the next rider

that way eragons life finally takes a turn for the better
