Erais couldn't help but start laughing. "Funny you should mention that...he actually has." She said still laughing a little. "He really does like sleeping, though a little too much." Her eyes were alight with merriment as she looked at Arden who was making sounds, that almost sounded like snoring, at least for a dragon.

"Its not as easy as I wish it was. Most of it was when he started to hit tall trees that finally woke him up. He's figured out how to shut his mind of, per se, while sleeping." She said, still laughing at the memory. "It was more amusing then scary at the time, now its just funny." Her laughter rang out and she was glad that for once it was laughter, instead of something else.

Erais finally quieted down. The clouds were starting to disappear, even though it had stopped raining a while ago. The sun was shining dully against the sky, but even in its dullness, it erupted a brillant rainbow that crossed through the sky, taking up one end, then crossing to the other. Erais was in awe as the beauty of it struck her.

Erais marveled at the rainbow, in awe at its simplistic beauty. An idea struck her and she instantly missed the sight after she looked away. She smiled and looked over at Mesaraih. "Ever wondered what it would be like to touch one?" she asked him, her eyes glinting happily.

"Well of course, why else would I mention it?" she asked him with a smile. She looked up at the rainbow again, which seemed to become more vibrant as more light had access to it. "It not him falling asleep that I'm worried about," she said while laughing. "Its waking him up." She nodded towards where he was, still fast asleep.

"Depends," Erais said while thinking over the multiple times she'd had trying to get him up. "It was easy at first, but then he figured out how to block my thoughts out, so then I'd fake a panic attack. That one worked for a long time, but now he's figured it out basically. So I have to come up with a new idea every couple times. Sometimes, if we're traveling hard and he knows he has to be up, he'll get up. If he knows I'm safe, like right now, he'll sleep the whole day if I can't get him up." She explained while laughing.

Erais looked at Mesaraih curiously, he seemed, slightly uncomfortable. "I don't know. Maybe we can both try to wake him up, it might work." She said looking over at Arden. Her curiosity burned her and she couldn't keep her mouth shut. "What's that matter?" she asked him.

Erais looked at him carefully, this wasn't just going to go away. "What is it, you know you can tell me." She said, wishing he would tell her. "Okay, so, d'you have any ideas, I'm running low." She chuckled, Arden was really very unique. A thought crossed her mind and she instantly threw it out the window.

Erais thought about it for a moment. "It might work, but I think Fenixeres would have to kill another tree to do it." She said while looking at Fenixeres hopefully. "Though I doubt Arden will be too happy knowing he was woke just so we can see if we can touch the rainbow." She said with a small smile. Arden really wouldn't be at all happy. He'd probably think it frivalous stuff, and that they should be more like dragons.

Erais jumped three feet in the air. She had been completely oblivious to the fact of Fenixeres walking over to Arden, the sheer volume of his roar had scared her senseless. Her eyes were wide as she nearly fell over from fright, her heart beat was erratic and her breathing heavy. DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!! She shouted into his mind.

Arden was sleeping peacefully, unbeknowest to what was going on. It wasn't until someone roared loudly, very loudly, hext to his face that he woke up. Instantly he was angered and lashed his muscled tail out, hitting Fenixeres hard in the side. I swear, do that again, and I'll hurt you. He growled at Fenixeres threateningly.

Arden glared at Fenixeres before he stretched. No, it's okay, just give a better warning next time. Otherwise, next time I might have heart attack. Erais said, still trying to calm her thudding heart. What favor? Arden asked. When he asked, Erais felt childish now for her request of touching the rainbow. Well, we want to see if we can touch the rainbow before it fades. Erais said slightly bashful.

Erais shot Mesaraih a glare as he laughed. "Not funny," she grumbled. Arden shrugged his shoulders, or what would be shrugging for a dragon. Ah well, lets hurry then. Its already starting to fade. Arden said motioning to the rainbow which wasn't as brilliant as before. It looked more like faded glory now. Still holding beauty, just a bit faded. "Then lets hurry." Erais said and leapt onto Ardens back.

Arden took off to the sky, as they came closer to the rainbow, it seemed to only get more brilliant and full. Erais was entranced as Arden circled it a few moments before coming to stop in mid air right before it. She'd never imagined it could be this beautiful, it held her completely captivated as its brilliance increased with the suns rays hitting it. Each color was like a strand of jewels cascading across the sky, so intricately intwined that it seemed to never end. All her worries seemed to slide down the rainbow and down to the earth, where they just disappeared.

Erais didn't dare touch it, too afraid it might just disappear on her if she did. So instead she watched Mesaraih reach out to touch it, not sure what would happen; though she doubted much could happen if you touched a rainbow. Maybe you'd be granted any one wish, yes, that would be nice, but she doubted it. She could only stare captivated as he continued to stretch out to touch it.

Erais felt herself snap out of the dream like trance she had been in. She watched as Mesaraih plunged his whole hand into the rainbow. Erais reached her hand out as well, knowing that nothing bad would happen. Instead of putting her hand in it, she simply stroked it, surprised to find that drops of dew stuck to her hand, causing it to cool down and become very wet.

Erais felt a smile come for her face as she watched Mesaraih and Fenixeres enter the rainbow. It was an odd sight, that much she could say. It was strange to see them become fully wet almost instantly, as though buckets of water were dumped on them. There was no indication of that however, they just looked wet. "Cold?" she asked Mesaraih lightly.

Yes, I'm sure. I don't exactly want to be soaked through to my bones. You go ahead and stay wet. Though I will laugh when you get sick. Erais said with a slight smirk as she laughed at the sight of them. They certainly looked worse then a wet cat.

Erais watched him get colder and colder as a slight wind picked up. "Mesaraih you are going to get sick, come out of there!" she said with slight humor. "Just being resistent against it won't prevent getting sick by itself. Why are you being so stubborn about it?" she asked him curiously as Arden continued to stay in the same position in the air. "You're getting cold, and sick. Be smart like me," she said with a teasing tone. "And come out of there so you can dry off."

Erais was caught by surprise, and therefore drenched in a whole lot of water. She gasped sharply at the sudden cold and shivered slightly. "That was uncalled for," she said as the cold seeped into her dry skin. Erais shivered again, it was rather cold. "If I get sick..." she warned him as a chill started to set in her bones. Arden began to drift back to the ground, though the wind only making the cold worse on Erais.

"No, I just don't want to be cold." Erais snapped at him as she shivered slightly. "Oh sure, that's easy for you to say since you aren't soaking wet." She said and began to laugh as Mesaraih sniffed slightly. Though her laughing fit turned into a few sneezes and she stopped. Getting an idea, she walked over to him. "Well it was cold enough for you to get sick, that's obvious, but now I'm getting sick thanks to you. I had already told you I didn't want to get wet, yet you drenched me." She said a little upset, but hugged him tightly, getting him as wet as she was. Though she didn't let go, he deserved to be wet.

"See, now we're both sick." Erais said letting go of him, but punching him in the arm. She sniffled slightly as another sneeze escaped. Arden's belly rumbled lowly in what Erais had come to recognize as a laugh. She glared back at him, though wouldn't be able to get him sick. You both are so fragil. You have pulled through the toughest of battles, yet you get sick so easily. He said with an amused expression. It took quite a lot to get a dragon sick, and they rarely did, if at all.

Erais rolled her eyes at him. "Whimp," she muttered and walked over to Arden. She sat against his hot belly, hoping to warm up as the sky grew dark, the rainbow fading. "I don't care whether or not you're ready to admit it, but you're getting sick. So find a warm spot so you don't get a bad chest cold." Erais said with a yawn as she curled tighter against Arden.

Ooc - Well the fact that we have about 43 pages worth of content does make it seem like it's a little too late, but I don't care. I'm sort of out of idea's at the moment, so I'm fine with it. Red?

Ic - Erais' smile instantly faded. "Mesaraih you are not getting sick!" she screeched while getting to her feet. She walked over to him and immediately missed the warmth as her hands shook slightly. "I swear if you don't sit near some heat I'll knock you out and make sure that you do." She hissed dangerously at him.

Erais looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Mesaraih I'm serious! You may be one of the strongest fighters I know, but you're still human and prone to diseases. You are more then welcome to go jump in a river, but I'm knocking you out after that and setting you next to a fire." She said as she began to shiver from the cold that was hitting her skin. "Please," she asked him with a slightly pouty face, hoping he'd give in.

IC- Daidrea was taking a break from traveling all night. He sighed, "I guess the trail is cold after all. Wish the empire would quit moving." He looked around as he was looking into the sky. It was cold and it only seemed to get colder.
Memories poured into his mind, he thought about Erais and Mesaraih. I wonder what happened to them...I havent seen them in so long. Especially you...Erais.
His eyes shot open, he sensed something a good distance away, it was familiar. "Maybe it's one of them.." He couldnt stand waiting, but he thought to himself not to go after them directly, he would just go close enough nearby to be sure that it is them.
After a while, he was close enough but he was unable to tell where they are. He remained calm and silently walked around, pretending to be just passing through the area.
I really hope it is you...

"Yes, very," Erais said as she was shaking quite a bit now. She hurried back over to where Arden was and sat right against his hot belly. He pulled his wing over her so it would trap the heat and hopefully warm her up, as well as dry her off. Someone's nearby. He told her. I know, but let them come to us. I'm not about to let you go, I do not want to be cold again. She spoke to him. Even in her mind, her words were slightly jumbled as the shaking was dying.

From the combined heat on top of the bitter cold, Erais was getting sleepy. She knew that whoever was coming wouldn't be much of a threat against two fully grown dragons. She let her eyes slip close as the heat encased her body, helping to prevent the shivers, but not the chill that had already had a chance to settle in her bones.

Arden moved his wing further around Erais so she'd be completely concealed from this stranger. She obviously wasn't in any condition to have a confrontation. He tried providing her with more warmth, but he could still sense she was getting sick. Arden didn't dare move, for fear of losing the heat that was trapped in the small area. Don't come any closer stranger, Arden growled threateningly as he was becoming protective of Erais.

Arden hissed darkly at the stranger. Be careful how you act, it might be the last thing you ever do. His tone was dark as he shifted his wing around to seal Erais completely off from the cold air. It was certainly hot in the small bubble, but she was still asleep. I will tear you to pieces, he threatened eyeing Mesaraih, wondering what he was doing.

The striking of metal against metal startled Erais. She quickly sat up, and after a few moments of figuring where she was, she shoved Arden's wing away. She regretted it slightly, seeing as it let most of the warm air escape, but now she was fully dry. She stood up to see Mesaraih battling with a stranger, she cocked her head slightly. Her gaze was fixed on the stranger, whoever it was felt very familiar, but there were key things that were missing. Arden stood up on his feet and walked over to the two sparing. He put his tail between them and flicked so they were sent in opposite directions. Unless you work for Galbatorix, stop fighting. No energy should be wasted unless it has to. He said with a glare at the two. He still glanced at the stranger wearily, he didn't like him, but he wasn't going to make any assumptions yet.

Erais had watched Arden flick the two apart. Her mind was in a slight haze from the sickness. She couldn't believe her eyes as she watched the stranger uncover himself. She honestly hadn't expected to see him, she was pretty sure she was delusional and didn't really want to admit he was there. She often missed him but kept those emotions locked up so they wouldn't cloud her judgement. Now she was sure her mind was toying with her. She continued to stare at him intensely, trying to figure if he was real or just a figment of her imagination. Arden glanced at her confused. Daidrea? the thought wasn't really directed anywhere, it was just a thought, but seemed to make it to him. Erais still couldn't decide whether or not he was real.

I guess you could say that. Arden said to him, not sure how Daidrea would react to knowing why she was having doubt. Mesaraih got soaked when Erais had advised him he'd get sick. He ended up getting her wet and combined with the chilly wind, she getting pretty sick. I think she's trying to decide whether you're just some sick joke from her imagination, or you're honestly right here. She's missed you quite a bit since we seperated from you, even though she won't admit it. Arden explained as Erais stood there, still puzzling over it.

Erais was a little shocked to see him come up to her. Surely her exhausted mind couldn't really have come up with this cruel stunt. Shocked jolted her as she felt him put his hand on her shoulder, well, he was definately real. She was too surprised to move, but was wondering why he was walking away from her. "Wha..?" she began but it turned into a hacking cough. Idiot! I just told you she's missed you and you walk away!? Arden growled dangerously at Daidrea. "Daidrea, wait!" Erais managed to get out as she walked over to him. She got to him and hugged him, fully acknowledging how much she'd missed him.

Erais couldn't help but smile slightly when he hugged her back. She did keep in mind that Mesaraih was still only a few feet from them and took a few steps back from Daidrea when all she wanted was to be with him right now. "Actually, alot has happened. It's just too long of a story to sum up, I'm just glad that you're here. Though I'm sorry in advanced if I cough or sneeze on you." She said while glaring slightly at Mesaraih, giving him full blame for her getting sick.

Erais smiled softly at him before he spoke again. "Like I'd wander away from a possible source of warmth? I highly doubt it," she said in a slightly sarcastic voice. He left to the trees and Arden walked over to her, she curled up against his warm belly as the sun was practically gone. She didn't want to get in worse shape, and the warmth from Arden was welcomed. She just hoped Daidrea would be back quickly. She glanced over at Mesaraih who had stayed silent in the exchange, but she ended up in a coughing fit and had to look away from him to hopefully stop coughing.

Erais' eyelids felt heavy as she was nestled against Arden, he was asleep a long time ago, but she hadn't been able to sleep yet. She wanted to, she needed to, but she wanted to wait for Daidrea. It was longer then she thought, and by then she was barely able to keep her mind awake. Slowly she sat up and looked over at him, she doubted she could make it that far before collapsing in sleep. Come sit with me? she asked him, too tired to use her voice.

I know, but-I...wake, Erais was now beginning to struggle with her mind. Soon she couldn't keep her eyes opened and she slipped into sleep, glad that she had the warmth of Arden, and glad that Daidrea was with her again. She just wished she wasn't sick and not as delirious. In his sleep, Arden shifted his wing so most of the cold was blocked off from getting in the small make shift shelter that his wing and body provided for the two.

OC- I think now it would be best to wait for red, we are kinda getting far ahead.

Erais woke up after sometime, though her thoughts had already been working long before she was conscious. It had definately been a surprise to see Daidrea again, but a good surprise at that. It had been quite a long time since she'd seen him and it was kind of strange. Especially since they were all together again. After a few moments of reminiscing, she decided to go find Mesaraih. It took a while, but she finally found him near a stream. "Good morning!" she said with a smile.

Erais couldn't think of anything to say for a while. Even though they'd been traveling together for a while now, it suddenly felt a little awkward. As her mind worked way too hard on thinking of something interesting to say, Arden touched her consciousness with a worried thought. I fear we aren't alone, he told her. Erais stoped her thought process and let her mind wander. Sure enough, they weren't. "Can you feel that?" she asked Mesaraih quietly. Whoever it was, was daunting and very powerful...likely not allies.
