I like the idea, but I have a little suggestion. Why dont you make an update that prevents you from writing 1-9 words?

prevent us from writing 1-9 words?? I don't think that's the main problem... What cause ppl spamming are...
(1). They feel too comfortable here
(2). They are strong-headed (can't teach them anything!)
(3). They don't realize that they are spamming (because they don't have idea what is spamming)

A dinosaur (I assume this is an employer that "programed" to monitoring and shoot and fry and eat spammer) will be too 'cruel' because as an employer who's got "programed" they don't have heart or feelings,, which is, I believe, not-suitable with the concept of a Big Family on Saphira Forums.

Imagine if the dinosaur eats people number (3), the worst scenario is that they'll get shock and leave and told anyone they know (on and off the computer) that this forum are sucks.

I think it would be better if we make sure that every newbies aware of our rules. The method could be anything.. (I'll think later) just make sure they have to know first what spam really is, so they are not going to spam.

I mean real dinosaurs that eat the real people

Ah... charr killer, you have the right idea there... i mean, why spend so much money just for aesthetic effect? as long as the spammers are effectively removed, that is all that matters. In fact we should not worry about this for some centuries. When Artificial Intelligence has been firmly implanted and we have gained control of robots, all we need to do is send some hundreds of terminators back to present time and they should do the job.

Or else we go with the dinosoars lol.

I've got An idea for spaming.

like the dino idea put one on each person then if they are spaming only to get saphira coins or high post # you can click on theirs in the post(s) deleting it and all others that say the same thing in that thread and taking a # of coins\posts from ther profile. that way spaming will acualy be doing the opposite of what they want. Also you could put up somthing that blocks them from posting if no one else has posted in the same thread for at least 10 mins.

the piont of what you think is spaming, is not to gain coins, but they just dont have a lot to say about the certain subject. so, if they try to post less than 8 words dont allow them to post at all.

what are the coins even for? we just do these short posts, because its easyer then saying it the long way.

and its spam, we have other ways of punishment as well you know.

This isn't really on topic, but people get banned when they flame admins.

I thought spams are worse than double posts...!

People who did double posts usually 'do not' know about the rules yet, and their double posts is not consist spam (usually).. they simply split their post each post has a different idea.

Peeps... I thought it's already a solution if you you could please improve the quality of your posts.. That's it! Quality!! Spams will vanish so as the dinosaurs.

just becouse they dint dodge the astroyed fast enough isnt a reason to remind them that their extinked.

Just want to share..

I'm a member of a local forum which has THOuSaNDs of members. As long as I'm there (about couple months), I haven't see any spams !!

As I said before, ppl spam because 1) they don't know what spam is or 2) they want an easy way to increase their rank. Why they want to increase their rank? Because some kind of "pride" they probably about to experience.

This local forum I join, apply a funny way to prevent this kind of "pride". The higher the rank, the ugglier the rank names!! Lol it's so funny seeing ppl with lots of stars but their name are weird and not elite at all..!!

Well... just a share..

Lol, on wyrdaforums (the little one that Da Charr Killer made) there's a special rank especially for spammers lol
