This is the Prelude to a story I was trying to write but never finished. It involves my RP character's (Kale Hinote Karite) past. Somethings are the same, others are different. If you've read the history part of my profile (which is doubtful) then you will notice them.

PRELUDE

A Time Before.

It is a grave time in the Reaper home realm of Dedarath. A war has broken out between a group of reapers and the Empire. It has been ten very long, and very bloody years since this war began. Every moment since then has been filled with blood, discord, and chaos. Innocent bystanders have lost their lives in the cross fire countless times. And now just when all seems lost, and the radicals who call themselves Reapers of Fate; or RoF, will win…everything gets worse.
“Make the final push! Victory is within our grasp!” Went the war cry of the RoF leader Gres Dorndo. “We will finally have succeeded in our ten year quest of a new Empire!” He continued. As he shouted war cries and rally-calls his men killed and slaughtered anyone and everyone who stood before them. Women, children, pets, anyone. Anyone who dared to defy Gres Dorndo and his mighty army. There was a time before this when things were peaceful and everyone was happy. When there were no war cries and the terrorized shrieks of innocent civilian slaughter. This was a time ten years prior. It all started when Gres made a mistake that cost him his career as a Royal Guard to King Kane Hinote Karite and Queen Reana Hinote Karite. He had tried to take their son, Rathon Hinote Karite, and sell him to trades for a hefty profit. When the King and Queen found out they were outraged, and he was lucky to leave with his life.
Gres, of course, saw no wrong in what he was doing. So he naturally began to fester a hatred for the Reaperic Empire and all that it stood for. Eventually, he found others that felt the same as he did, and their numbers grew. They met in the shadows of the Empire, unknown and unseen by anyone. But, if you were unlucky enough to catch a glimpse of even one of them, it would be the last thing you ever saw. After some time he had enough people under him start an all out war, which is exactly what he did.
While all this was going on just outside the palace gates, an equal amount of confusion was going on inside. “It’s not safe here any more! We must leave! Please sir, I’m begging you!” came the pleading voice of Jagger Vyuon, Royal Guard to Rathon Hinote Karite and his unborn brother Kale Hinote Karite. “No! A King does not run away from his kingdom! Especially in times of war!” said King Kane. “Go, and take Reana and Rathon to Earth. They will be safe until it is time to return.” He said. “No! Kane please! Let me stay, I can fight!” Queen Reana’s voice of pleading. She had the same ideals about a Queen leaving her kingdom in times of peril as the King did. “No, you must go. Once they breech the front gate I will make short work of them, don’t worry. You’ll be back so fast it will be as though you never left.” He said, and kissed his wife. “Now go! They will be here any moment!” He said to Jagger. “Yes my King, come my Queen. We must get you and Young Rathon and Kale to safety.” He said, gently tugging her arm “Alright, come Rathon.” She says to a young boy of about 14, who follows his mother and Jagger quietly.
“Please hurry, in here!” Jagger was standing beside a book case, or what looked like a book case. In reality in was an illusion made by one of the four Seals: Hell Seal, Heaven Seal, Reaper Seal, and Chaos Seal. Each seal has a different specialty. Hell seals are used for destruction, particularly by fire, but depending on what runes you use depends on the effect. Heaven seals are used more for healing or curing diseases, although they can be destructive as well. Reaper seals enable users to boost their power, summon creatures or transform into their dominate state, which means a demonic reaper would turn into a full demon. Chaos seals are the most dangerous seal they is, because it is the most random but the most powerful. When you use a Chaos seal then you are willing to give up something in return, whether it be blood, money, or your life, but any time you use a Chaos seal and it works; your oppoenent is almost certainly dead.
After Reana and Ratho nwent threw the book case they emerged into a large circular room with one door, the book case. “You both know the drill, please hurry.” Jagger said. There were seven light green circles along the edges of the dark stone floor. Rathon went to one and Reana to another and Jagger stood in the middle, between them. He began muttering and making motions in the air in front of him. “Heaven Seal!” First he made a circle, a band of white light appeared where he drew. “Portal open!” He quickly made an upside triangle followed by several numeric runes and a dot in the center. The Seal exploded into light and floated down onto the floor. Once there it turned into a portal that led to Earth. “Alright my Queen, you first, then Rathon, then myself.” Jagger said. Reana nodded and jumped in, followed by Rathon. They waited on the other side, but Jagger never came and the portal closed. “Jagger? Mom where’s Jagger?” Rathon asked, in a quiet tone. “I don’t know sweetie, I don’t know.”
Back at the Castle, Gres and the RoF had just broken threw the front gate when they jumped. “Gres! I knew you were bad news the moment I hired you as a guard! You had shifty eyes, and only theifs and murders have shifty eyes the likes of which you had! Good thing too! Because you turned out to be both!” Kane yelled down from a balcony over looking the court yard and front gate. Gres just sneered and yelled back up, “Ha! I’m glad you fired me! Now I can take your precious Kingdom from you! Along with your sons and wife!” Kane growled in anger. “You won’t get the chance” He muttered to himself. Turning he went back inside and Gres made a move on the front Palace doors. He never got to them. So soon as he was within a few yards of the large black wood doors, they burst open. “Like I said, you’ll never get the chance.” In the doorway stood Kane, holding a finished Chaos Seal. It was glowing a deep purple and contained the numeric runes 9-9-9. This was the most destructive Chaos Seal there was. It would certainly destroy Gres’ entire army, but at a steep cost. Using the Seal would cost the King his life, but it was a price he gladly paid in return for the safety of his children. However, Chaos Seals are funny in the way they work. When he used it sent forth a mighty blast of pure energy that vaporized Gres and his army in seconds. It return the King died on the spot. However; The Seal decided that the King wasn’t enough so, even though she was a Realm away, the Queen died in the very same instance. Now, Chaos Seals are funny in the way they do things. It decided that it wanted just the King and Queen, but not the unborn Kale. So, rather than killing him with his mother, the seal did something that had never happened before. It took Kale out of his mother. No one is exactly sure how, but in the flash of light that signaled the death of the Queen, Kale was born.
So now, seeing as the King and Queen was dead, and both Royal sons were now safe on Earth, it was Jagger’s responsibility to see to the reconstruction of the Empire. He would do this for the next few years as Rathon and Kale grew up on Earth, alone. Or so they thought. See, there was someone else in the room the night they teleported, and her name is Sheanra Muro. A friend of Rathon’s. After they had gone threw and Jagger left, she jumped into the portal before it had closed. She had made it threw in time to see Reana die and watch as Rathon carried the new born baby Kale away to seek shelter.
