Mel's bio got accidentally erased, so here it is again, and DS4 I may have accidentally changed her a little, so you may need to look over her again.

Age:- 21

Gender: - Female

Skills: Scythe: Melantha trained with the sword from the age of four to the age of nine, and gave it up when Cirana showed up, and began to train her with the scythe. Using the scythe came naturally to Mel, and soon she had mastered it, and was perfecting her techniques, and coming up with new ones. After Cirana's death, Mel trained even harder to perfect, and create. The disadvantage of having a scythe is that parrying blows from other weapons becomes more difficult than with a sword, and it doesn't have a long enough range to take out a bowman.

Healing: Melantha is good at healing, being able to heal the smallest bruises, to the worst wounds. The only thing Melantha cannot heal is death. Healing takes very little energy from Melantha, thanks to her angelic powers, and those of her mother. Mel dislikes this ability, but still uses it because Eliora dislikes killing, and often requests Mel to heal others, or hurt creatures they may fin in their wanderings.

Intimidation: One of Melantha's favorite powers to use is intimidation. Melantha can intimidate most people with her stare, causing them to submit to her will quickly. There are some who are too strong for that type of intimidation, and for those, Mel adds a little magic. There are still more who are above magic enhanced intimidation - those being the ones who believe none are superior to them. When Mel runs into that kind she goes to attacking their minds.

Wings: Melantha began training her wings before she could even walk. As a result they got quite strong. Melantha is able to fly faster than a dragon her own age, although she can use her wings for no more than three hours at a time, and that is stretching their limit by a good bit! Melantha usually only uses her wings for an hour at a time at most, and then rests them two hours before using them again.

Mind attack, and protect: Melantha began training her mind at the age of five, and as a result became quite good at attacking with it. Melantha is good at breaking down the defenses of the mind, and controlling the one who's mind she has entered, or having therm give her the information she wants. Melantha can protect hers, and Eliora's minds at the same time from multiple attacks, her defense being one that harms the attacker if they go against for too long. When using her mind, Mel is not able to concentrate on anything but her mind attack, or protect, and can not do anything physically.

Home Village: - An outpost on the edge of Do Weldenvarden

Parents: - Adoptive mother: Lucienne (dead) Birth parents, Raiden, and Naomi. (Both were originally Angel-elves, but Naomi died in Childbirth, and Raiden became a complete elf, he died about 10 - 12 years later.

Siblings: - Adopted sisters: Calantha, and Eliora (Eliora is her half sister)

Character Personality: Melantha is very serious, and rarely smiles. When she does, it's a smile that never reaches her eyes. Melantha often wears a cold, hard expression on her face which scares others away. Even when Mel smiles, her eyes are always cold, and stone hard. Melantha hates being close to anyone, and rarely makes friends. The only person she likes being around at the moment is Eliora. Melantha is close to emotionless as an anyone can get, allowing herself to only feel fear, and nothing else - not even anger, hate, or love. Melantha does have emotions, she just refuses to feel them, and the only one she allows herself to feel - or rather makes herself feel, she displays to none. Melantha never gets proud of doing everything perfectly, and in fact thinks that she never does good enough. Mel often drives herself to do better than anyone else, and is still never satisfied when everyone is far behind her. What keeps Melantha going is fear. Fear that she won't be good enough, fear that she won't succeed in training Eliora. Fear that she won't find someone to bond with, fear that she will find someone to bond with. Melantha always finds a reason to be afraid, because it's pretty much the only thing that lets her know that she is still alive. Melantha knows that if she continues to embrace her fears, and seek out others than her heart will turn to True Black, and she will become a fallen angel with no hope of return. Melantha is afraid of becoming a fallen angel, but she's afraid of not becoming one...

Character History: A cry of pain filled the air as a woman tried hard to give birth to her forbidden child. If she had been anything other than an Angel-elf, and her mate the same, then this child would not have been forbidden. The law for an angel given the qualities of an earth-dweller was to have no children, or they would die giving birth. If Naomi had only been an elf blessed with Angel qualities than this would not be forbidden... Naomi's mate had already lost his angelic powers from not bonding with anyone, and had become an elf. The Naomi cried out in pain again. She had hoped to make it to an elf inhabited area before giving birth, or at least survive giving birth long enough to give her child to someone to raise. But both things were now impossible. Suddenly Naomi heard singing, and the cry of a baby. Naomi called out through her parched throat. "Who's there?" suddenly an elf woman with a newborn baby maybe an hour old, came into the clearing. Naomi cried out again. The elf woman sat beside her - she was obviously the new mother of the infant she carried. "I am Lucienne." the elf moan said pouring energy into Naomi. "Thank you, Lucienne." Naomi whispered. "Please be the mother of my child." Naomi pulled out a small scroll. "And please give her this once she can read..." Naomi cried out once more, and this time her daughter came out as if she had been waiting for Lucienne's arrival. "Naomi held her daughter in her arms as she felt her last energy, and power, leaving. "Goodbye, Melantha. Never forget your heritage..." With those words Naomi the Angel-Elf breathed her last in the world of earth-dwellers.

Melantha was a quick learner, and at the age of five was able to read her birth mother's scroll. It explained who her father was, and who her mother was, as well as everything Melantha needed to know about her race. Melantha and her sister Calantha were described as perfect children until they were nine years old, and they were best friends to each other. Melantha was always perfect with whatever she did, never making a mistake, but she never looked down on Calantha for it, who could never seem to do anything right. Mel was always there to lend a hand when her sister needed it, and never let anything get in the way of spending time with her sister. Still despite the fact that Melantha did everything perfectly - or perhaps because she did everything perfectly - no one but Lucienne, and Calantha accepted her as one of the elves of the tiny outpost on the edge of Du Welvenvarden. Her feathers helped with that as well. She was not like an elf who had chosen to change with magic, as she had been that way since birth, which caused the elves to doubt that she was really one of them. One day when Mel was nine years old, a newborn elf child joined their family. Lucienne's husband had died long ago, so it was now just Lucienne, Calantha, Melantha, and now Eliora. For some reason Mel felt closer to Eliora than Calantha, and began spending more time with the baby than she had with Calantha. During that time a woman with feathers like Melantha's - only black - called Cirana showed up, and befriended Mel. Over the course of the year, Cirana began to teach Mel everything that she knew, telling her at the same time that Eliora was the daughter of Raiden - Mel's father, and herself (Cirana). Because Raiden was a complete elf, Eliora was only half Elf-Angel, and therefore could only reveal her feathers, and wings after choosing to become an Elf-Angel for the rest of her life. Cirana requested that Mel tell Eliora about it, and to teach how to be a good Elf-Angel in the event that she chose to become one. Mel quickly agreed, and soon had learned everything Cirana had to teach...

The year had quickly passed, bringing the time when an old, blind elf who could sense evil, would come to the small outpost - which he did every 25 years to check on the elves. One by one all the elves went before him until only Cirana was left. As soon as she walked in the tent, the old elf ordered the others to restrain, and capture her, saying she was nothing but evil, and that she must be executed immediately. Because Mel had been such good friend's with Cirana, she was brought before the elf again, but was proclaimed completely uncontaminated. Melantha hadn't heard about Cirana's execution until she, and all the other elves 10 and over were called together to witness it. Mel was horrified when she realized what was about to happen, and would have tried to stop it, had she not been restrained by a magic barrier. Cirana looked up at Mel, and mouthed two words to her in a language only spoken by Angels, an Earth-dweller~Angels. "Everything's yours." Melantha understood what Cirana meant, and watched helplessly as her friend, and tutor was beheaded. Later that night Mel sneaked to the area where she saw the elves burying Cirana, and waited until they had left before moving the dirt with magic, taking Cirana's armor, scythe, cloak, and scroll, and using magic to make something to forever preserve Cirana's body. This done, Mel placed dirt over the tomb, and went home.

Melantha continued to live day, by day, only getting closer to Eliora, and becoming more distant each day to everyone else. The old, blind, elf was leaving when he sensed something evil in the outpost. He told the elves to remove the 'evil weapon' that Cirana had had, and to destroy them with magic before the evil spread. The elves went, and to their surprise, they saw the scythe, armor, and cloak were missing, and a protective crust was around Cirana. The elves quickly ran back to the village, and told the old elf. "I fear the young one may have taken them." he said grimly. "Take them from her before it is too late." The elves went to Lucienne's house, and ordered Mel to come out. To their surprise Melantha's wings were no longer white, but a light gray color. The elves wondered when that had changed, never noticing it before. They didn't notice that Melantha was wearing Cirana's armor, and cloak, and holding her scythe until Mel leaned on it. The elves demanded that Mel give them up, but she refused. By this time the entirety of the citizens of the outpost had gathered, and the old, blind elf was close as well. "You destroyed my only friend, and I will never forgive any of you!" Mel said in a cold wrath. "I will destroy you all!" the elves were too shocked at Melantha's words to stop her when she sprang towards the old, blind elf and killed him with one blow. "MELANTHA! NO!" Lucienne half shouted, half screamed. "You mustn't!" Mel smiled coldly, and grimly. "It's too late." she said, spreading her wings, and flying away.

For the next 10 years Melantha trained hard to be able to take out all the elves where she had come from. Finally the day came when she felt strong enough to destroy them without a trace of them having ever been there. Mel finally returned, and found that her timing could not have been more perfect. Eliora was sitting on a log, wishing out loud that everyone was dead, because she was treated so badly after Lucienne had died, and Calantha had left to search for some best friend from long ago. Mel smiled. It seemed Eliora didn't remember her, but that would be to Mel's advantage. Eliora went home, and that night Mel destroyed everyone there except Eliora. The sun rose on Melantha, splattered in blood, her wings nearly black now. Eliora walked outside, and looked around in shock. "What happened?" she said, half dazed... Mel looked at her. "You wished that they would die, and I, an angel of death answered your request." Melantha said. Eliora looked at Melantha in awe. "Just because I wished for this?" she asked. Melantha smiled at her. "That is not the only reason." she said, "The other reason is because you are an angel, but these elves tried to destroy the evidence a long time ago." Eliora was gaping now as she asked in disbelief, "I'm an angel?" Melantha nodded. "If you want to be an angel, just say you wish to be one forever." Melantha said, remembering what Cirana had said would bring out Eliora's angel qualities. "I...I Want to be an angel... Forever!" Eliora said. Melantha smiled, a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Eliora gasped in surprise as she felt wings start to grow, and feathers right above her ears. "I'm an angel..." she gasped. Melantha smiled again. "Yes. You are." she said victoriously.

Melantha took Eliora from that place, and began training her. Melantha knew she only had a limited time to train Eliora, and was determined to finish before she was bonded, or died at the age of 25. Melantha knew her adventures were just beginning.

Weapons: - Her dark grayish silver scythe made of the same thing as Riders' swords.. It was made for her mother, and it feels like it was made for her. (See Picture)

Weakness / Fear: - Mel's biggest weakness is she has a hard time killing those Eliora doesn't really want dead, and therefore she often holds back in fights. Mel has a bunch of self-induced fears.

Animal Companions: - None

Character's Physical Description: Melantha is five foot, and one inch - she stopped growing at the age of ten. Her hair is mid-length, falling to the base of her wings. Melantha has about five feathers above/behind each ear, as well as two smaller ones on each wrist, and ankle. Melantha's eyes are slanted like a cats, and her pupils are elongated like a cat's. Melantha wears a black tunic, black leggings, and black boots under her dark armor, and black cloak given to her by Cirana. There is a symbol engraved on the armor - or there used to be. It's impossible to tell what it used to be. Mel also wears a pair of black feather earrings.

Dreams for the Future: - To complete Eliora's training. To find someone to bond to.

Reason for Dreams: - Because she promised Cirana she would. Because she will either die, or become an elf if she doesn't, and Mel doesn't want either of those.

Alignment/side: - Against all Elves

Angel~Earth-dweller, and Earth-dweller~Angels

(Earth-dweller being non-angelic or non-demonic creatures)
An Angel-elf is not half angel, but an angel that has been given elf like qualities, without losing any angel qualities. Earth-dweller~Angels, are whatever race they started out as that have been given angel qualities, but they're nowhere near as strong as an Angel~Earth-dweller. Their wings start out white, but the darker the heart, the darker the wings. If the heart reaches True Black, then the Angel~Earth-bound, or Earth-bound~Angel becomes a fallen angel, or demon, and there is no return to the world of light for them. There are three shades of black the heart can go through. The first can be returned from, the second can be, but it's very hard to return from it, and the third is True Black. Angel~Earth-dweller types have to bond someone by the age of 25, (or 25 years as an angel-insert race) or they either die, or become complete insert race. The bond is much like a dragon and rider bond, although the Angel~Earth-dweller generally has more of a servant attitude. Earth-dweller~Angels don't need a bond until 50 years after taking on angel qualities, and half Earth-dweller~Angels, half Earth-dweller don't need any bond. Angels who have been given earth-dweller qualities are not allowed to have children, as having this kind of child would destroy the mother at child birth - the forbidden child taking the mother's power, and adding the power to it's own.

The Rules for the bonding of an Angel-Earth Dweller, and an Earth Dweller-Angel:

1: A bond can not be broken until it is terminated by death, or "blessing".
~If someone else kills the master then the bond passes on to someone else.
~If they die of old age then the bond passes to the closest relative
~Only if the Angel-Earth Dweller / EDweller-Angel kills them then the bond will become void
~OR if the master/mistress is "blessed" to become an EDweller-Angel. The only way out of a bond for an EDweller-Angel is by killing their master. Only an Angel-ED can "Bless"
2: The rules for killing are as follows:
~The master cannot be killed unless
~1~They have abused the Angel-ED, or ED-Angel's power
~2~ The Angel-ED/ED-Angel has been bonded for more than 700 years -doesn't have to be the same master for the whole time
~3~ The last reason is if the master is about to die of old age. If they're about to die from a wound the Angel-ED/ED-Angel is still not allowed to kill them, but can heal them.
If these rules are not followed then the Angel-ED becomes Fallen immediately, and the ED-Angel dies.
3: The Angel-ED/ED-Angel must obey every order given by the master, unless it is one that will destroy up to 1/3 of the world. It doesn't matter whether the master is good or evil.
