No he is not just a child. He is the Savior of AL. The way you call him a child is ridiculous. As human standards he was a man. Humans mature more rapidly than elves because of their short lifespans. Arya isnt that much more mature than eragon

Anyway, yeah, Arya is really a heck of a lot more mature then Eragon. In eldest, he asked her to share her memories so that he might grow as mature (when I say that I mean wise, experenced) as she is, she said no, it would break him. Eventually, they will proably get toghter... if CP is like me. Which he isn't.

Vanir was bested by Eragon which destroyed vanir's argument that they needed a better rider. Vanir hated Eragon because they waited so long for a rider and then the rider was another corruptable and weak human. When Eragon bested him Vanir knew he was the right choice

I doubt thorn would be saphiras mate, because she is a dragon, he is her nest mate, and thorns rider is male, and any feelings by saphira are shared by eragon, and eragon, is not about to go and love murtagh.

And he might leave aligaesia to find the land of the elfs and find they grant him king lol, actually there might be dragons there....

I don't know has anyone mentioned his before, because I haven't got the time to read through 9 pages of posts, but what if he lost someone close to him?

For a start, Alagaesia is at war. People die in wars, and if someone like Arya or Roran died, then imagine the psychological impact that would have on Eragon. It is a common belief, and not without founding, that if you leave the place in which the root of your sadness has occurred then you will ''leave the memories behind''.

As well as that, let's say Eragon has to kill Murtagh, a person he was once great friends with, how do you think he will feel?

So I more or less believe that Eragon will leave Alagaesia, to leave the memories of the war behind and forge a new life for himself.

You could also add, that Saphira would also be sad about having to kill another member of her race (ie. Thorn).
