Fox has resently published their website for the movie Eragon that they are currently filming in Europe. The website is located at http://www.eragonmovie.com. There isn't a lot on it, but it would be a good idea to check it out.

it seems like they're still working to put more on
it doesnt seem like they said a lot about the movie itself
but soon I'm sure there will be some good stuff on it

Just so u guys know the third book is going to be called empire yes I am new and yes I did do extesive reasearch to find out (which did incluid looking on a few spanish websites that i had to translate)

Well he will have to write the book of Brom's story first if there is to be a movie. That is, IF he writes it which I am pretty sure he will because of how big this has and is becoming on society world wide.

well do you think there will a least be flash backs and stuff like that i kinda wonder how they will do the whole arya thing. i would imagine alot of special effects. kinda make me want it to be animated

There might be flash backs during the final battle like other stories to bring suspense. You know those statements "do you remember..............." while they fight.

Yeah i guess but still i would think it would be cool to see how galbatorix killed the riders during broms story at the beggining of the book that kinda stuff

He would write a book before Eragon of Brom's story if he is to do that (and i am pretty sure he will)

I would assume quite a few. A lot like Lord of the Rings.

oh sweet the less they have special effects for the better. i wonder who the fight sceanes are going to be directed by. mabye would could get the star wars lightsaber guy

Although there will be tons of special effects because of the Magic in these books.....but the effects will be so much better because of the advancements.

It could easily edge on 3 hours like Lord of the Rings because of the depth and intese story line and detailed writings of CP from the book cast into the movie. I wouldn't expect it to be any shorter.

So, if I geted this right.
20th century fox is going to make a movie about Eragon.

Who will the director be?
I hope Weta workshop might do all the bigatures and swords all that kind of stuffs.
In all huge battle scenes I would have used "Massive" that you can be told a bit about in the Weta Digital part of the extended version of TTT (the Two Towers).
If I was an director, but i'm not, I would say yes to be the director imideatly.
I might write more here later...

I was browsing in Shur'tagal and was dissapointed with arijihad. In the book his head is shaved. Why did they give him long hair!!!!
