Post Behind Blue Eyes
Sorry about spelling and grammar mistakes they aren't my strongest points.

Prologue

My body shuddered slightly and a cold searing pain gathered in chest. She stood their watching me with those topaz circled sapphire eyes as my body went into full convulsions. A cool trickle came down my cheek just before I felt my vision go I thought about her last words "Jude I don’t love you" my insides began to rip.

Part 1- Introductions

I pushed my history folder into my satchel briefly checking the label that read "Jude Smithy, Britain’s Experience of Warfare". I left my room and pulled the satchel over my shoulder to gain a better hold of it, as I left the house a chilling breeze rippled down my collar making me shudder I liked the cold weather but I wasn’t impermeable to it. My walk to the town college was long and damp due to misting of rain, I came to the main college doors my chin length dark brown hair drenched by the rain and pushed through.

I wondered listlessly through the brightly lit corridors and headed to the in college library to wait for the 9am bell. The new art deco library lit up with luminescent strip lights as I came in triggering the movement sensor. Strolling through the neatly lined bookshelves I headed towards the reading lounge.

The reading lounge was lit with the same bulbs as the rest of the college that contrast sharply with the early December drizzle outside. The circle of chairs were gave the room the look of a self-help group meet. Slumping into the nearest grey padded armchair I relaxed into my own thoughts. I enjoyed the light pit patter of rain on the windows as I waited for the bell and wondered what I would be doing in lessons today I’d spent the weekend finishing up homework so I was prepared for today probably spending most of it in the radiant room I sat in now. The rain began to pick up and I could hear people laughing and shouting as they came in through the front doors. A brief rap on the reading room door made me look up, one of the receptionists stood their bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet. She wasn't nervous of me she just didn't want to talk to me.

"Yeah what do you want?" I addressed her coarsely
She seemed to bridle under my callous tone but reasserted a shaky calm and tried to glare at me I bit down on a laugh she like everyone else had given up on my indiscriminate dislike for everyone.

"Here you’re going to show the foreign exchange student around today" she enunciated every word with an essence of condescending as she handed me a slip of paper

I looked down at the paper to read the details:

Meet Rosaline Sparrow in the main reception on the first bell, she has the same lessons as you so your schedule will not be messed up to much. Show her the best of The Morgan Institute.
Mr. Carson

Taking a sharp breath in I looked from the paper to see the receptionist leaving the room, grimacing I followed her out the same door. Vaguely contemplating the fact this Rosaline wouldn't yet know I was one of the most socially stigmatised people in college I head down the corridor. It took a while of walking through a slowly building crowd in the main corridor for me to reach the outside route to the main reception.

The main reception was a glass-roofed building with reddish brown new bricks and some kind of metal doors with glass portals in them. Outside the front door stood a lean dark haired girl with icy blue set against cheeks that started to look plump but drew in highlighting her cheekbones. I assumed it was Rosaline and pulled out my best level of indifference to see how the newbie would deal with it. As I approached she shift to look at me a slight smile playing on her lips that sent an icy feel through my gut and I wondered how quick it would take her to reject me like everyone else in college.

"Rosaline" I asserted the word with a bitter edge to my tone. She seemed to bridle over something as she looked into my face with her topaz rimmed sapphire eyes. She stood looking into my eyes for about half a minute and then with a jerk bob of her narrow shoulders.

"You don't know ?" I laughed openly at her attempt of indifference
"Yes and you are?" Rosaline's voice was lace with a slight continental accent but also something more I couldn't define. She skipped over my sarcasm with out showing any sign of it ever happening.

"I Jude, so your one of the foreign exchange girls?" I asked with mock awe taking a moment to look at the strange rings in her eyes.

She turned slightly under my gaze and I realised I'd been stairing into her eyes for more then a minute. Trying to shake the moment off I gave a gruff cough and hitched my shoulders up and gave her a quick glance to see one of the most baleful faces I'd ever seen in my life apparently she wasn't used to guys with self control. Rosaline was looking at me with a mixture of hurt and wonder spreading through her face, I didn't let myself look further into my own reaction and jerked my head towards the college library were I come from. After a minute I noticed she wasn't following me and I looked over my shoulder to see her still waiting with the same pained expression still carved into her pale lily-white features.
"Are you coming we still have 10 minutes you don't want to wait outside still 9 do you?" I asked ending a on a fake chuckle.
