 Southern California Wild Fires I live in SoCal myself and I was wondering if anyone else on SF is being effected by the fires (evac, house loss etc)
We lost my house back in 2003 and we just barely escaped losing it again this time. On Monday last there were over a dozen fires burning in SoCal.
Over five hundred homes have been burned. 200 in the mountains where I live.
Thousands of acres of land has also burned. Its a real tragedy. I feel so awful for the people who did lose their homes this time. Its a terrible experience.
But thank goodness for all the fire fighters.

Re: Southern California Wild Fires My great aunt and her husband live in San Diego and they just got back into their house. They didnt get any fire damage, but the houses that are just down the street (as in only three houses between them) were completly distroyed. They were blessed compared to alot of people there. Ash had been falling around them as they were evacuating their house.

Re: Southern California Wild Fires One of my teachers has a brother who lives in San Diego. He's been watching CNN everyday in class keeping track of any news.
One of my dear Internet friends lives in San Diego as well. Fortunately, she's alright. She came on yesterday and told everyone that she's perfectly fine.

Re: Southern California Wild Fires I just found out that my aunts house got really bad smoke damage. the houses four doors down on one side and 6 houses down on the other side were completly distroyed. It demolished everything around them.

Re: Southern California Wild Fires I've heard about those- it's been all over the news even here. It sounds terrible, reminds me of the floods we had here a while back, except obviously fire... fingers crossed that everyone is safe!

Re: Southern California Wild Fires Those fires are really bad  . Those who have lost their homes, or pet(s) or family member(s), or even all or some of those options(sorry if I didn't cover more options) I hope you recover fine from the fires and any other disasters that has happened to you.
