Name: Chiya (CHI-yah)
Race: Elf/Dragon Rider
Age: 6000 years, but looks 17
Gender: Female
Personality: Chiya is kind and peaceful. She cooperates well with others and is friendly. However, she will fight when necessary. She knows valuable information and all the survival skills. She prefers the company of only a few friends and doesn't like to talk much. She likes the wilderness and forests of Du Weldenvarden and likes the shadows and trees. She can be shy when meeting someone new, but when you really get to know her, she is a good friend. She laughs and smiles a lot but can be serious sometimes. She likes solitary walkes with her dragon. She likes having opponents that can challenge her and will often turn down a fight because the opponent is too easy and not worth fighting. However, sometimes she can be a little too curious and that tends to lead her to trouble. She is also cheeky and a master of beeing unseen. More than once, Chiya has been punished for hearing or seeing things she shouldn't. She doesn't trust strangers and will not open up to anyone but her closest friends and family. Chiya also has a sharp mouth but only argues with people she finds annoying. She hates being ordered around and often won't do what she is told.
Appearance: Chiya has short blond hair usually tied up on her left. She always wears a skirt and an unusual top. Her eyes are brown and she has a sash at her waist. She has a butterfly hairband and sleeves which aren't connected to her top. Her clothes colours are light pink, purple and maroon. She has circular patterns on her skirt. She wears maroon, slim shoes which have shoelaces that are purple. Chiya's sash has a maroon tie at the front and a big purple tie at the back. She also has a brownish -purple neckguard.
Past: Chiya was born before the fall of the riders. She lined up every time an dragon egg appeared and her patience was rewarded. When her hand touched a particular egg, she knew it would hatch for her, and it did. One of the dragons, Sylvono, chose her as a rider. Chiya was cursed by her evil grandfather when she had seen him tourtoring (sp?) her friends. The curse was that she would be forever ill, but thanks to Sylvono, she has fully recovered. Her grandfather died in battle against the elves and Chiya is furious about his betrayal. However, she could not have helped the other riders rid Galbatorix because she was very ill at the time. Chiya has spent nearly her entire childhood ill, but thanks to Sylvono, she has recovered completely. She has a small group of loyal friends that have stuck with her for a very long time. She has been treated brutally so she understands other people's problems and worries. Chiya has self-learned to heal and sing to trees. Her parents died fighting Galbatorix, and she has sworn to avenge them, no matter what it takes. She has no siblings, and most of her friends were friendly with her when she was young. Every day, the bond between Sylvono and Chiya grows. She has forever been looking for Galbatorix's weakness, but so far has found none. She has never been out of Du Weldenvarden because of her illness. She was trained by Oromis because he was the only one avaliable after the Fall of the Riders. Chiya has also travelled to nearly everywhere of Du Weldenvarden and can memorise the whole place by heart so she will never get lost. She was friendly with many elves at an early age and is still friendly now. She is forever seeking new friends.

Dislikes: Galbatorix and the Forsworn; Dwarves; Durza and other evil things (including Urgals).

Name: Sylvono (Sil-VOH-no)
Race: Dragon
Age: 6000
Gender: Male
Personality: He enjoys hunting and heat and especially challenges. He likes being independent and seldom accepts help from others. He also likes to watch battles and set challenges for himself. He is very wise and will give advice when necessary. He can be dangerous when he wants and will not be humiliated under any circumstances. He also regards his rider, Chiya, highly and, unlike her, prefers socializing with others.
Looks: He is a silver dragon with black eyes. He has long white eyebrows and a white beard and hair down his neck. He has sharp teeth and can breathe fire.
Past: Sylvono's parents gave him to the riders almost as soon as his egg existed. His mother was a wild dragon, but his father was a dragon linked with an elf. They both died in the Fall of the Riders. He was in his egg when he felt Chiya's touch. She was just the kind of rider he wanted, strong and smart, so he hatched for her and became her dragon. He helped her cure her illnesses which were severe, and they became inseparable partners. They had been together ever since.

Dislikes: Galbatorix and his men, urgals, shades and other evil creatures.
Weapons: Fire, tooth, claw, tail and sometimes magic.
