admin has so much more power and can actually change stuff in the forum where mods only have limited power. also mod cant ban admin admin can ban mod and admin

Mods are nurses.. Admins are doctors
Mods are field operator.. Admins are project planner
or somthing like that...
DCK explained very well. Plus, no one can do anything to Louis (as he's the first member), and (I think) first member can even delete the entire forum.

And Elven, your siggy looks familiar..

Yes, that's it really. Admins can change anything they want- the subforums, add new sections, change people's usernames and details (although they don't unless you ask them) they even have to power to look at what you write in your PMs, but that is personal, so they would never do that. Mods (like me and Fathskie) have the power to give warnings, edit and delete posts, move topics and generally be bossy.

Urmm, firetongue.. since when can you read people's PM's??
I own several forums (at different hosts) and I have never
been able to read members' PM's you know..
I CAN read emails sent via my forum though.. but not PM's..

Well you can on some forum hosters- obviously not the one your forums use. Maybe you can't here, but I know some places admins can.

Also I am the only one that can change things under the hood of the forum like changing the codes in one of the forums many files, but you don't really need to know that.
