Ragnarok
Name: - Ragnarok
Age:- 250,000 years
Gender: - Male
Skills:
As a dragon:
Red Breath Ragnarok has been gifted the ability to breath a thick, red mist around whoever he wants. The mist does not kill immediately, but clouds the mind, and makes one’s moves sluggish. It slowly seeps into one’s body, poisoning the blood at a gradual rate. If exposed to it for too long, someone can eventually die from the corruption of the body. It can not be felt or smelled, and a when exposed to it, one can start believing that nothing is wrong with them and the mist is only natural. If, however, the person can escape from inside of it, the body will immediately be purged of the poison. It is, hard to escape the Red Breath because of the effects stated above. Unfortunately, Ragnarok must limit his use of this ability because if he is caught in the mist, the power is turned on him, and is increased ten fold. When he uses it, the power of his fire breath is also reduced for a time.
Earth’s Fire As a master of fire, Ragnarok has learned to control the fire within the earth. He can bring fire to the surface, and then manipulate it to his will. He can make it into any form of fire he wants, from a ball of flame to an inferno. However, it takes a certain amount of energy to do this. For example, to bring the fire up from the earth takes hardly any energy, but to convert fire can sometimes take huge amounts. To change the fire into a fireball takes less energy than to form it into an inferno, and so on. As Ragnarok is only 250,000 years old (a rather low age among the Orum Alfa abr Raudhr), this power may develop into a more powerful weapon as the years go by.
Destructive Rage This is a power that Ragnarok cannot control. When this takes control, he becomes something like a Berserk dragon. His claws teeth and horns grow longer, his eyes turn pure red, and the spines on his back grow huge. He is able to fly to higher altitudes, and his reflexes sharpen. Basically, he becomes much stronger, and faster. He is able to take huge amounts of pain and not flinch. The downside to this is that he is not able to use his other powers while he is under this ability, and when he leaves the state, he is incredible weak. He is looking for a way to control this power so that he does not use it at the wrong time.
Many more that are yet to be revealed. (After they are shown I will update)
As an elf:
Changing of Forms Being a Rusifell, Ragnarok has the ability to change into a dragon at any time as long as he carries with him his amulet of fire. The amulet carries an energy that can only be used by a Rusifell, and after being narrowed down to this specific race, can only be used by the one it is "bouned" to. However, Rusifell has lost this amulet and therefor cannot use this ability.
Onto this ability is added the physical and magical powers all elves have.
Race: - Ragnarok is a Rusifell, a race of half dragon, half human/or elf beings. The Rusifell are currently split into ten major clans two of which Ragnarok is qualified to be in. He currently gives his support to the Orum Alfa abr Raudhr, being roughly translated serpent elves of red.
Hair: - When a dragon, scales are red. When a human hair is gray.
Eyes: - Yellow
Home Village: - A continent far away from Alagaisia in a town whose name is unknown, but is called Edoc'sil in the ancient language.
Parents: - Njord and Syn (most likely still alive)
Siblings: - Baldr, who does not know he is a Rusifell, and goes by a different name that I have mentioned before.
Character Personality: Ragnarok is a very strange Rusifell in that he has many characteristics common to the race. He is rash, doubtful of ideas different to his own, vain, given to anger, not willing to listen, and above all, very careless. Despite this, he is very cunning, and able to lay out plans that usually do not fail because he manages to keep one step ahead of his adversary. Ragnarok is very prideful about his heritage, and hates with a passion all those who despise or think little of the Rusifell. He does not appreciate jokes, and hardly ever laughs, but when he does it is usually a sign of extreme anger and means that someone is about to die. Ragnarok enjoys a good long battle and despises tactics of defense, prefering to plummet into the enemy lines and wipe out hundreds of his foes. Despite his background (and what I have written of him) he has a high sense of honor and duty, and believes it is his job to bring all creatures under the rule of the Rusifell, and being a Rusifell, he will not rest until he has completed what he (believes) he is meant to do. Ragnarok is also very wise and is a very hard creature to outwit, which is why it is a good idea to tell the truth when around him.
Character History:Parts of this I am going to lay out in a kind of a story so it might be a little bit long. It will also I think, reveal a bit of Ragnarok's future.
"Alone..." that was the word that ran through Ragnarok's mind as he lay alone in the dark valley under the earth. "Alone..." It had been 3,000 years since he staged his great attack on all of Alagaisia; 3,000 years since he had been defeated; 3,000 years since the gift of magic had been stripped from him...but now, some of it was coming back. Soon, he would be out of his hell, and soon, his adversaries would pay. All he had to do was think, and remember, for that was the key wasn't it? Remembering all that had happened to him, which would in turn bring on his Destructive Rage and unleash his long asleep magic. 3,000 years had gone by, but another thousand would not pass, for Ragnarok remembered...
A long time ago, about 400,000 years ago to be exact, the Rusifell, or Serpent Shifters had been in their prime. They controlled their continent and many others besides, as wise rulers who did everything in their power to keep their subjects safe, and their subjects returned this with a loyalty that was never to be surpassed. At that time, the Rusifell Njord and Syn ruled from the great city of Edoc'sil, which was true to its name of unconquerable. Under their reign a great era of peace washed over the land, a peace so great that no one could dream what would happen next. A traitorous advisor named Jayden took up the notion that he should be ruler. He was wise, he was strong, he was handsome, but above all he was more powerfull than any being ever to live, for he controlled the Spector. The Spector was (and still is) a strange being, made up entirely of the blood and ashes of all the dead creatures in the whole world, and more powerful than all of them put together. It is a shadow, slinking around the world, destroying life here, corrupting a soul there, and all for one purpose; to wreak as much havoc, and cause as much chaos as possible, before it withers away. How the shadow came into existence is a whole other matter, as is the story of how Jayden subdued it to his will, but the fact remains, he did. And he planned on using it to take over the continent of the Rusifell.
To say it in the fewest words, he succeeded in conquering the Rusifell, but failed to exterminate the royal family, for Njord and Syn escaped, with their new sons Ragnarok and Bjord. Jayden was not happy with this and sent out the Spector to find and slay them, before they rose to power again and put an end to his reign. Thus, to save their lives, the royal family was forced to flee the land of the Rusifell and find a new place to call their home; this land happened to be alagaisia.
Many years passed, and Ragnarok found himself on his own. He had fled the presence of his parents after attepting to, and nearly succeeding in, killing Bjord, his brother. By this time, other Rusifell had made it to Alagaisia after fleeing the evil reign of Jayden, who had now been corrupted, and "occupied" by the Spector who had turned against him. There was now a large colony of the Serpent Shifters in Alagaisia, but they had been shunned, and nearly destroyed by the elves who had taken them for enemies. Ragnarok and been filled with rage and had attepted to attack and destroy them when Bjord broke in and tried to stop prevent him from commiting the rash deed. After nearly killing his brother, Ragnarok fled into the Beor mountains, where he traveled deep under ground until he found his greatest ally ever...fire. For centuries he hid underneath the mountains learing the secrets of the flames, and becoming a master of what he thought was the greatest force ever made. After many many years, Ragnarok emerged, to wreak havoc on any living creature that was not a Rusifell.
Thousands of years sped by as Ragnarok feasted on the flesh of what he named his mortal enemies, thousands of years in which he wreaked more destruction than any other Rusifell in history...that was until he lost his amulet of fire...
Ragnarok licked his his claws clean of the blood of the elves he had recently slaughtered. He gazed out on the burnt village with sick joy at the havoc and sorrow he had caused; he had no hint of remorse whatsoever. A very old man was hiding watching him with a look of disgust and anger on his face. This beast had to be punished, and the man knew just how to do it. The dragon was a Rusifell, this the man knew by just a glance at the amulet around the creatures neck, and as a Rusifell it took great pride in its ability to shape shift, thus losing it was the one thing that would cause the beast more sorrow and remorse than anything else in the world...or so the man hoped. he waited until the Rusifell turned into an elf, and approached him. Minutes later. Ragnarok was lying on the ground unconscious: without an amulet around his neck.
For the next few centuries, Ragnarok would search for his amulet to no avail, and then, in anger and pride, try to cause more pain than he ever did before, and then the same old man who had taken his amulet before, and who had hidden it in the most unlikely of places, would seal him away beneath a lake of lava for many thousands of years. The Ragnarok would awaken, and once again begin his search for the amulet, and this time he would succeed, for this time he would have the help of a shade named...
Ragnarok growled a low growl of annoyance. This was as far as he could remember...for the moment at least...
