Preferably something of 30 or less episodes, nothing colossal like Bleach.
I'm looking for something similar to Elfen Lied and Paranoia Agent (if you haven't seen them, you're missing out big time.)
Y'know, something that combines emotion, relationships, comedy, violence, psychology and a gripping storyline. And don't give me generic crap like Naruto. I tried watching that and almost fell asleep by the time it was episode 5 >_<

Gundam Wing is only 49 episodes and one movie 'Endless Waltz'. Short but good plot and character development. DBZ is my favorite but that 272 episodes and 13 movies....

I never liked DBZ. Found it a bit childish tbh. Never seen Gundam but heard good things about it. There are, like, 5 billion series lol. Where do I start? Gundam Wing? Gundam Seed? Gundam 00?

Gundam wing is a great anime, but DBZ took anime to a new level...cant ingore that. Terrible how they sold out to make another awful movie reimagining....

Well the violence in Elfen Lied was WAY stronger than DBZ, and it was still more justifiable.

Elfen Lied: Your entire race has put me through years of hardship and psychological torture. I will now kill you.

DBZ: Your hair is bigger than mine. I will now shout until I turn yellow, then proceed to engage you in an airborne battle consisting of the 2 of us punching each other so fast that nobody can see our fists, which after being dragged out for 10 episodes will be ended by me going 'KAMEHAMEHAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!'

yeah i used to watch dbz but it got boring very fast, my favorite anime series has got to be Ghost In The Shell, they only made 2 seasons but the show has a very deep plot and is very actiony, the second season has got to be the best as it touches on a few issue the world faces today, like government corruption and freedom movements started for the sake of peace. theres also a movie but ive only seen the last third of it, and youtube isnt very helpful lol.
