OOC: Anyone is welcome to join this rp, though I should warn you; it is going to be extremely EPIC! Also, this will begin near the edge of the Du Weldenvarden forest.

IC:

Elcyon was sitting on a grassy hill, looking through her completely filled journal that held vital information about her past, as well as everyone else's. It was night, but El had built a cozy fire next to her so that she was able to read what she had written down over the years. She had just finished stringing up a completely new journal, thicker this time, with a brown and black cover. There were bottles of ink next to her, and a quill, where she began to write down what had went down in the past couple of weeks. Nothing exciting, unfortunately, but El wouldn't give up hope that something epic would be right around the corner. Everything El had ever witnessed would very well be in future legends, as it would become history.

History...

Some would be lost if it were told in legend form. El didn't want that to happen. An idea came to mind, she had brought this up to Phalynx many a time and she wondered if it would ever be possible to make this dream a reality.

A library.

Surely anyone could appreciate a good library, filled with books to the brim of the history she had lived on through, as well as her friends and family had. Could it ever happen? El wasn't sure. But anything was possible, and at the moment, everything was peaceful. Perhaps she would begin her search on the morrow.

Above her, the sky was completely clear, no moon shone that night, and the stars were much brighter out there than it would be towards the center of Alagaesia. They twinkled and winked at her, and she smiled as she recognized the patterns she found only a few years ago. El plotted the stars movements and named the patterns that seemed to make the shape of whatever they resembled. El thought of this as she opened her journal and began to list all of the constellations and shapes that came with it.

OOC: Also, this is the rp I warned you all that would contain some Draconians... lol but not till later. Lot's of stuff's gonna happen.

IC: Phal stifled a yawn. She had been flying all day and much of the previous night. Though she wasn't really tired, she was still in need of sleep, and was currently looking for a good place for the night. The stars twinkled high overhead, and she moved as though one of them, a glowing point of silver light. If she wasn't moving, she would easily be mistaken for a star, as was her goal. Far below, the long, rolling treetops of Du Weldenvarden passed beneath her. In the night, the soft blue curves of the trees looked like a faraway sea, rolling and shifting like waves.

An open area ahead drew her attention, but not merely because it was treeless; sitting atop it was a very familiar figure. Phal could scarcely make her out from this height, but the magic around her gave her away. It was Elcyon, one of her best friends, and one who had been through many trials with her. It would be good to see and talk with her friend again in peace.

She drifted lower, ambling down and slowly releasing air from her large wings. Elcyon! Mind if I join you atop that hill? she called to her friend when she had halved her altitude. She was just below the cloud level, and sinking fast on the still night air.

OOC: Indeed, my friend, indeed. Let the fun commence!

IC:

Elcyon startled, though not surprsied, to see her good friend Phal descend slowly from cloud-level above her. It was like Phal to drop in from high above, and El knew her well enough that most likely she was probably one with the stars before she had come down low enough so that El could just barely make out her shape in the darkness. Not at all! she called with a smile. Make yourself comfortable, please. It's quite peaceful out here. El held up her journal. I was just going through my journal, nothing as exciting as fighting shadow creatures or fire demons, she added with a laugh.

OOC: You're quite welcome to join, red. Everyone is.

IC: Phal smiled. Yes, I've been meaning to sleep soon, she replied with a laugh, But no doubt we'll find a perfect place to build the library. Phal paced away sleepily, searching for a good place to sleep. She found a nice patch of tall grass next to a large decidious tree. The tree's lower branch stretched out toward the ground, making a nice sheltered curve around some of the grass. Phal curled up within the space, her tail resting next to the tree. Goodnight, Elcyon. We can begin our search tomorrow, she said with a yawn to her friend.

OOC: I think Zantos is a two-leg, Astral.

IC: Phal nodded at El's words. You may feel free to join us, of course. Everyone can help find a good site for a library; we must preserve our records. I am Phalynx of the stars, and it is nice to meet you, she said cheerfully. She glanced at El when the black dragoness suggested leaving. Well, I'm going to get a quick bit of breakfast and a drink first, and perhaps we should decide where to go before leaving? she offered with a laugh.

OOC: Yes, sorry about that, I fixed it, sorry should have taken the time to look at the bio... >.<

IC:

Elcyon ducked her head in embarressment when she had realized no one had gotten breakfast yet. It would be important for them all to get some nurishment in them before they set out. She nodded her head in agreement. You're right, we'd ought to go and get something to eat.

El lifted her wings and began to ascend towards the sky, as she looked back to wait for her friends.

Saiph and Polaris flew side by side, taking in everything they could. They were memorizing the land so they could always find their way back home and this was the first time they had been allowed to take flight by themselves. Both had to say that the experience was exhilarating.
I've never felt so free! Polaris said, rolling in her flight all the way around.
I know! Flying with everyone else is good, but I have to say that not being made to come back when we are told is... Saiph didn't bother with the word and just sent his feelings of elation and utter ecstasy over to Polaris, who sent her own version back.
We should go a little faster or we'll be late. Saiph said almost automatically.
Late for what? Polaris asked, curious about this new development.
Saiph shook his head, unknowing. I don't know... I just felt that we should be going a little faster. I don't know why.
Remember what Mom told us about the events in the land? How she was drawn to them?
Maybe I'm developing something similar? Saiph saw the question as clearly in Polaris' mind as he did his own.
Could be, you picked the direction we should go.
Saiph almost smiled.

Phal cast out her mind, searching. She picked up three of them. Three of her children were nearby. Polaris and Saiph were approaching their direction, and would soon reach them. And Alna'ir was... already here? Phal jerked out of her concentration in time to see a streak of blue, black, and white flash past, twist around, and then land in a series of springing, inelegant bounds. Phal laughed. So you found us already? Well, the twins are coming too, I'm sure they felt my mind brush theirs, she said with a smile. In a few more moments, another dragon landed, this one several months younger than her own daughter. It was Railyn, the silvery-blue child of Elcyon. Phal smiled and gave a friendly greeting to her.

Na'ir had felt their minds for a while now. She had been flying southwest from her home mountains, over Du Weldenvarden and toward the Hadarac. As she passed, she noticed the minds and scents of several dragons on the wind, and further investigation had revealed that her mother was part of the party. She had flown as fast as she could to reach them. Yeah, I'm here! And yeah, I feel Polaris and Saiph's minds; they're almost here. Where's Sirius? I thought he had the pull thing like you, so where is he? she said, continuing rather indignantly. Her oldest brother was just going to let the three of them continue on, incomplete? As the twins got closer, Na'ir called out an enthusiastic greeting to them.

Both Polaris and Saiph felt the touch of their mother's mind at the same time, but whether that was from their own link with each other or just because their mother was contacting them at the same time, they couldn't tell. Either way, they knew now where they were headed to.
Mom and Na'ir and there! Polaris said enthusiastically.
Sweet, maybe we'll actually get to have an adventure this time and not sit on the side-lines. Saiph was just as excited.
As they got closer they could reach out and touch their mother's mind as well as Na'ir.
Hi there! Polaris yelled out happily to both of them when Na'ir called to them.
Who are the rest? I don't think we've met before. Are they your friends? Saiph was almost tripping over himself with asking the questions. He wanted to ask so much more, but he knew the answers would come if he just waited.

OOC: I hope it is ok if I join, especially this late in the RPG, but this RPG is perfect for Luna!

IC:
Luna flew over the Hadarac, she was flying for no real reason, but she was bored and was flying. She had seen a blue dragoness flying over the great desert and was very interested in seeing it and meeting it and hoped to make a new friend.

She had left her parents home in the forest of Du Weldenvarden some two weeks ago and was happy to have the freedom of living on her own. However, she was very lonely and that is why she had followed the blue dragon. She followed the dragon all the way back into Du Weldenvarden and continued to follow it until she came upon a large group of creatures, there were seven dragons and two humans. She landed some distance away and bowed to the others. She said, I am Luna, daughter of Ara and Eroth, and protectoress of the moon. It is an honor to meet you, may I ask, what is going on here? asked the silvery white dragoness as she walked forward, her blue amulet moving as she walked.

OOC: You missed the ANYONE IS WELCOME TO JOIN, Leo, as well. It's alright if you join!

IC:

Elcyon grinned a warm welcome to her daughter as Railyn made a landing. How goes the hunt in the Hadarac Desert? she asked with a curious look, as she attempted to not look extremely worried. The fire demons were something to worry about, but with Railyn's fire power inherited by her mother, El shouldn't have worried too much.

It was fine Mom, Rai replied with a cheerful grin. I was hot on the trail, but then you called and I was like, "Oh heck with this, we'll find another time to fight them! Besides, it'd be better if we were in groups!"

El just shook her head and laughed. Well, it sounds very productive. However, now we have made plans to go on with the journey to make the library.

Railyn's eyes literally dialated when her mother mentioned that. Like the one you've been dreaming about for as long as I can remember?! She began to jitter. When are we going? Can we go now? I promise I won't be of a nuiscence! I'll fly just as fast as you! No, maybe faster! I've been practicing.

Railyn, we're preparing, El hushed her daughter with a humerous tone. Have you eaten on the way? Railyn nodded. Good. Then we're going to wait for the rest to be nourished before we go.

Railyn looked at the others, and a huge grin spread over her face when she saw Na'ir. Hey, great to see you! How've you been? Seen anything cool lately? She turned her head to the two new dragons who seemed to be about her age. Hello there! My name is Railyn! How are you?

Elcyon nodded her head to Luna in a friendly greeting. We have gathered to go on a journey. I have been hoping to start a library, and my friends here want to accompany me to do so. Are you interested in such a journey? she asked kindly.

We're good! Saiph said excitedly at the younger dragon who was their size. My name is Saiph, and this is my twin sister Polaris.
Polaris listened to Phalynx list off the others that were here, her own excitement building. When she finished, she thanked Phal and turned to talk to Railyn. So what's going on here anyway? From the looks of it, it's going to be very exciting.

Phal tilted her head in curiosity at Luna's explanation. Moon spirits? In all my traveling, I have not encountered them. They sound like good creatures, though, she said with a smile, and glanced around at the group. Elcyon called out for them to get moving, and she gave a slight nod of her head. Yes, I think it's time to be off as well. Do you have a destination or region in mind, El? Phal announced, turning to look at her friend. They couldn't exactly start out until they had an idea of where they were going.

Na'ir grinned at Polaris. Of course it is! We're going to find a location for a grand new library, to document the exploits of the peoples of Alagaesia, and to record history for the future generations, she said to her sister, grinning and her eyes sparkling with every word. Usually she didn't speak so eloquently, but she felt this had a greater significance than most would think. If history was not recorded, then much knowledge could be lost. It would be especially important to know what happened during this time, because of the turmoil the land was enveloped in.

A library? Like the ones that Taliear told us about? Polaris asked immensely curious.
You mean like the ones Taliear told us his Elven father told us about, Keralin was his name? Saiph corrected.
Yeah! Polaris said, unhappy about being corrected but glad that it was Saiph that did it. He told us that Keralin had been to many libraries, though not much else. He's fun to be around, though Hayren is a bit of a downer.
He's not that bad, though why anyone would want to have someone on their back is beyond me. Saiph looked around, noticing that everyone was getting ready to leave.

Luna leapt into the air and waited for the others and responded to the silver dragoness saying, You have no idea as to how good they really are. said the dragoness. Then she asked, Lets go find where this libraby will be built! There is no sense in waiting around for us to grow old, lets go! urged the impatient young dragoness as she waited intently on the others to get into the air and get this what she thought could be, very interesting adventure.

OOC: Pass, sorry......

OOC: Oh dear, I see it's my turn on this rp. I'm really sorry I've been waiting for someone's turn but I realize it's mine! I would really like to keep this one going so if anyone is still interested we can continue on. The order would be: Astral, Draco, Aeraldi, Red, and Leo. (Draco were we planning on Sirius coming into play later on?)

OOC: Yep Sirius is joining soon after they start off. I'll wait for your post then.

OOC: Okie-dokie then. I shall go ahead and take my turn that is long over-due. I think I will also introduce Luxir if that's ok.

IC:

El tilted her head to inquire Phal's words. Hmm...How about we travel north-eastward? After all, part of that land is unexplored and it would be a nice safe place from any intruders that would want to destroy a library. Perhaps there is a forest, or a cliff side to harbor something like that? She dipped her head. Everyone, I appreciate the dedication you show in willing to keep records of our history for future generations. I thank you.

Railyn agreed. It's super important to find a place that's dry yet stable for records especially if they're on scrolls or books. I can't wait any longer, mom! she exclaimed. Let's go let's go! Her wings twitched and her claws dug into the ground as though she were trying to keep herself on the ground without taking off.

Luxir flew in from above, spotting the gathering of dragons just below. He recognized his mother's scale color amongst the others for his matched hers exactly. He swooped in, as though a silent shadow from above, as he landed behind the group. He did not speak, nor felt compelled to, as he could have guessed what everyone was doing here. His mother wanted to make a library. He had seen it almost a minute ago with his vision and decided to change corse towards the dragons. He waited patiently to take off again, taking in the moment to relax from a long day of flying.

Polaris laughed at Na'ir's comment about falling off. As she saw the others jumping into the air Polaris and Saiph both began to fly into the air.
Come on then, let's find this place! I wanna see it already! Saiph yelled excitedly.

OOC: Pass really.

OOC: If Leo doesn't come back or if red doesn't post then I guess a skip is aquired for this rp too. But I don't know if either have been on actually I just want to keep this one going because I had a good plan for this.

OOC: I think you can skip them now if you want, Astral.

OOC: Alright, I'll give it a go.

IC:

Rai replied, Yeah, having a rider is too much of a hassle. I like being my own person. Besides, how would you ever get to make wonderful dives from waaaaaaaaaay up above? she pointed out, grinning. She was glad to have met Na'ir, they seemed to have a lot of things in common. Rai looked at the other siblings, Polaris and Saiph. Wait, you know someone who's been to some libraries? What were they like? Were they ENORMOUS? Rai couldn't help herself with the stream of questions that rattled off. She loved reading and writing, it was her passion.

Luxir looked around, uncomfortable, and stood a hair closer to his mom. He hated being around new dragons, especially if there were so many of them. One or two he could handle, but a group was too much. He cast his eyes around, looking at the scenery. He wouldn't admit it, but he was excited about the new library. At least it would be a quiet place where he could spend the days reading about history instead of living it. He looked over at the dragoness who greeted him. She was certianly beautiful, though slightly older than he, Xir couldn't help but stare for a few seconds before grunting, Hey. How's it going?

El laughed at the impatience of the young dragons. Well since we've kept you guys here long enough, I suppose it's time to head on out! She opened her wings, catching the breeze that was rolling through and took off into the sky, looking back at the group below to make sure they were coming. She couldn't believe that today was the day she would live her dream. At long last, her records of all the journies that she has made, they would pay off and El could share them with the generations that were sure to come. Railyn and Luxir hurried to join their mother in the air, Rai with her eyes shining, Xir with his head bowed in annoyance.

OOC: Oo I like the new name, Astral. Anyway:

IC: Phal laughed at her two youngest children took off with excitement, their black and white scales glittering in the light as they flew about eagerly. Elcyon spoke up her agreement and took flight, and the silver nodded to her friend. Certainly. Northeastward, then! she called, angling her body to point that direction. She glanced back and saw Na'ir and Railyn chatting happily away, Polaris and Saiph still flying with excitement, and Luxir looking rather sullen. He seemed somewhat grumpy, but she thought that, despite appearances, the young dragon would have fun on this quest. Well it looks like those two are becoming fast friends, El. Who knows, maybe one day they'll get into as much trouble as we do on quests together, she remarked, gesturing toward Na'ir and Rai. They both even looked somewhat similar. Rai had silvery blue scales, and Na'ir had a mid-blue color with, of course, the black and white streaks on her wings.

Alna'ir grinned at Luxir. Excellently. Aren't you excited, going on a journey to find the future site of a library? You might not look it, but I bet you are, she told him. She then turned to Railyn when the dragoness continued about having a rider and then asked Polaris and Saiph about the libraries Keralin had seen. Oh, I agree with you there. I don't think I could do half of my better aerial tricks with some two-leg. Hey, maybe we should practice flying together? I know some pretty good moves, she spoke to Railyn, smiling cheerfully.

OOC: Well thank you I was going to mention that I was planning to change it. The title, you see, originally was just to put something there for an idea. But I think this is more befitting. Anyway, Aeraldi, since red and Leo haven't been active at all it'll be your turn until they return. Then me, then Draco and so on.

OOC: I'll pass this one cause I'm still a little lost.

IC:

Elcyon enjoyed the flight so far, the weather was perfect and everyone was in high spirits. That is, except for her son Luxir, though it appeared he would get in the mood along with them to enjoy himself. She knew her son, Luxir enjoyed exploring as much as she did. El laughed a good full laugh as she recalled the many adventures she and Phal shared together and how much mischif they would get into. Not that it stopped them from going on any more missions together. That could be, she agreed with a warm smile, looking at their daughters flying together as they chatted. Certianly they share the same taste of adventure as we do.

Railyn grinned a toothy grin at Na'ir. That would be so cool! I bet you do, you seem to have taken a lot of your mother's side, what with flying high and well, she added. I know some pretty interesting moves myself, a couple of them even battle moves. In the air, my specialty is a 360 tail-whip. Though I've never actually tried it on anyone before, she admitted, but it could work! I've done a lot of practice! Rai smiled and then looked over at Luxir who was sulking. Oh yeah he likes to travel, he just never shows it because he just doesn't want to open up to anyone, she explained to Na'ir. He'll lighten up once we get out there.

Luxir snapped, I can too open up to anyone! I don't need you to speak for me! He added, more sullen, I suppose I am, I've never been on a big trip before, one that was semi-important. His eyes flashed at his sister and then warmed slightly. At least you're keeping chatterbox here company so she has someone to talk to, he joked slightly, and laughed a little when Rai very immaturely stuck her tongue out at him. He truly loved his sister despite how obnoxious she could be. Her heart was always in the right place no matter what. Xir looked at Polaris and Saiph, and then at Na'ir. I take it you and your siblings are excited as well? And are these all of your siblings? I have one other sister besides Railyn. Her name is Incindea.

Phal laughed along with El, thinking back to other times. Of course, those adventures would continue, if she had anything to say about it. They were going on one now, only this time accompanied by some of their children. Phal smiled. They had each grown since they first met, raising families and discovering new things. Of course, Phal was already mated and had three eggs when she met El, but they had not hatched for a few months, and so their offspring were fairly close in age. She glanced back to check on them, noticing Na'ir and Railyn still flying together, with Luxir, Polaris, and Saiph nearby. All seemed well. Well of course they do. Nothing better than a healthy sense of adventure, she replied with a chuckle. So, now that we're on our way, what sort of place were you considering for your library? Obviously the conditions should be fairly dry and stable to accomodate books and papers and such, but what else would you like for it? she asked.

Na'ir kept up her grin at Railyn. A 360 tail-whip, huh? I've never tried that move in combat, since I don't exactly have any weapons on my tail to make it a very damaging whip, but I bet it would work. Have you tried the backwinging somersault kick? Well, I kinda just name it that myself, but I think it's a pretty effective combat move. I'm actually not that great at aerial combat, mainly just aerobatic-type moves. If you want to learn about fighting, talk to our brother Sirius, she said, happy to simply have the time for a good long conversation. And her words were true. Sirius, though very young still, seemed to pick up combat moves faster than anyone else she had ever met. She laughed when Railyn addressed Luxir and he grew annoyed. No, we have a brother named Sirius. I don't know where he is. Probably off fighting somewhere, she told him with a roll of her eyes. I think we have the right idea, though. Exploration is more fun than fighting, she said to Polaris and Saiph with a grin.

OOC: Just a reminder, whenever you catch up Aeraldi it be your turn.

OOC: Why am I the only one that doesn't get a posting in "It's you turn"? I'm feeling left out now....

I'll say. Saiph said, enjoying the air across his entire body. Though I have to admit, fighting can be fun at times. Especially when we're performing some of our super-cool moves together. Polaris added on without missing a beat. Have I told you about the move that we're perfecting at the moment? We grab each other's claws and hold on tight, one facing forward, the other backward. After that, we tumble end over end, spouting our flames and making a huge wheel of fire! I only wish we could see it from the outside!

OOC: Lol sorry Aeraldi...in a few days if Draco or I don't post you have permission to flat out say IT'S YOUR TURN HERE!!! Go go go!!!

IC:

Elcyon warmed at the sight of their children bonding. She assumed it would happen eventually, since she and Draco, as well as their mates, were already good friends. They would have seen each other time and again. Their children would have met and possibly find some of the same qualities. It was true, when Phal mentioned that adventure is good for the health. It trained your senses but also gave you something fun to do. She turned to Phal when she questioned about the location of the library. El thought long and hard. True, El had considered a dry place to keep the written texts in good shape, but Phal had a good point of finding a place where it would be stable. As in, minor earthquakes or tornados to make minimal damage. Hmm...well I was thinking it could be somewhat high, and very large, for dragons to have easy access. She thought long and hard. We could find a hollowed out tree, one that is fairly large. That way we don't have to worry about structure or dampness. But it should be somewhat natural whatever the case may be, she added. Perhaps on top of a plateau or within a large valley hidden from outsiders.

Railyn shook her head at Na'ir. Never heard of a move like that before. But that sounds cool! Yeah, I think flying moves would be more fun anyway. She grinned again, enthusiastic. Very true! It's so exciting! You can fight anyone at any time of day. Exploring somewhere new, somewhere no one has even heard of, is almost a once in a life time opprotunity! But we should definately compare moves sometime, she added, that is, if you're up for it. I'm up for anything! She looked at Saiph and Polaris, who were describing their flaming spin to Luxir. That sounds awesome! Did you guys have to practice that move quite a bit? It took me a while to perfect my 360-tailwhip. Luxir has a cool breath that he uses for a special attack if he needed, right Xir? she said, looking at her younger brother, laughing at his grumpy expression.

Luxir huffed at his sister, but he nodded to Saiph and Polaris. That's an interesting battle move. Perhaps you'll give us a demonstration at some point? I would really like to see it. He said to Na'ir, Your brother sounds interesting. I would really like to meet him one day, I like the sense of fighting and exploring. He glared at his sister as she rambled on about his special ability. I'd hardly call it special, he growled. But I can use my lightning breath to make my whole scales become electrified, like an electric eel. He felt embarrassed with sharing so much about himself, but the rest of the kids were sharing and they would be interested to learn about him as well. He didn't want to be a stick in the mud of their travelling time.
