I think a new character will be introduced since none of the characters fit the riders description.

we never get a "discription" of the next rider. and if you mean riders in general, i doubt they were all alike. they were probably as diverse as normal people.

it is very unlikely that it will be a new character because of something CP said. He said something along the lines of we will be "slightly surprised" but should not be shocked.

Sorry i mean the fact that it would be too obvious. And Arya being the 3rd rider would not be near slighty surprising.

i dont think Arya should be the 3rd dragon rider cause look at the other riders eragon and murtagh. they both know nothing about dragons or magic (perhaps murtagh a little) when they set out.

So it should be that the 3rd rider knows nothing about dragons and magic too and arya already has 2 much experience. thats my point.

Murtagh was pretty couragous to escape uruban and fight all of those soldiers. Eragon was special because he was pretty safe in the Spine. Roran was special because he lead the entire town through the spine, and Arya is a leader good with magic and is battle hardened and would solve Eragons love problem.

i think arya is a good choice because she knows spells and the antient langauge allready and shes an elf.

I would love for Arya to be the next rider...but I don't believe it's going to happen. One...It would be way to obvious and writers like to have some mystery to things. Two...think if she was a rider. She would be stronger than Eragon. It would take some time for her dragon to grow and mature, but she's already stronger in fighting and in magic than Eragon....and isn't this series about Eragon? No, if she became the next rider she would outshine Eragon even at his best. It's not a new character but someone we wouldn't expect. It could be Roran, But if it is him I doubt it will be because of the family thing.

I think it is Arya for several reason and I won't stait the more obvious ones for you. One she is already traind the varden can't whait anouther two years for a rider to train they need another one right now. Two after Eragons transomation he is most likly a better person with a sword than Arya. Three you forget that Eragon is going to get some sort of power from the VOS which sould make him pass up Galby in strength magic wise. So Arya wouldent be stronger than Eragon.

Maybe so. But you forget she is an elf. They are already naturally stronger than humans, even when their weakened. So even if Eragon gets a power up he most likely will just be equal with her....maybe a little stronger at the most. But if she then becomes a dragon rider, again she will surpass him in power and strength. So therefore, no, she won't be the next dragon rider.

But you forgot about when the Dragon basicly transformed Eragon into an elf though he is still human by birth.

I really don't think she should be the next dragon rider. If she becomes the next dragon rider she will become really powerful and she already is powerful and she will advance farther than Eragon so I think he will be filling left in the dust. I hope it's Roran.

Exactly. Arya would be a perfect candidate for a dragon rider. But this series is about Eragon, not Arya. Yeah she's an important character but it's not about her and if she becomes a dragon rider she will be stronger than Eragon. Maybe he was basically transformed into an elf. But Arya still has more experience than him. She's how much older than him? She knows a lot more than him and combined with a dragon she'd still be stronger than him.

You forget about the VOS and what Eragon might get there.

Arya is not a sidekick. And Eragon isn't done with his training yet and the VOS is still on the table. And If Arya is a sidekick than sheis the first I've seen that could beat the hero.

She'd be way too powerful!! She's just not befitting it. She doesn't play the role of dragonrider. She doens't seem that carrying for a dragon. Plus she's fine the way she is.

Is the only reason you want her to be rider is so Eragon and Arya will get together? Because if it is, that's not a good enough reason for me.

There are other reasons all so her magics color is green (I think). She is a excellent swordsman and Magic user which would save CP several capters in his already huge book. And What of Eragons vision the two people who are bording the ship are taller than the rest and because of the dragons in my opinion so the next rider has to be a Woman and I think Arya is the most likely to be it.

It won't be a dwarf because of what scarecrow said they were not added to the spell that bonded humans, elves, and dragons.

It wasn't a deal it was an agrement wich they backed up with spells that make it so that when one of the three races (elves, humans dragons) suffer the others will also suffer. And Dragons have a history of dislikeing dwarfs so it wont be a dwarf.

yea its it was a spell the elfs made and since they didn't include dwarfs in the spell, they cant be riders, and that prolly wont be changed since you can't lie in AL and whatnot...

also dwarfs dont relley like dragons much so I doubt that a dragon would hatch for one even given a chance.
