Wil looked through the coal black night at Uru'baen. He shivered, for as high as he was the torches were specks of light. He looked to the stars, of which even the brightest were dim from over this dark city. Wait for the signal Kagraign. Wil thought. He remembered leaving the side of his companions to sit here and wait. Galbatorix seemed to know what was going on, for all day he'd had archers roaming the streets. I know, little one. They said midnight, so it shouldn't be much longer Kagraign replied. Wil sighed in the frigid air. As Kagraign circled over the shrouded city, Wil saw a light flare at the far end. Their lighting fires! They know of our plan! Someone must've leaked information! Wil thought hysterically. All he could do was wait at this point.

" Hey Wil!" Reb said. She was wondering why he was looking all hysterical. She may be seventeen, and him considerably younger, but when anyone was around Ur'bean " Spell" they would get shivers. Star Gazer circled in the night sky, and Shedo, and Cobalt followed behind her. She sat down on the grass, and lay back to look at the stars.

Cassiopeia was surprised to hear hysterical screaming she came round the corner and sat on a convenient rock.
"What's with the screaming? My animals are trying to sleep." She looked at Reb and Wil wondering if either of them knew how she was feeling, this was her first attack on the empire and she wasn't sure if she was afraid or excited.

Ic: Wil tried to calm himself down. He, just like Cassiopiea, had never brought a full scale attack on the capital of Galbatorix' Alagaesia. He heard a faint, almost nonexistent screeching. He heard Cassiopeia's animals go insane from it. "That's it guys. Let's go." he said. Kagraign descended and he jumped off. "now let's go over the plan one more time. We riders are gonna sneak into the city tonight and destroy as much of Galbatorix' army as possible. Then when they're searching the streets, we'll try to get back here. We've only got tonight to do this, so if we start it, we're in it for good. Anyway, whoever gets here can only wait at most an hour before they must take their dragon and fly on Galbatorix' castle. Remember that he'll be guarded, but we cannot let a few soldiers stop us. Heh, listen to me. I'm only fourteen and I sound like a general leading a sneak attack. Must've gotten it from one of my best friend's father." Wil felt emotions welling inside him for the loss of the man he thought of as a second father. "Anyway, let's get going, we've only got until sunrise to kill Galbatorix, else the world falls into darkness for all eternity." he finished, straining to focus and push the emotions to the back of his mind.

" Why attack? It is peaceful right now, why ruin it?" Reb asked irritated, but followed Wil. " Stay." She commanded to her pets. They groaned and sat where they were. Reb followed as Wil was leading her somewhere.

Occ: That wasn't godmodding I hope.

She watched Reb and wil go confused but decided to stick to her plan, she was the only member of the group who wasn't a rider and she wasn't willing to fly anyone's dragon.
"I am Cassiopeia the lost elf who are you and what do you want from us?" she said keeping her voice loud and hoping it didn't shake too much.

Wil was leading them toward the city from the south side. As they walked, he said quietly. "You forget the watch-fires they've lit, Reb. They sense something is wrong. Galbatorix senses something is wrong." Wil said worriedly. He then turned to Cassiopeia. "I am Wil. My dragon is Kagraign." Kagraign bowed his large emerald head. "Reb and I know each other from...other adventures. I need both of you to help me defeat Galbatorix once and for all. I've explained the plan. Once we're in it, we're in it for good, so if you are afraid of death, now is the time to escape." he said. They got to the wall. Wil silently molded a walkway through it. They were in the side streets of Uru'baen. They walked a bit further and came to a spot where the road split down three separate alleys. "Remember this spot, for this is the escape spot. If you're close to being killed or overwhelmed, send up a bright green flare of magic so that Kagraign can come and help you, for he will be up in the sky monitoring us. This is where we split up and go our separate ways. Your only objective at the moment is to slaughter as many of Galbatorix' men as possible. If you find one begging for his life, and he's the only one left where you are, incapacitate him so he cannot get help, but spare his life. I only ask you to slaughter these men because of what treachery they and their wicked master have caused." Wil said.

With that, Wil quietly, quickly made his way down the alley to the right. He swiftly slid past doorways and crawled under windows. He was making his way toward the Eastern Barracks. Once, he was almost caught by a shifty figure slinking out of a doorway, but he'd barely escaped detection. After that Wil leapt to the top of a building and continued along the rooftops. When he got to the barracks, Wil slowed down and was as quiet as death itself. He tensed up when he heard voices below him. He chanced a peek out over the rooftop. Two soldiers were standing there with cups in their hands, drinking and laughing and being merry. The swords were unbelted from their waists and lying by the house. Off duty and drunk as monkies Wil thought to himself. These two would be easy to dispatch. Wil magically unthreaded two pieces of thatch from the roof and used the cool air of the night to freeze them solid. They were needles now. Wil leaned out over the roof again, readying the magic. "Thrysta" he breathed. The thatch needles were thrust through the men's jugulars, and they were dead before they could blink. They fell over with a sound Wil thought would wake all of Alagaesia. Wil readied more needles. Four more men came out of the house and leaned over to inspect the two. Wil send a needle through each of their necks, breaking the spine of each. When no one else came out of the building, Wil dropped to the ground. He turned around toward the building and saw one man pointing a sword at him. Wil unsheathed his sword, a sleek katana he'd found with his dragon. Though he was a rider, his sword was a strange sight in the world. He found a couple of scrolls hidden in the sheath teaching of a certain fighting style. He took a fighter's stance uncommon to most of Alagaesia. The man looked confused at both the sword and the person holding it. Wil smiled maliciously and launched himself off his forefoot, cutting clean through the man's steel platemail. Wil re-sheathed his sword and continued toward the barracks.

Leth: Leth sat with Galbortrix and watched as the intruders split up. " Kill the girl. I want those two to turn on her. " Yes sir, as you wish." Leth said and with a wave of her hand she turned Wil against Reb.

Reb: Reb ran down the alleyes and didn't find any men. She kept going and still found no men, only fires. She waved her hands and all the fires diminished. The crys of pain shot throught the night and could be heard for miles. Reb had just killed fifty men.

Wil found a strange sensation trying to overwhelm his body. He tried to read the message it was going to make him carry out. kiiiiiiilllllllllll RRRReeeeebbbbbbb.... was all that it said. Wil stopped in his tracks and blocked his mind so as to keep from being controlled. "N-no, I won't follow your orders! Tell your piece of scum master that he'll never break my friendship with Reb! Never!" Wil shouted into the wind. He knew he'd given his position away. He drew Mor'ranr as he heard shouts and clanking metal. The blade seethed with glowing emerald power. Wil knew not where this power came from. He positioned himself in the stance he'd practiced and read about from the secret scrolls located in the sheath of Mor'ranr. When the men saw him, they backed away, fearful. Wil caught a glimpse of himself in a nearby puddle as he ran toward the men. His eyes were burning the very color of his dragon. He rushed on with a surge of excitement and fury from the find. The men were sheep, and he was the wolf running to kill them all. As Wil caught up to the men, they saw that fighting him was inevitable. They turned to face him, but got only a searing pain and then blackness. Wil killed them before they had a chance to fight. When all that were near him were dead, Wil, breathing somewhat faster than he had been, turned to face the general that had commanded the East Barracks. He had the man cornered down an alleyway. "You're next." Wil said. Then, he was hit with a wave of shock. "Y-you're the man who took my brother!" Wil shouted. When Wil had only been nine, his brother had been taken in a raid on Therinsford. As Wil's anger grew, his blade was engulfed with emerald fire. So it reacts to emotions. This is a good thing. Wil thought. "P-please spare me. I was o-only acting on k-king Galbato- Wil struck the man down without letting him finish the sentence. Wil sheathed Mor'ranr. Then the weird sensation came back. Wil had completely forgotten about the attack on his mind and body, until the new wave of it showed up out of nowhere. "You will not take my mind!" Wil shouted. He had a new plan, and he told it to Kagraign, and had him tell it to the others, as he ran toward the palace.

OOC: this is my first time rping so please tell me if I need to adjust anything.

IC: Jaid was flying around when something caught Ceude's eye.
Ceude whispered into Jaid's ear, "Can you land here?"
Ceude could feel Jaid's mind touch his If I must
Jaid flew down, and hid behind a couple of large rocks.
"Stay here, I'll be fine. If I need your help I'll call you." Ceude said as he dismounted then started to run off towards the gate.
I've heard that one before.
Ceude ran off and hid behind a rock while he watched the gaurds. When they turned their backs he ran in. He reached out with his mind, and felt a strange force tugging on his mind, but ignored it. He looked to see if any gaurds were near him, he found a strange presence, and decided to follow it. A gaurd snuck up behind him, but Ceude mumbled a few words and the gaurd fell unconscious. He opened up his mind again and decided to follow the presence, but found himself being pulled towards the castle.

Cassiopeia was beginning to hear voices but she couldn't make out what they said
"Either the person sending out these messages is lazy or It doesn't consider me important enough to deal with" she whispered to herself
she ignored the voices and snuck into an outpost. She waited to attack drawing her sword watching it glow.

OOC: yeah, that was pretty good mdf92. it gets really fun to rpg on here. when you're really interested in something, it all fits together. this topic is kinda an example of that i'd say. have fun!

Reb heard a strangely familliar voice comanding that she must be killed. Then a pain shot through her head, and she fell to the ground, and couldn't think straight. Star Gazer felt Reb's pain and shot through the sky like a bullet.

Leth smiled as she felt her sister fall to the ground in pain, then turned her chanting up stronger, where no one could resist it.

Wil felt the chants overwhelm him. He knew he couldnt succumb to them, or all was lost. He fell to the floor inside the barracks. All his enemies around him cowered, for they thought he'd surely gone mad. Wil was struggling with the being that was trying to control him. He couldn't do anything. Suddenly, Kagraign's mind melded with his own, and a light green film encased his vision. Everyone he looked at fell to the ground, dead. He saw a barrel filled with drink up ahead. He gazed into it and saw that where his eyes and the bridge of his nose were supposed to be was just a supremely bright ray of light. As he was looking at the barrel, the drink started to bubble. He held his hand above it. The water was boiling. Whoever had tried to control Wil had unleashed a part of him that concentrated through his eyes. Once he was done with the men, Wil turned back to the person trying to gain control over him. He concentrated, and then proceeded to viciously attack the person. He beat the mind with all he had. Barriers were nothing. Defenses fell. Wil left the person with barely the power to survive, for he wanted to meet this person. To ensure the survival, Wil transferred some of his own strength through the link between minds. Then the shades of green disappeared from his eyes. Wil sensed that Reb was in trouble and, completing his objective, went to help her.

" I shall show him how it is done." Leth said angrily, and shot one fiery arrow into the sky, and both Star Gazer and Karigan fell. Reb felt Star Gazer's strength fell, and began to get up even though the pain was unbearable. She hobbled her way to Star Gazer's side, and transfered all energy left in her to her dragon. Reb fell forever. Zantya stood looking stunned. She tried to find Reb but all she got was an empty void.

Wil rushed toward Reb right as she was transferring her power. "Reb, no!" was all he could shout. He felt Zantya take over, and Reb was lost. Wil looked to his right. There lay Kagraign. Wil rushed toward him and noticed that the only damage was that his wings were pinned together by the arrow. Wil couldn't help but let out a small laugh at the sight. "Hah. Stupid wench hasn't got the accuracy to kill you, now does she Kagraign?" Kagraign grunted. It would help if you could get this arrow out. It hurts. he replied, though Wil could hear the amusement in his voice. Wil leapt up on Kagraign's back and completely disentigrated the shaft. Then he healed the hole in each wing. "Kagraign, there's a problem. Reb has given her life to save Star Gazer. We must go to the Vault of Souls to bring her back." Wil said. Then he turned to Zantya. "That is, if Zantya is willing to regain her human half." he stated. As they were standing there, a great burst of flame leapt out over the city. It exploded in mid-air, causing the outer houses to be completely engulfed in flame. "Kagraign we've-" got another problem. I know. But do you really expect me to be able to fly all of you out? Kagraign asked. Wil looked to Star Gazer. "Was Reb's strength enough? Will you survive? Kagraign and I could provide more if you need it." he said.

Cassiopeia finished with the outpost men lay dead at her feet and she shuddered, she hated killing.
She looked up and saw Star Gazer and Kagraign falling. The voices had dissipated into nothing without much energy so the attacker was not as powerful as they thought they were.
She'd seen Leth fire the arrows and she was angry.
She ran she jumped using her elven speed to find herself in front of Leth sword raised before the coward could flee.
"You have disgraced your honor shooting down people from afar, they were no threat to you. Now I must ask why you decided to attack my allies" she smiled but did not lower her sword. "If your story isn't good enough i may have to kill you."

" I will be fine Wil." Star Gazer said getting up. " You don't realize just how powerful Reb was." Star Gazer added. She was completely healed. Zantya stood forward. " Leth wasn't after Reb. She was after me." She said.

Leth glared at Elaine and disapeared into mid air.

ooc: my name's Cassiopeia!!
ic: "You won't get away from me that easily!" She whispered and followed her trail using magic.
She appeared behind Leth and slapped her to send her into shock.
"Don't run from me you treacherous coward!" She snapped years appeared on her face "Answer my question!"
She laid her sword against Leth's throat.

Meanwhile, Wil and Kagraign were speeding toward Galbatorix and the Vault of Souls. They knew that Galbatorix held the key, so to get Reb back they would have to kill him. Don't worry Reb, we're coming. He thought. Kagraign shot up above the rooftops. Wil destroyed two ballistae that were about to be fired at Kagraign. He was furious at whoever had forced Reb to give her life. His emotion poured over into Kagraign, who flew faster. They bolted toward the castle. They were almost there when Wil saw a brigade of archers readying their bows. He panicked. He didn't know if he was able to stop that many arrows. C'mon Kag, you gotta fly faster! Wil thought. He was so focused on avoiding the archers that he didn't even realize that he had his mind closed to everyone, including Kagraign. The archers fired their bows and Wil saw the moment of truth coming. He yelled, "Kagraign, left!" Kagraign barrel-rolled to the left just as Wil yelled, "Thrysta!" pushing the arrows out. Wil halted the arrows in mid-air and magically broke the arrowhead off of each. He let the shafts drop and sent each arrowhead into an archer's head. Kagraign flew up to one of the pinnacles of the castle. Wil jumped off and ran inside. He stopped. He was in a large, lush room. It had gilded crimson banners around the whole circular tower. There was an oriental rug spread over the floor, also crimson. It ran down the stairs and throughout the whole castle, Wil guessed. He hated to spill blood on these fine pieces of art. He took the steps two at a time, until he heard the clank of many armored feet approaching from below. He leapt up and ran down the wall instead of the stairs. He saw the soldiers passing below him, their sweaty faces dumbstruck. Wil reached the bottom of the stairs, jumped around the corner, leapt off the wall, and hung on to the chandelier. He looked down. He was in a great ballroom with the same intricate banners lining the walls. There was a theatre-like rise across the great hall. Galbatorix' dark shadow plagued the throne. There were hundreds of thousands of soldiers in front of him, all looking at Wil. "Galbatorix! You scum! You had your puppet try to take Reb's lifeline, and ended up killing her instead! Tell me, where have you hidden the Vault?" Wil shouted. Kagraign, wait for it.

OOC: am I allowed to speak as galbatorix? he's not really an rpg character, but he's one of the biggest characters in the Inheritance Trilogy. Shade, what do you think?

Leth smiled, and disapeared again, and then came up behind Cassiopia, and wacked her over the head with a board. She then transported herself to Galbortrix's side.

ooc: sorry i've been away

ic: Cassiopeia jumped up swearing, she sensed a trail and followed it finding herself right next to galbatorix his darkened aura was overpowering and she jumped away realizing she'd left her sword behind.

Cassiopeia saw will and the soldiers and swore again, what were they going to do?

OOC: I'm just gonna go with it. Sorry Shade or any of the RPG team if it's against the rules.

IC:Wil was still hanging from the chandelier. He saw Cassiopeia appear by Galbatorix. He saw the soldiers all turn toward her. He took this chance to draw an arrow and muttered, "Thrysta," sending the arrow through a soldier's neck. Then he thought, Shoot... and hid on the chandelier as hundreds of arrows flew his way.

OOC: sorry its short, i didn't get what i wanted to done. I'll get it done the next time. My mom's a pain...

Reb felt like she was floating. Her body was gone, and she saw hundreds to thousands of souls floating there. She held her hand up to the light and saw that she was but a strand of glittering light. She could feel all around her, and some how she was being drawn to someone. And she soon found herself right next to Galbortrix. Her body restored, but she was still only a bit of light, no matter how she looked. " I know you all are here for this special prize, but of course I am not sure I want to give it back." He said lifting Reb's chin and examining her. " You see she has the princess of all dragons in her power and her body holds the princess of the race of shades. If I wanted to give her up, it would be after she was dead. And all of her powers were mine, but until then, I have to find a way to keep her dragon alive when I kill her." He said then Reb disapeared again. Back into the vault.

Wil looked at Galbatorix with pure rage. "You...you senile, insane, power hungry...beast!" Wil shouted. As he leapt toward the throne, he thought, Kagraign, now! and heard the entire ceiling collapse behind him. He barely heard the screams of soldiers as they were crushed under the enormous chunks of ceiling. Wil flipped and lightly landed on the raised platform. He drew Mor'ranr as he walked slowly toward Galbatorix. A few soldiers that were on the still-ceilinged platform rushed at him. Wil didn't even look their ways as they flew back and necks snapped against walls. Wil stuck the point of his sword on Galbatorix' throat. A small trickle of dark blood seeped out. "You bring her back! She didn't deserve to die to be part of your sick plan, you worm! Cassiopeia, search the castle! He might be strong, but he doesn't have the power to reach into the nothingness to pull a soul from the afterlife. The true Vault has to be here somewhere. If you find anyone, kill them." he said. He tightened his grip on his sword. Then, Galbatorix laughed. He raised his hand and grabbed the sword on it's sharpest part. Blood oozed between his gloved fingers. "You honestly think that this can hurt me?" Wil pulled the blade out of Galbatorix' grip and made a quick downward slash. He severed Galbatorix' hand. Galbatorix looked at his bloody stump with a mixture of wrath and surprise. Then, Wil saw something that made him back up a step. Galbatorix' hand started crawling back up his leg. It sent a shiver down Wil's spine, but he quickly kicked the hand off of Galbatorix' leg and stomped on it. He stomped until he was sure the hand was almost flat. He looked at Galbatorix maliciously. Then he noticed that Cassiopeia was still standing there. "Well, are you going to find the Vault or would you like to take care of the old man here?" he asked. He kicked the crumpled hand into the air and Kagraign swooped down and crunched it in his jaws.

Cassiopeia finished her spell and sent the magic at the wall, it crumbled in front of her and she headed towards it "We aren't all dragon-riders Wil! I haven't got any-one to fall back on if my strength starts to fail!"
She ran through the hole and started running, she bumped into an old lady who wore too many amulets.
"Most of those are fake you know" She said
"Real magic is hard to come by these days" The old lady smiled revealing many missing teeth.
Cassiopeia swallowed the urge to slink away and asked "Do you know where the vault of souls is?"
"I know, but why should I tell you?" Cassiopeia raised her eyebrows and the woman said "Follow me"
She didn't know if she trusted her but she was in a hurry.
"Okay"

" Cassiopia, I am here, fall back on me." Zantya screamed then plumeted through the open cieling. She stood there between Wil and Cassiopia. She saw Galbortrix's severed hand, then smirked. She dashed after CAssiopia.

Leth waited until her dear sister had distracted Wil, and then apeared and used her sword, and cut a deep gash in his throat. But it wasn't deep enough to break the vien. Darkness shot out of the end and eveloped the dragon to where it couldn't move. She smiled then waved her hand over Galbortrix's hand, and it came back.

OOC: Can i join?? And tell me if i did anything wrong, it's my first RP post ever.
IC: There was a flash of light and behind Leth appeared an elf with a bow, an arrow fitted to the string, and a dragon. The elf aimed an arrow at Leth's leg and let it fly. The arrow embeded itself deep in Leth's thigh and pinned her to the ground. She quickly used magic to teleport Will and herself to a room containing a vault. She laid him on the ground and quickly used magic to heal his wounds. "What are you doing Eriel? Who is this guy?" "Emrhyst, didn't you hear them just now? He seemed to need to get here and i helped him to." As she finished, she heard a click and knew that his wound was completely healed."Besides, he should be on our side, since he did cut Galbatorix's hand off" Suddenly, her ears picked up the clank of armoured boots, she quickly used magic and turned all three of them invisible. "Shh.... Be still young one"

OOC:You can join anywhere, anytime, though sometimes you should probably use common sense to decide that it's not the best time to join. Anyway, you're doing fine. And seeing as this is the only active RP thread.. well, not exactly active, but.. close enough, I'll walk in too if no one minds.

Simoro walked in the air above the empire's land. It was an ability he hadn't thought of untill recently, and he enjoyed it. It reminded him of his dragon, even though it wasn't close to the thrill of flight. He coughed as a cloud passed too close to him, and moved out of its path. The wind was strong up this high, though he didn't notice it. It was still nothing to the wind on a dragon's back... He sighed. Then, suddenly, he sensed a flicker of movement below. He quickly uttered a phrase in the ancient language, and closed his eyes, only to see with a clarity that his eyes never should have. He observed the scene unfolding below, and had to stop in his mind to praise the rider who had just appeared. He almost laughed, considering how much the world relied on magic now. He pondered leaving the scene alone for a while, then saw someone prepare a fatal blow... "Letta!" The word almost flew from his mouth before he realized it. But as usual, the effect was instantaneous. He calmly walked into the now frozen scene and adjusted the person's weapon so that it would miss horribly. He then prepared another spell in his head, and let time resume its course. He recognized several of the people, but he didn't stop to talk. He watched the attack miss, and readied himself for whatever might come next.

Cassiopeia was glad that Zantya was by her side, she followed the old lady silently and found herself in front of Wil and a stranger.
"Do you know these people?" she asked he was lying down but he seemed unhurt.
She drew her sword just in case and studied the room for any sign of a vault.

"Yes, I'm fine. This woman came and teleported me here. I'm guessing the Vault is somewhere around here." Wil said, getting up and brushing himself off. He looked to the far wall. There was a glowing portal floating in the center of the wall. He saw Reb on the other side of the mirror-like portal. He walked toward it and held his hand up. A mysterious glowing power emanated from it. He cautiously put his hand closer to the Vault. It went clear through. He tried to move his fingers and found that nothing was really different, except for the ghostly aura that surrounded his hand. He saw Reb's soul and met her eyes. He motioned her toward him. "Zantya, come here. Reb can only re-join the mortal world if her soul is joined with it's old body." He said.

OOC:Wow kinda tough to reply to. Can somebody make up the person who unsheathed his/her blade? Hey, it might be your character, since i did offend one of your characters i think.

IC:Eriel and Emrhyst had been watching Zantya caustiously. As she drew her sword, all the muscles in her body tensed, she could also feel Emrhyst's nervousness across their mental link. The feeling however, subsided when she realised that Will and the woman beside him were friends. "So that's why you wanted to come here, it'll take a very strong spell to merge miss whatshername's soul with her body. It would take all of our energy to perform that spell and even then i'm not sure if we would join her in the-" She stopped as she heard a blade being unsheathed.

OOC: If no one else claims the sword, insert the green part. Otherwise leave it out.
Simoro wanted to learn a little more about the people before he revealed himself - if he did so at all. Sadly, the rider hadn't considered just how easy his spell had been to follow, though, so he devoted his time to Leth and Gallabatorix. He knew from experience that he couldn't harm Gallabatorix. But the tyrant would remember him, and know that he had rage. And on top of that, he was probably still slightly unnerved. He could only hope... He spoke aloud, though he himself reamained hidden. "Gallabatorix..." The king jerked his head up. Good. He was surprised, at least. "King of this Land, you still say? And yet, this land.. its people.. it is those with whom you now wage war." In his mind he started preparing the spells. First, he started making himself fade in, but still transparent. "You have seen that this land does not accept you as you are. Why do you still attempt to take it?" The younger man had now drawn his sword, and was approaching him. He looked at Leth and smiled. He spoke fully in the ancient language now; "You do not know me, or what I am, fool. Put away your blade." Gallabatorix hadn't moved. He hoped it was out of fear, though he could see that it was more arrogance. The king nodded towards Leth. Leth swung. Simoro didn't move.. Please work, he thought desperately. It did. He felt the blade fade out, and replaced it with an illusion, which appeared to pass right through him. The boy jumped back, and Gallabatorix stood. He made a point not to make the sword whole again. "Stop," he said, still in the ancient language. "I can no more harm you than you me." He hoped that was as true as it sounded. He knew that at least the first half was; to him, the king was practically invincible. "I only ask this of you." He layered his voice with several magics. "Today, you have seen that though you may not die easily, you may be harmed. The tides may turn. But should you go after them, I personally, and the rest whom you have slain, will revolt, and you will find that if you live, it will be in misery. Such is the power of the enemy that you would invoke by following them. And not just us riders, but our dragons. And see now the power that killing my dragon has given to me." The first thing he did was purely for show. The room flashed white, so that none could see it. Then he cast three spells to move himself; two just to throw the king off should he try to follow him anyway, and one to take himself somewhere. He aimed right, and landed where he intended. But in his haste, he was still partially visible. Cursing ,he drew his sword loudly, scaring several of the room's members as he did, and cut through the air of illusion around him. It peeled off like a fruit's skin, and he further decimated it with his blade. He looked up at the people now, some simply surprised, others looking scared by the sound of a sword.The illusion removed, he looked into the face of the one he had seen walk in unexpectedly and save the life of another, and then at the rest of the shocked, unfamiliar faces in turn. He just said, "Hi," and then muttered to himself with a chuckle, "I need to get out more." Then something caught his eyes... The vault... He looked in, and saw something he had never thought to see again: His dragon.

Reb sensed Zantya and was intantly pulled into her own body again, and was back. " Did you miss me?" She asked then saw everyone around her, She also spotted other souls. " Sorry, I have to go again." She said then her body floated away again. Zantya tried with all her might to keep her there, and failed.

OOC: This is the longest post i've made so far, i hope it's good enough XD

"Sure" Instantly, Eriel felt her mind and Emrhyst's merging into one, she could feel her dragon's mental energies mingling with her own. It was the first time she had ever been this close to her dragon and was getting nervous. Using the ancient language, she roared, "Come back to this world, merge with your body, come back to your friends. Do not go back to where the shades or men and all dead creatures dwell, come back, come back to the realm of elves, men, dwarves and dragons, come back!" The result was amazing, Reb's soul started floating back, and unexpectedly, so did the soul of her father. Her eyes started to water, she could almost feel her eyes getting flooded, all of it would have streamed down her face if she had not have to let go of the magic supporting the spell. Her father started to float back into the vault, Reb's soul started to merge with her body. Eriel waited untill she finally merged with her body before releasing the magic and leaned on her dragon. "You did well young one" There was no reply as as soon as Eriel leaned on Emrhyst, her eyelids started to close. Emrhyst was startled at her reaction and started laughing when she saw the faces of the rest of the people in the room: fear, surprise and shock. "Don't worry, this always happens when she performs a powerful spell. She'll come to in a few hours, just u wait."

Cassiopeia was surrounded by too many people and was starting to get uncomfortable.
"I"m glad you're back Reb" was all she could think of to say before she ran out the room, she would go and battle Galbatorix before he caught her by surprise. She ran quickly and soon found herself in sight of Leth and Galbatorix, another stranger was there but he was not her concern, he seemed familiar but she had too much on her mind to figure out who he was.

"Where's Re-"She was cut off my swords beign drawn."Oh great, c'mon guys we better follow her." With this said, she took afew arrows from a nearby weapon rack and proceded to join Reb.

Zantya would let them fight. Star Gazer and Reb were her primary concern. She ran up the stairs further, and found the vault. She pulled it open and a rush of souls came at her. She slammed it back shut. Mabe that wasn't such a good idea.

Talais, on his own mission nearby, was startled by all of the camosion from the nearby city. As soon as he climbed on top of the wall an arrow whized past his head. In reaction he drew his bow and got a arrow ready. As he scanned the area another arrow hit the wall. Now knowing he was under attack he located were the shot came from and fired a direct hit on the soldier. He jump over the wall to get a closer look at what was happening.

She drew her sword and took a defensive stance, she whistled and the wind picked up. The fires started to flicker and dance scaring the soldiers, some of them fled but others came towards her. She took her strongest stance and waited as a few became thirty she became nervous.
You can handle it she whispered to herself hoping it was true.

IC:An arrow whized pass Cassiopeia's head, embedding itself in the chest of an unlucky soldier. Under her, Emrhyst realeased a great jet of flame, incinerating{Sp?} all in her path. They landed near her and stood back to back, readying themselves for the inevitable.Then, a great rain of arrows passed overhead. slicing the air into tiny little pieces, Eriel countered with a spell she had once seen her master do, "Letta orya thorna!" Even with her dragon's and her strength merged, it was not enough to stop all and an arrow enbedded itself deap in her shoulder, causing her to cry out in agony. As all turned black before her eyesm she could vaguely see The soldiers rushing at her, Emrhyst steadyly realeasing torents of flame, striking with claw and teeth, Cassiopeia using her sword skillfully, thrusting, cleaving, thrusting, and a stranger who had just killed a man. She had thought of muttering a counter-spell but knowing the risk and energy cost, she thought better of it and decided to let the blackness overwhelm her. She knew not where or when she would awaken but she dearly hoped it would be in a friendly camp but too far into the future.

ic: there were still too many soldiers. She desperately needed help and knew of only one way to get it. She was embarrassed to rely on such immature and weak magic but it would have to do. She stepped behind Eriel's dragon and started to concentrate.
She sent out this message into the minds of all those pure and strong enough to help her.

Ic: Talias heard a voice in his head. There is a battle against Galbatorix in the main hall but the few warriors are failing. Not knowing what to expect, either a trap or a plea for help, he tried to find out were this was coming from. He found a place and tried to see what was going on then he heard a burst of clashing swords and fighting. IC:Emrhyst grew mad with rage as she saw her rider fall. She used tooth,claw and tail to fend off the enemies, while contacting Eriel with her mind.Eriel heard it in deep in her own defences,coupled with the wounds her dragon was sustaining,she awoke from her slumber. As her eyes opened, she noticed a stranger fighting along side them, she saw a soldier slash at Cassiopeia's shoulder and wound her, knocking her to the ground and her dragon wounded by a spear. The sight of her dragon's and friend's blood made her blood boil,"Adurna!" The water rushed into her wound, driving the arrowhead out and cleansing it, then, she muttered,"Waise Heill." She stopped for awhile to regain lost energy and to allow the wound to mend itself before roaring out,"Draumr brisingr!" In front of her, the first rank of the soldiers collasped to the ground, writhing in the pain caused by the illusion before they suffered a mental breakdown and lay there, never to awake. "Wow young one, you invented yet another spell!" "Nothing big, used up quite alot of energy though." They spied the captain commanding the soldiers."Shall we dance?" "We shall" With that, she drew her sword, admiring the workmanship and the time put into making it. She merged her mind with Emrhyst even more than when she drew reb out of the vault of souls, soon, they could not tell whose arm was it that swung Du vranga Evinyara in an arc that slash through the platemail of a soldier, ending his pitiful life, whose maw was it that opened and allowed a great jet of flame to pour out of it, whose mouth was it that muttered words of power that killed and wrecked havoc. As they stormed into the host of enemies, the first thing they noticed was a massive dragon, fighting with tooth and claw and the occational torrent of flames. Then they noticed the fearsome yet beautiful elf, thrusting and cleaving with inhuman speed with a wonderous blade and a runed dagger along with words of power coming from her mouth. Before they reached the captain though, they were surrounded in a sea of enemies and forced to retreat back to the stranger and Cassiopeia. "Well that was fun, we should do it again sometime right Eriel?"You should not jest in a time like this Emrhyst"While parrying an axe blow and ending the soldiers life with a powerful swing that beheaded him. Soon, the captain realised that the battle was not turning out in favour of his army and suggested a duel with Eriel, without her dragon. "It may be a trap" warned Cassiopeia. "I know but if I dont do this, we might all get killed. Say bye for me to my queen if he gets me, and if he tries any teachery, come at him with full force or we shall surely die." Eriel said this while looking at the man. The combatants faced each other fearlessly, the two sides arrayed behind them. The captain looked at Eriel mockingly, those soldiers that did not see her fighting just now started jeering at her. The noise died down as they engaged each other, blades flying so fast they looked like three swords and two axes, then, loud cheering from the soldiers as they saw they captain wound her in the thigh. She staggered to her feet, not using the ancient language so as not to disadvantage him. "Does she have to be as 'honourable' as that? He most likely would've done the same thing anyway, then again it comes with being a rider and all."Emrhyst commented, projecting her thoughts so that all near her could hear. "Be quiet Emrhyst."Everyone there replied. Then a loud 'Boo' from the soldiers as Eriel tripped him. "Treachery! The elf has stabbed him while he lay helpless! To arms all you soldiers of Galbatorix! Kill her!" Cried a soldier from the ranks. Like lighting, the soldiers rushed forward, seeking to kill the elf. "Treachery! Friends, take up your arms and fight for the freedom of alagaesia! Charge!"

Reb didn't understand what happened but she was pulled back to life and was in the middle of a battle. She screamed as a soldier slashed at her throat, and blocked the blow and shot him through a wall with fire. She then lit all the soldiers around her into an infurno and then used that to help her fight.

Wil whirled around and saw a battalion of soldiers fighting the few brave warriors who'd come to stop Galbatorix. He nodded to Kagraign, then rushed toward the door. He drew Mor'ranr and cut three soldiers down at once. He rushed into the fray. Hearing orders being shouted, he fought his way toward the source. He hacked and slashed until he saw the man. The man was tall, he had long, matted, sweaty black hair. His eyes were beady and his nose was long and hooked. He was slim and muscular. Wil hefted Mor'ranr, testing the lightweight sword. He hurled it at the man. The sword pierced the man's armour, tearing through his skin and cutting his aortic valve right out, and then piercing the back of his ribcage and finally pushing through his back. The sword stuck to the wooden pole behind the man. Wil walked slowly toward the man. He pulled the sword back through his heart. Wil wiped off the blood on the man's tunic. He knew the men were demoralized.

IC:Eriel was fighting along side Emrhyst when she saw a group of archers amasing for a volley of arrows. "It's no good Emrhyst, take to the sky" "Won't we be an easier target up there?" "Yeah but that's the whole point!" Eriel exclaimed while parrying a sword. "What ever you say..."Emrhyst skided to a halt and let Eriel climb onto her back before flying off into the air. The archers saw this and started taking aim. A great ball of water amassed at her hand just as Emrhyst opened her maw to release a torrent of flames."Adurna!" Eriel exclaimed while Emrhyst released the flames with a loud "Rawr!"The archers below frantically released deadly shafts of arrows at the incoming projectiles in an attempt to stop them but to no avail, they passed right through the water and got burned up in the fire. The deadly projectiles hit the archers with such force that some of the soldiers behind got wet as well before being burnt up in the fire."A symphony of fire and water" "You know Emrhyst, i almost feel sorry for them, land Emrhyst, right next to will." "Woah.. look at the man's body... Looks kinda... deformed"She added with a laugh. Eriel however, did not join in the laughter but instead felt intense sadness. Rummaging through her rider's memory, Emrhyst finally found out why but decided against raising it to avoid making the situation worse. "Don't worry about that young one, what's happened has happened" There was no reply. Before Emrhyst could land, Eriel jumped off and slashed at a man who was creeping up on will. She could vaguely hear a 'Thank You' but was too occupied with the lieutenant who had confronted her. As soon as she saw an opening she darted in and struck him dead with a fire spell.She caught a glimpse of a blade coming down on her head at the corner of her eye, it was too close to dodge and coming down too fast to block, she shut her eyes as the blade came down on her, her whole life flashing before her eyes before she heard a slash of steel and opened her eyes.

Wil tensed as he pushed the man's sword back. He struggled with the man. He wouldn't let Eriel die this day. He kicked the man's arm, fracturing the bone. The sword dropped with a clang, and the man fell to his knees. Wil put his blade to the man's throat, intending to release his voicebox before he could scream. Suddenly, he felt his hand stayed. Someone wasn't going to let him take this man's life. Wil looked to his side, surprised to see who it was.

IC:"Dont kill him yet."Will and the soldier looked at her. Eriel continued, "See the marks on his face? Compare it with the marks on the lietenant's, then look at the normal soldiers, as you can see, this guy here is obviously an officer, why not capture him and get some information out of him?" The man spat at her, calling her a coward and a traitor to the empire and yelling that he would not give them any information. Eriel put her sword at the man's throat and told him with her mind "That was insulting, and since you won't give us any information, i'll kill you" She was about to end his life when she felt her mind's defences being overwhelmed, she looked at the man with a shocked look in her eyes as she watched him transform into an urgal sage with a gleaming sword at his side and spear on his back, she knew him immediately, he was the one who had wounded her with his spear. Her scar started to burn as the urgal battered at her defences, it was too much for the elf who, from young had never been good at withstanding pain, after afew minutes was forced to use a deadly spell to cut away the scar and make it grow back. She was in excruiciating pain as the spell started to work, tears started to form at her eyes, then, there was suddenly no more pain and she found her flesh back the way it was before the ambush 40 years ago. Within her mind, she retaliated with a blast or pure force she never thought she was capable of summoning and forced the urgal back into his defences where she entered his mind and found the memories containing the castle's defence network, it's agents and those sort of stuff. She left it to will who slew him with a swift sword thrust.

Sloane laughed looking down at the battle. "Why are we here?" asked Mage.
"We're looking for something, remember?", Sloane replied, turning to the wolf. "Call Nysia. They might need help." Marox growled, as Sloane jumped into the battle, cutting her way into the middle of the fray. She smiled.
She noticed elves, humans, and creatures working together. I'm coming!Nysia roared. A thud siganled her entrance. She Dragoness stopped and spread her wings menacingly at the soldiers. Sloane stood in front of her, sword raised high, soldiers swarming in.
"Marox, Mage!" The two leaped down to her side and waited for orders.

"Newcomers Eriel, should we help them?"Emrhyst said, looking at them as she did so. Eriel looked at the three of them, "I think they'll be alright, they look strong enough" A spear pieced Emrhyst's foreleg as Eriel finished, great drops of blood pouring out. Emrhyst let out an agonized scream as Eriel stifled a cry, She teleported themselves away, quickly healed Emrhyst, and then returned to the battle. As the soldiers began to swarm again, she was pushed back towards the three newcomers. She sheathed her sword and climbed onto her dragon. As soon as she was in the air, she pulled out her bow and started raining deadly shafts or arrows down upon the soldiers.

ic: Talias was being overrun. the was just so many troops and it seemed for every troop he killed 2 more would come. This isnt working, he thought to himself. if this continues he would get killed. he had to come up with a plan and fast. Dead trrops lay all around him. he decided he had to find a friendly soldier, he couldn't fight all of these man by himself. He struggled as he made his way through the horde of enemies.

OOC: Good to see ya Lux

IC: Wil looked toward Sloane. "Good to see you!" he shouted, parrying a black arrow and sending his own toward the archer. He slumped over, the arrow protruding from his skull. "Good shot." Lucia said. She was never far from him during the battle. Wil nocked an arrow and aimed it at a mage. His aim was true. The arrow flew at almost mach speed, with help from a quick shout of "Thrysta!", and flew clean through the man's chest. It continued to pierce armor and bone until fifty soldiers lay dead from the single shaft. As soon as the one was released, Wil nocked another. He sent shaft after shaft into the fray. Soon, there was an arc of steel-armoured corpses laying fifty wide all around him. Wil put his bow away and drew his sword. Another captain rushed toward him. Wil decided to fight dirty. He punched the man's adam's apple and then spat in his face. Wil then stripped the man of his left calf. The man fell. Wil stiffened the man's body with a single spell, then made his body float with another. Wil took the man to a safe haven on the battlefield, behind a few brave soldiers and Kagraign. "What do you know?" Wil asked harshly. He held his blade to the man's throat. Wil leaned his face up close to the man's. The man was sweating bullets, his face pale. His eyes were laden with fear. "Believe me. If you don't talk, I will do things to you that not even Galbatorix would do in your worst nightmares!" Wil threatened. The man still didn't talk. "Looks like it's time for some cruel punishment." Wil said. He began to slowly remove the man's chestplate. Once he got the chestplate off, Wil thought of a spell to use. He couldn't fit the words together, so he just said, "Brisingr," and the man screamed in pain. Wil blocked out the agonizing screams. The man's skin was splitting, as if on fire. There was no flame though. Then, the man screamed, "Alright! I"ll talk! Just take the pain away! Please!" Wil reversed the spell. The man's bare chest skin was cracked and red and festering. "You'd better talk fast. Disease and more agony are well on their way." Wil said. The man told him everything he knew. "Thank you, now, all I'll need is your affirmed resignation from Galbatorix' army, and you're free to go." Wil said. "Alright, I'll even join your ranks if you want me to, just please, don't do that again and please heal me." The man said. Wil felt for the man, if ever so slightly. He healed the man, released the spells, gave him a clean set of clothes, and let the man go. The man ran off, out of the castle, and Wil never saw him on the battlefield again.

"Wil! Lucia!" Sloane ran toward the pair. "How are you? What are you doing here?"
KaragainNysia said. She dipped her head to the green dragon.
"I got a scent on a hatchling around here. I think I found her. Nysia got Karagain's mind signals and landed over here. But, as I asked, what are you doing here?" Sloane asked, cocking am eyebrow. "I could have some fun here", she observed, playfully.

Reb watched a group of soldiers sneak up on Wil. " DUCK." She screamed at him and she released a dagger. It sliced a few throats and then fell to the ground as a sword hit it. She released a jet stream of fire and then ice. The remaining soldiers around him froze or burned. She whiped her hands on her pants leg then drew her sword and parried a blow. Star Gazer roared from up above and let fire hit Reb. It iluminated her and her sword burned with a new light.

OOC: The battle's gettin kinda boring, what say we retreat and regroup?
IC:Despite all her archery, the soldiers never seemed to diminish in number, but instead kept on growing, soon, she was out of arrows and had to land. "Emrhyst, im going to jump off, fly low." As Emrhyst started her decent, Eriel spied more soldiers coming out of a trapdoor near the cellar, " Jierda!" The wooden trapdoor collasped on the men underneath, "Emrhyst, flames!" Emrhyst let out a torrent of flames heading straight for the trapdoor, "Thrysta brisingr" The fire shrunk enough to let it go through a small air hole, "Losna" The fire returned to its original volume, burning through the ranks of soldiers still left in that tunnel. "That settled that" Emrhyst said as she landed before taking off again, wrecking havoc wherever she went. Eriel jump off Emrhyst, using her blade to kill and to maim. She killed another lieutenant, she spied a blade coming down on her, the soldier doing this seemed to be a rookie though, as he held his sword in such a fashion that left a big opening for any arrow. Eriel threw her sword in the air, caught it with the blade facing back and plunged it deep into the man's chest. The blade cut through his armour, tore through his skin, punctured a lung and exited the man's body through the back,then,she pulled the blade upwards and made a whole two times as big as her blade, satisfied, the pulled out the blade and left him to die. She started thinking about the soldier for he was quite young, and had alot to accomplish, she almost resented what she had done. Suddenly, she saw Talias heading towards her, followed by a group of soldiers. Tired as she was, she dared not use only the energy remaining in her body for the spell, instead, she took some from the vast reserves of her dragon,"Draumr brisingr!" The whole party of soldiers fell dead. "Well met Talias-vodhr"

"Wil, your lot's looking abit tired..."
Aren't you going to introduce us? Nysia asked, looking around at all the Dragons. Mage sniffed the air.
Humans! he warned.
"That means we may need to hurry. So what's going on here?"Sloane asked, setting her hands on her hips. Marox growled deep in her throat.

OOC: mind if I join in?
Faefnir flew with great speed towards the battle with the Stag running at his side. He had been watching this battle since it began, but he knew that eventually, the group would be overrun despite having 3 Riders, one of them his good friend, Star gazer. It took him and the Stag mere minutes to get out of the desert and approach the battle. As the Stag stayed behind to watch the road for more soldiers, Faefnir circled over the battle site to see if the group could possibly hold up. They couldn't. Faefnir saw their anxiety and the fatigue of battle coming across their faces. So, Faefnir decreased his speed, told the Stag to go ahead and join the battle, then with one swift motion, landed in front of the main group of soldiers, his golden form dazing and confusing them. As the Stag gored several more soldiers along the group's right flank, Faefnir let out an astounding roar, then engulfed the soldiers with golden flame. This made Faefnir almost sick, hearing those horrible screams and burning flesh, but he knew it had to be done.

Reb screeched as she was forced to the ground by a strong man who was fighting for Galbortirx. Star Gazer threw him so far with her jaws he landed next Faefnir. Reb launched back into battle and so Did Star Gazer.

OOC:No way, after all, the more the merrier ^^
IC:Eriel and Emrhyst looked up at the magnificent dragon, his scales were shining so bright it looked almost like white. Their morale skyrocketed at the new reinforcements, and their legs stopped trembling. Emrhyst looked at the gold dragon in surprise, awe, reverence and glee, She never thought that so ancient a dragon had survived the war. When she saw Faefnir roar she almost jumped back in fright, the fire was so close Eriel actually put a spell around her to protect her from the flames. The soldiers looked dismayed, having already lost 2 captains and 3 lietenants, they were barely hanging on and now they saw more reinforcements for their enemies, some of them broke ranks but most of them fought all the harder, driving Eriel towards the wall and away from Emrhyst. She fought hard, but soon, she was wounded in many places, she had almost no more energy left and her wards were used up. Then a spear pierced her sword arm to pinned it to the wall, causing her to release it. She cried out in agony, before she drew her dagger and hacked at the shaft. The shaft broke into two and it fell to the ground. She forced her arm out of the remainders of the spear shaft and maimed a soldier with her dagger. She transfered his remaining energy into her body. Emrhyst came bellowing and mad with rage towards her rider, slaying all in her path. The distraction allowed Eriel enough time to heal her arm, quick as lighting, she seized her sword and plunged it deep into the abdomen of the soldier who wounded her. She whispered,"Draumr adurna" The soldiers fell into a swoon and lay on the ground, dead.

ic: "well met ," Talias said to the person whom had just saved him. he looked around at the dead soldiers around him. he drew his bow a nocked a arrow. "brisinger!" Taiais shote a arrow with great power and it exploded into another upcoming party of soldiers. "there is to many we have to come up with a plan we are being over run. Talias slashed another upcoming soldier.

OOC: let's keep the battle going a bit longer. Vodhr is a middling praise for a male. Back in medieval times it would've been a nobleman of lower class, such as one who was about thirty spots back in line for kingship. That last part is a maybe. I don't know that for sure but vodhr is an honorific for a male that basically is better than Mr. and worse than Dr. Do you understand?

IC:Wil looked to Sloane. "I could be considered a lieutenant of this operation. I created a plan about seventy-two hours ago to take Galbatorix' life. Then, there were only three of us, now..." Wil gazed at the small army fighting for freedom. Maybe this is what the Varden felt like when they first started? Kagraign chimed in. "Maybe so, but still, we musn't let Faefnir have all the fun. He may think he's protecting us but I believe we should continue to fight. We are, after all, an army of liberators. A band of gallant rebels. We have the energy and will to fight! We will win this day! There will be no dying! All of you! Follow me! To freedom! To life without Galbatorix!" Wil shouted to the lot. He charged into the line of soldiers, Lucia and Kagraign hot on his heels. Wil met the first spearman with a renewed burst of energy. He leapt over the man, piercing the spear arm with his blade. He landed behind the man to be dealt a crippling blow to the gut from the spear. Wil doubled over in severe pain. He knew the light body armor he'd been given by the elves was strong, but it didn't block the pain. He knew the blade end would come 'round to take his head, and Wil was prepared. He backflipped just in time, as he saw the blade stick into the ground. He took a moment to inspect himself. He had a few broken ribs, but no serious damage. Yet. He picked up his blade and impaled the man. He looked to his left and met another's eye. The man had seen his deed and was wide-eyed with fear. He ran. Wil chased after him, kicked his legs out from under him, and held his blade to the coward's throat. The man bawled, crying out things such as "Please don't hurt me, I have a family that I wish to see once more before I die!" Wil cursed his own kind, young heart. He lifted his blade and gave the man the same warning he'd given the tortured man. The man ran off into the battle, to be pierced in the shoulder by a stray arrow. Wil watched him leave. "Atra esterní ono thelduin, Mor'ranr lífa unin hjarta onr, Un du evarínya ono varda." he whispered. He then returned to the fight. He found a rookie corporal giving orders like it was nobody's business. "Cocky son-of-a..." Wil murmurred. He charged toward the man and kicked him in the stomach. The man reeled and then swung around. He pulled his blade and struck Wil on the left shoulder. "D-damn you..." Wil said. His arm exploded in pain as he dropped his blade to clutch his crippled limb. He fell to his knees. "Heh, stupid boy! You were never meant for fighting! Why couldn't you just stay home and let our good king rule us peacefully!" the man shouted. Wil got angry. Very angry. He forgot his shoulder and picked up his blade. He knew his eyes were glowing bright green. It always happened when he got mad. He lost all interest in anything but the man. Arrows whizzed past his head, blades struck his body, but he never got a scratch. "Y-you believe that...that...tyrant, no, monster, is a good king!?" Wil shouted. He'd lost it. He wasn't angry anymore, no, Wil was furious. He never wanted to believe that anyone believed in the monster as this man did. Wil couldn't even think of the worst curse he could lay on this man. He battered the man's helmet with the flat of his blade. The helmet went flying. Pointed ears and fair black hair were revealed. "vanyali..." Wil said, astonished. The man looked at Wil with fair eyes. "I-I can't believe that anyone, lest an elf, would agree with Galbatorix." Wil said. He took his blade and, with many a regret, pierced the elf's chestplate. The elf fell to the ground with a soft grunt, never to sing a merry song again. Wil was starting to regret ever thinking of this plan. Too many lives were being lost. He healed his shoulder, sighed, and continued the fight.

A soldier smashed his sword into her back side, slicing it. She stumbled forward and Star Gazer was no where around. She had gone to fight with Faefnir. The man then whirled his blade around and she just barely moved out of the way as it hit the air in front of her neck. A little blood ran down her throat and onto the floor. She parried his blow and then stumbled even farther back. " Zantya I could use some help." Reb screamed out loud and gazes shot to her. Then they realized who she was. Then to her dismay Leth stepped forward. Her death sword swinging at her side.
" So glad I get to kill you here for all to see." Leth said with a grunt.
" This is my fight, not Rebs." Zantya warned. " By all means take over." Reb said. And then she transformed wearing her red outfit.

Faefnir looked at Star gazer as she approached, with the Stag at her side. What are you two doing here?! Get out of here before it's too late! Faefnir parried a blow from the side by a spearman, then swung his tail around to hit someone behind him while slicing the disarmed spearman with his talons. Suddenly, Faefnir looked up to see a monstrous black dragon with a very ancient Rider on his back. Oh no. Star gazer! Get everyone out of here! It's Galbatorix! Then, with a newfound rage he had not felt in many, many years, Faefnir took off towards the black form of Shruikan and the corrupt Galbatorix. As Faefnir flew closer towards them, he thought, At long last. The epic struggle between two mighty figures: Faefnir, oldest and most powerful of all dragonkind against Shruikan the Cursed and Galbatorix, destroyer of the Rider's Order. He met Shruikan in a glorious display of fire and blood.
OOC: Hope this will prolong the battle a bit. I think it will.

Eriel and Emrhyst fought to get to each other, slaying all in their path. Just then, Galbatorix and Shruikan appeared in the sky. Eriel's blood froze, her limbs started to tremble, her heart was beating so fast she could feel it thumping against her chest, she had not felt so afraid since the fall of the riders. But Emrhyst felt the exact opposite, she was excited at finally meeting shuriken, within her eyes burned a fire so bright it almost looked like two suns. Their emotions travelled across their mental link, Eriel was surprised at Emrhyst's excitement whereas Emrhyst was concerned for her rider. "Come on little one, if we die here, we die, I mean, as rider and dragon, we're supposed to fight Galbatorix." "Your right Emrhyst, if my queen saw me like this, I'd be banished from Ellesmera for an eternity." With that, she slipped onto her dragon's back, transferring all the energy she could get from the fallen soldiers. Soon, she had enough to place 5 wards around each of her comrades there. She flew into the fray, shouting aloud her battle cry in her mind and verbally. All she saw now was Galbatorix on Shruiken, her eyes burned with hatred, below her, Emrhyst let out a great jet of flame with one loud "Rawr!" Eriel sent fire and water at them with loud shouts of "Adurna!" and "Brisingr!". As they approuched the deadly duo, Eriel drew her sword.

Zantya watched as her sister stepped towards her. Her black blade flashing with death in Zantya's eyes. She drew her sword and held it high. [/i]" No wonder father never believed in you." Zantya shouted.
" He was weak." Letheona answered.
" So you killed your own flesh and blood?" Zantya asked horrified.
" Yes you see, my sword is named Demon and it was just itching to kill the king of the Shades." Letheona answered then swung at Zantya who dodged the blow.
" I come to help, and the humans won't leave." Star Gazer roared then slammed into the black dragon.

ic: Talias heard Faefnir's message. "come one we got to get out of here!" he shouted at his comanoins. He rushed out side where troops were raining arrows off roof tops. several of his allies fell dead, victim to several arrows. He saw the rest of his allies at what he asumed to be the rondevoo (defeni spelling mistake) point. he made a jolt for the area and took a wound in the leg from a arrow and then another arrow landed right next to him. he somoned all of his energy and escaped.

OOC: make sure you dont kill him or else that would make no sense

"Faefnir!" Emrhyst screamed her thoughts out as she saw another ball of energy speeding towards Faefnir's head. Eriel acted quickly, remembering her master's lessons on what to do when someone you dont want to die is on the brink of death, she released all the wards surrounding her allies and placed all of them on Faefnir. The ball hit the wards, greatly taking up her energy and sent her flying off the saddle and into the air. Emrhyst quickly melded her mind with Eriel's and lent her the energy to land safely. She took off her saddle, removed the wards, and teleported herself to the meeting point and lay her head down on her dragon's saddle. Emrhyst was in a fit of rage, she coudl not bear to see a dragon die in such a manner. Her eyes shone with the glory of battle, her heart was fillied with an anticipation that removed the trembling from her limbs. She lauched herself at Faefnir and pulled him out of the fray, she took several arrows as Galbatorix had ordered his archers to kill Faefnir but Emrhyst took all the arrows, some glancing off harmlessly as they struck her scales while most hit soft areas like her nose and wings. By the time she reached the meeting point, she was covered in a pool of blood and exhausted from the ordeal. Eriel jolted up as she felt her dragon's pain across their mental link, she quickly drew all the energy she could get from her surroundings, pulled out all the arrows and healed Emrhyst's wounds. As soon as she released the magic, a wave a death rolled over the smaller creatures and plants. 'Well, at least were safe' Eriel casually remarked.

Reb woke next to her dragon, and noticed Star Gazer was still asleep. Faefnir was standing not to far away. She walked up to him and kissed him on the cheek, then walked back to her dragon and tended to her. She still felt the pain in her gut, but it was more distant than it had been. She rubbed her hands down Star Gazer's neck over a scar and her hands lit to an orange aura and then heat radiated down into her dragoness. Star Gazer woke.

OCC the wound that is recieved by Zantya from Leth is the reason Reb faints all the time.
