I have read a lot of great series! It's SOOO hard to choose which is best though!!! I want to know what you guys like to read, maybe I'll put some into thought. . .

I don't read much.. but I like His Dark Material. And Lord of the Rings. And HP. And needless to say Inheritance. Narnia was my favorite when I was 10 though.. along with The Famous Five and Malory Towers (Enid Blyton's).

Can't really chose only one

I read a bunch of random books, but my favorite series would be Star Wars, because they are magical. But magical in a believable sense, like humanity could be there one day.

I enjoy the series by DAvid Eddings, such as the Belgariad, The Mallorean, The Elenium etc. Also the Obernewtyn Chronicles and Rangers Apprentice

Well, my favourite two series aren't even on this list:

1) Lord of the Rings
2) Wheel of Time

I can't believe you put Warriors, Unfortunate Events, and Spiderwick on there, over LOTR! Astounding. I mean, I enjoy Warriors, but Lord of the Rings is far better written. I went with SW, because I've enjoyed it, and it's freakin' huge! It's a true universe, and theres a lot of story in it.

For a single series, since Star Wars is practically a genre in and of itself, I enjoyed HP a lot, LOTR is VERY well written, if too long to read often. Eragons good. Narnia, etc. But you left a LOT off--even if there are only 10 options.

I know, LOTR is like a staple of modern literature.
OK, maybe not, but the point has been reinforced often enough...
Haha, it took me two weeks to read LOTR for the first time, mostly because I kept falling asleep...I picked SW because it is the most detailed
series, like Siege said-a whole universe. And the quality is mostly excellent too, which is impressive for such a big series.

fav. book seris: wheel of time (rest in peace robert jordan) Eragon, Dragons in our midst, Redwall, any thing by stephen king, dragon ridders of pern umm and a few others that i forgot...

Lord of the Ring by far ,even though it ain't up there, is the best!!!

for everyone who's getting upset because something's not up there, there is an option that says, "other." I chose Narnia because of all the magic that continues throughout the entire series and then the last book is just something else entirely. Although Harry Potter and Inheritence are on my top fave list (not an actual list), I had to chose other since I read the Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. Eleven huge books (averaging aroung 600 to 700 pages each) finished and I'm still wanting more. I wouldn't advise this series to anyone under 16 though. There's some graphic descriptions of battles, murders, and some other inappropriate stuff.

yay, another "Dragon's in our Midst" fan! good series, but not very well known. But not good enough to be my favorite. And Redwall's very good too.

I have read so many books i don't remember all of them... yeah, i like twilight but not as much as HP or eragon. I think my third fave is His Dark Materials. but i am WAY less obsessed with twilight than my sister is. she is truly mad. i like it cuz the vampires r cool.

There are alot of good series out there, but I would probably choose the Eragon series. It's very...fascinating.

Id hav 2 choose the Inheritance Cycle and the Twilight Series

The Riftwar series, starting with Magician. Raymond Feist was my first introduction into Fantasy after LOTR. He is a hard act to follow. But The Warlord Chronicles by Cornwell are brilliant. They are about Merlin and Arthur. I have read just about everything written on Merlin and there are some brilliant series out there, but these were a real refreshing take on the whole tired subject.
I have just finished Conn Igguldens Conqueror series. They were fantastic and mostly true. Genghis Khan's life from a boy until his death.
I could go on all day about the series I have read. The Inheritance series and HP are enjoyable light reading, but they would have to be pretty low on my list of favourites.
The Boudica series by Manda Scott is also another of my favourites. Also the Clan of the Cave Bear series is good, even though I read it many years ago.
My favourite series as a young teenager was the Silver Brumby Cascade series by Elayne Mitchell, I would reccommend these to any horse, animal lovers. Stars Wars, I have yet to read.

The Gemma Doyle Trilogy!!!
It feels like nearly no one had read those books and it makes me sad.
But there are a lot of really good series'.

SW is too broad a topic. But SW:Republic Commando is probably mine, purely because of the characters. And Mandalorians.

The Patrick Bower series, specific name escapes me, is great, and I love Pendragon.

Yeah, I have soooooo much stuff I need to read!! I'm in the middle of Brisngr right now, and then I need 2 finish reading the Uglies series, and people have a lot of series they r trying 2 get me 2 read, not to mention I'm reading a lot of fan fiction online, so I am booked! Litterally! lolz.

I LOVE HARRY POTTER!! It took me almost a YEAR to get over the major obsession stage, but I'm STILL obsessed!!
